- Staff friendliness and service orientation.
- This hotel emits a historic grandeur but in need of serious renovations. It is looking very worn.
“We enjoy the ambience and the sense of grandeur which lends to this pleasant environment. However, the upkeep of the rooms, in both maintenance and housekeeping, is a disappointment for the cost of the room. Staff courtesies are exceptional.”

- From the bad neighborhood that surrounds it, the hotel is an unexpected surprise.
- Needs remodeling or rooms, towels were like sandpaper. Overall needs facelift.
“We live in Vail Colorado and sometimes travel to stay overnight in Denver. Having stayed there over the past few years, there have been no noticeable improvements in the property. It is an old and tired property, as a result, not at all befitting a 4 star rating. In addition, this hotel is a poor relative to the other spectacular Loew's properties. For example, rooms are tired, stained wallpaper, old mattresses and towels that are like coarse sand paper. Restaurants and staff were excellent, However; I think Loew's should dump this property for a Holiday Inn or something of that caliber.”

- The staff goes the extra step to make one feel welcome and respected.
- The rooms are in need of renovation, particularly the linens, the carpet, the furniture and the bathroom.
“The hotel meets all expectations with the exception of the stale odor in the non-smoking room. That was quickly remedied by a deodorizing machine. I love how quiet this hotel is and how incredibly helpful and respectful the entire staff is with the exception of the accounting and rate management staff.”

- Room cleanliness & housekeeping details left something to be desired.
“Loews's is considered a 4 star hotel, and although the lobby and public spaces are nice, I think the hotel needs some updating. The bedside lights were burned out in the room, the drain in the sink didn't work, and the room service food arrived cold on three separate mornings. To me, this shows poor management. No one is attending to the details. Also, the person in the room next to me blasted his TV all night on one night, and the management did nothing about it.”

- The bathroom did not meet my expectation both in cleanliness and amenities of a "4 star" hotel. The water pressure in the show was sub-par at best.

- Location/ the beds are awesome and so is the room.
- No wireless in the room should have been free also the shower had no water pressure at all.
“Love it the location/the staff / the rooms/ the beds and linens but wish it had wireless access in the rooms and the shower was not so wimpy. It was hard to wash my hair with so little water coming out of the showerhead!”

- The hotel staff was extremely helpful and very friendly.
- The location was poor - surrounded by strip malls + poor restaurant selection.
“The best thing about this hotel was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful - definitely top-notch. The location wasn't too great - lots of strip malls, chain restaurants and box stores. The hotel itself was OK. The room was average. Another positive thing was the beds - they were really comfortable.”

- The concierge was very helpful in finding information on the broncos game.
- The person that checked us in was very short with us just gave us our keys no other info.

We enjoyed the evening tea and turn down service. The room was beautifully decorated and we had a great view of the Rockies. Be sure to request a western view!”

- I loved the elegant old fashioned decor and the fireplace in the lobby.
- The lobby rug really needed to be cleaned; it detracted from the otherwise beautiful place.
“The room was large in comparison to other 4 stars I have stayed at. The decor was fun and elegant (it reminded me of the Disney tower of terror; 1920's is elegance). The internet is an extra ten bucks a day, but the parking is free. Why is it that with the cheaper hotels you get free internet and the nicer ones you have to pay?”

“More of a business hotel. We ended up on the second floor, which had a view of the 1st floor roof to A/C units. No view of the mountains. Expect a drive to downtown/riverfront and Invesco (we knew that going into the stay) About 1.5 miles from the Cherry Creek mall and shops. Staff was pleasant but not overly helpful.”

- It was for daughters 16th b-day which I told them before check in nothing special done or given.
“I had called the day before we were to check in to request a non-smoking room & 2 full size beds & to also let them know that this was for my daughters 16th birthday. I got the non-smoking room 7 2 beds but for a hotel that prides itself on "teen" friendly service, all she got was a "happy birthday" at the check in desk.”

- Internet service was "down" the whole time.
“This is a slightly out of the way business hotel; very large and with full service. The staff is attentive and friendly and everything is clean and functional. It is reliable if not exciting. During my stay the internet service was down which created problems for me, not least not being able to print a boarding pass which proved to be a problem when I got to the airport.”

- Food quality was poor in some cases, waitress did not deduct bill for returned items. Internet was not wireless!

- The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was exceptional. They provided the best customer service experience we have ever had in a hotel.
- They did not offer a discount on breakfast for hotel guests.

“The hotel was very comfortable with high end service. We arrived and immediately the staff offered our 5 year old some cookies and milk. We all were desperate for a good night sleep and had one. - The staff were wonderful and helpful, good bed and linens. Good bathroom.
- Small and ordinary rooms, charges for everything, even bottled water in room. Not 4-star by any means.
“The staff of this hotel was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The biggest disappointment was opening the door to our room and finding it very small and ordinary, though the beds and linens were good. We were given a room on the fifth floor with an adjoining door to the next room, and could hear every sound from that room. We asked for a new room, and were given one immediately, on the tenth floor. Ironically, it was the exact replica of the old room in every way, even down to the artwork, only without the adjoining door. Not a four-star room at all.”

- The valet & bell staff was absolutely incredible.
- Have to pay extra for internet service.
“Its attention to detail that makes this hotel shine, e.g.: every phone (including ones in halls, outside elevators, etc) has a pad & pen next to it. The service staff is very good and very friendly, quick to respond and excellent service all the way around. I detected no difference in treatment based on my level of dress, which is always a sign of a professional staff (I checked in wearing shorts & a t-shirt, and they gave me the same 5 star service as I received later in a full business suit - that level of professionalism sadly isn't too often found).”

- Non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes.
“This hotel is very nice on the surface, but deep down needs renovating. The lobby was gorgeous and the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Our room smelled strongly of cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room. There were two air purifiers running, but weren't helping. The room looked nice at first glance, but had some small things that detracted from it. Exposed cords, stained carpet, etc. Overall it was a good stay at a good hotel because of the staff, but the rooms need some work.”

- The hotel was very professional and run well.
- For a 4 star, the bed was rather uncomfortable. No west in here!
“I enjoyed my stay at the Loews. Being unfamiliar with this hotel chain, I was pleasantly surprised. Although, with its size and reputation, to have no pool, hot tub, and stiff bed was also a surprise.”

- Concierge service was excellent.
- Found hairs in the bathroom & not as clean as I expected.
“Great service and concierge staff made up for age of hotel and not 100% clean bathroom. Restaurant had good service, food was good but our order had to be redone because they over cooked food the first time. Good thing I had beautiful woman to look at while we waited.”

- Hotