“This is a very nice hotel, location is great, grounds are beautiful (overlooking golf course), room size and appointments are well done, bedding is very comfortable, and staff is friendly! They will suddenly have to move you (maintenance requirements for your first room) from your room overlooking the golf course to one on the parking lot side of the hotel, next to the housekeeping facility (can you say early wake up?) or the ice machine! Overall an excellent experience, in spite of the move issue. Will definitely stay there again.” Mar 24, 2008 by
Alessandro from Venice, CA
“Good for business. Golf course available. Watch for additional charges at Check in.” Feb 27, 2008 by
Jill from Colorado Springs, CO
“This is the second year we have stayed at this hotel on our anniversary. The first year we went without the kids and it was a very romantic atmosphere. This year we took the kids and found the hotel to be very kid friendly also. I would highly recommend this hotel to couples or families!” Feb 22, 2008 by
Kat from La Junta, CO
“My parents ended up staying there. The hotel was very nice.” Feb 18, 2008 by
Tosha from Apo, AE
“The hotel decor was beautiful. The bed was so uncomfortable neither me nor my spouse could sleep well. The food was delicious and overly priced.” Feb 15, 2008 by
Jacqueline from Albuquerque, NM
“Unattractive from the outside, the Inverness presented a miniscule room with a closet-sized bathroom -- no tub, just 2' x 2' stand-up shower. The Clerk made a point of publicly announcing the keys to the "standard room we booked online." They charged us $10 (non-negotiable) for services we did not use or receive, including WIFI and newspaper. Their staff is accommodating to a fault, and then they upgraded us to a suite because they weren't full (this is the third time they've done this for us) and gave us some drink comps for their bar just to be nice. That's the kind of service that makes you want to come back. What I'm saying is that we were so upset at the way The Inverness presented itself; we didn't even stay there even though our room was already paid for. This hotel was so full of itself, it forgot what was important -- the satisfaction of its customers. We were celebrating two big events in our family and could have spent a lot of money in their lounge and restaurant, but we were so put off by their service -- from valet staff to desk staff -- we didn't spend a dime there. The Inverness was completely disappointing -- overpriced, pretentious and even the unpleasant odor of sage burning in the lobby couldn't provide a new-age fix to this old -- and forgettable -- property.” Jan 25, 2008 by
Stephanie from St. Louis, MO
“The staff was just lovely young people all very accommodating. The rooms, restaurants, etc. were fabulous. I plan on staying again within the next few months.” Jan 9, 2008 by
Bob from Amarillo, TX
“Nice place, nicely decorated room although small. No extras like many 4 four stars provide. It makes a great 3 star.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Sandra from Highlands Ranch, CO
“I was looking forward to a 4 star treat, what I received was hot, cramped, a moldy shower, dirty bedspread. The breakfast restaurant was closed & customers were sent downstairs for a 2-3 star buffet. The public areas of the hotel are fabulous; I wish they would have brought this quality into my room.” Dec 6, 2007 by
Sylvia from Denver, CO
“This was not a 4-star hotel. The room was extremely small and I couldn't believe how small the bathroom was. When you open the door to the bathroom it immediately hit the toilet; it was horrible. The pillows were too soft and my back hurt the next morning. Even though they advertise free internet they charged an extra $30 for services we didn't even use (internet and valet parking). I will never stay at this hotel again and once again - this is not a 4-star hotel!” Nov 29, 2007 by
Ashley from Littleton, CO
“I booked this hotel as a honeymoon hotel. I wanted an outstanding room with great service. The room did not have a tub, just a stand up shower. The maid also woke us up to clean.” Nov 27, 2007 by
Dave from St. Francis, KS
“When we arrived the lady at the desk tried to jab us for 9.99 additional charges per night for valet parking, swimming pool and incidental charges. I refused to pay the additional charges because we park ourselves, we didn't use the pool. Then they wanted to split the incidental charges for the two nights we stayed there. I said just refund our money and we would go somewhere else. They refused. They did, they went ahead and not charge us for the two nights of 9.99 extra incidental charges. Then to top it all off, there was probably only 20% of the motel full, you could tell by the cars in the parking lot. They stuck us in a room the size of a large closet with a queen size bed instead of a king size bed. Second they should treat you like they want you to come back. I will never stay there again.” Nov 23, 2007 by
Esther from Costa Mesa, CA
“Hotel staff was helpful and courteous. Room was nice. Did not have a view.” Nov 17, 2007 by
Doug from Leesburg, VA
“The hotel is an older, rustic style hotel overlooking the hotel golf course and good views of the mountains. The area around the hotel has since been commercialized, creating an oasis among a business area (both good and bad); hotel rooms often overlook the business areas.” Nov 8, 2007 by
Mari from Galena Park, TX
“The hotel was very clean, excellent bed (very comfortable slept like a baby). Great location within 15 minutes or less to all the Denver, etc. Attractions. The hotel offered everything from a spa, restaurants, bar, etc. But yet family oriented.” Sep 1, 2007 by
Kathy from Burlington, CO
“I would love to stay at Inverness next time my family and I are in the Denver area. Our stay was nothing but enjoyable.” Aug 25, 2007 by
Aaron from Buena Vista, CO
“No shops nearby, but because of this the hotel is very quiet and peaceful. The large atrium is inviting and there is plenty of area to walk around whether it is the golf course area or paths around the hotel. The rooms are nice and the beds super comfortable. Free internet at a hotel of this star level is very welcome. The indoor pool is open 24 hours which is great! Free parking is also a plus.” Aug 24, 2007 by
Robert from Canon City, CO
“Charming, centrally located, clean, pleasant, warm, etc.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Trahnee from Black Hawk, SD
“It's the only place we want to stay in Denver from now on. My young children loved the pools and the many onsite restaurants where wonderful! As for the gym, I wish I could use it everyday! The location could not be better. We've stayed in many 5 star hotels and this is very close or, in some cases, comparable to those. It would be great for couples with or without children and for business travelers.” Aug 21, 2007 by
Barbara from Simpsonville, SC
“Exquisite room, nice interior, friendly staff; a high class hotel.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Cyndee from Denver, CO
“We really enjoyed staying at the Inverness. The view was great. They gave us the rooms we requested and the staff was all very pleasant.” Jul 24, 2007 by
Staci from Shawnee, KS
“I was pleased with the purchase.” Jun 2, 2007 by
Cheri from Colorado Springs, CO
“The experience was not worth of a four star rating.” May 17, 2007 by
Kevin from Palm Beach Gardens, FL
“Extremely small rooms, not large enough for two people, and luggage. Seating in room very uncomfortable! Bed very comfortable. Beautiful surroundings, very clean, exceptional indoor pool and spa. Additional charges for parking ($10), internet, and bed upgrade to king ($30). Other similar hotels nearby do not have these charges!” May 16, 2007 by
Maryann from Yorba Linda, CA
“Very nice hotel but we were disappointed in the size of the room and bathroom. We had just come from a Radisson room which was 2 to 3 times the size. When I think of luxury I don't think of a bathroom the size of a small closet (I am not a large person by any means but had to scoot around the toilet to get the bathroom door closed). Yes, the natural stone shower was fancy but they failed to install any type of shampoo box or rack so we had to keep our soap, shampoo and washcloth on the floor of the shower - there was also a noticeable amount of mold on the shower floor - something we do not consider luxury at all. In the morning we were surprised to receive a bill under our door for $9.95 - their daily facility.” May 16, 2007 by
Cherri from Dolores, CO
“Overall, a pleasant stay once we checked in. However, I was charged an additional $40.00 for a room with two beds and a tub/shower. There was also an additional charge of $9.99 for "services" that included local phone calls and internet access, neither of which I needed. I planned this as a surprise for my sister, whom I was visiting to attend the cure breast cancer day of caring, so I did not want to take issue with the clerk at check in, who was rather rude.” May 4, 2007 by
John from Colorado Springs, CO
“Great views of the golf course. Extremely nice staff. Rooms are pretty small for the price. Overall, not bad.” Mar 23, 2007 by
Romeo W. from Hays, KS
“The hotel is very accessible, not so very far from the city proper. Very near to a good shopping mall. Facilities are very good -swimming pool and of course the golf course.” Mar 19, 2007 by
Yongmin from Westmont, IL
“I had horrible time at this hotel because of blackout. I was in total darkness and was said that I could not get refund to change the place to stay because I purchase through internet. They do not have any responsibilities but were greedy. They charged additional $10 for facility services fee in the entrance in the middle of black out. ” Feb 21, 2007 by
Chrisitna from Denver, CO
“Guest services responsive. Quiet and peaceful for a getaway. The spa was excellent. Close to shopping. Beautiful views. The architectural design and furnishings were resort class.” Jan 23, 2007 by
Karen W. from Otis, CO
“While Inverness is a lovely property, the open public areas were very nice; I was quite disappointed in the size of the room. The one queen size bed took up almost the whole room (although there was a chair and table squeezed in). The closet was barely large enough for clothes for the 2 of us for one night. The bathroom was tiny with just a small walk-in shower and tiny vanity. It would be difficult for 2 people to stay there for more than one night and get their clothes, etc in. The desk clerk charged me $9.99 for facilities use which included the pool, the exercise room, valet parking and local calls. I had to pay it even though I was not going to use any of those things.” Jan 17, 2007 by
Arash from Bridgeport, NE
“Luxuries resort style hotel. 99 resort charge per day which is reasonable since you get free valet parking and high speed internet.” Jan 14, 2007 by
Jenna from Mankato, MN
“This hotel was very couple-friendly and has a beautiful atmosphere. There is a relaxing pool/hot tub room and a nice workout facility. ” Jan 12, 2007 by
Cheryl from Steamboat Springs, CO
“Would go back again nice hotel.” Jan 10, 2007 by
Brad from Mccook, NE
“Outstanding-overall my wife and I loved our stay.” Jan 9, 2007 by
John from Casper, WY
“We were in for a short visit with the whole family and had two rooms. The staff was polite and accommodating and the hotel was very nicely appointed. I have not had this happen before. It was /room. ” Jan 3, 2007 by
Jessica from Glenwood Springs, CO
“It was wonderful but would think twice before staying again because online guest were given lesser rooms and were charged $20 to upgrade. Plus all rooms are charged an $8 dollar services fee even if you don't use the services.” Nov 16, 2006 by
Charlene from Carbondale, CO
“Overall this is a very nice hotel. Very comfortable and clean. We were disappointed in the "extra fees" for two beds instead of one. ” Oct 24, 2006 by
Ed from Grand Junction, CO
“Great room! Great facility! Why tack on charges? Ticky tack! Expensive breakfast/poor quality” Sep 26, 2006 by
Brigitt from Colorado Springs, CO
“A friend and I went up for a conference. The hotel was very nice. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Overall, it was a very nice stay.” Sep 13, 2006 by
Joseph from Elgin, IL
“Signed up for this hotel because of the spa and the spa was closed this should have been divulged prior to arrival” Sep 12, 2006 by
Robert from Houston, TX
“Nice lobby but the rooms are very small and poorly designed. I was not able to get a room with 2 beds and had to sleep on a roll away bed. This hotel is not comparable to the other 4 star hotels.” Sep 7, 2006 by
Meredith from Waxhaw, NC
“This hotel was not what I expected in quality. I thought this was a nice 4 star hotel, and the rating may be so, but it did not compare to other 4-star hotels I have stayed in. Or promotional rates as they called it, were not going to get the same treatment as other guests. We were put in the smallest room, and after I specifically requested a king size bed, it was initially not granted, until I further probed to request one. ” Sep 6, 2006 by
Nadine from Fort Collins, CO
“It is a decent hotel, but definitely does not warrant a 4-star rating. There were cleanliness issues, plus a lack of amenities due to renovations--not disclosed at time of booking and only found out by contacting the hotel.” Aug 30, 2006 by
Jimmy from Bedford, TX
“The hotel was a fine value for the price. But it came with an unknown $8 per night resort fee. And more importantly, though I booked a 2 night stay, I was forced to pack and change rooms after 1 night. For my trouble, they promised breakfast, and an upgrade to the concierge floor. I got breakfast, but not the upgrade.” Aug 25, 2006 by
Diana from Pueblo West, CO
“The staff was very professional and friendly. The restaurant staff treated me very friendly and the food was awesome, I think the name was Baca's. The bed was so plush and everything was clean and maintained. I slept like a baby, that's huge coming from me.” Aug 24, 2006 by
Jim from Cody, WY
“This is a great resort and hotel. My only complaint was the undisclosed facility fee of $7.99 per night. It was not the amount but the principle that bothers me.” Aug 22, 2006 by
Jud from Garden City, KS
“Everything was great except that this hotel charges $7.95 to people who purchase their property on a discount website. I think this is unfair, especially when I do not use those items. The items include, valet parking, in-room internet access, the pool and spa area, etc.” Aug 21, 2006 by
Tammy from Grand Junction, CO
“The hotel has one less empty room. The Inverness Hotel has found a way to trick the traveler, however. We were charged $7.99 for access to services such as the fitness center and valet parking, none of which we planned to use. We were charged a $20 upgrade fee to get a room with two beds instead of one - even though by our check-in at 8 pm. The hotel was nowhere near full that night.” Aug 19, 2006 by
Jules from Mount Vernon, IA
“For a good price, the hotel was a good value. There was an additional "service fee" attached by the hotel. Our rooms were very far from central lobby or elevator. ” Hotel Representatives:
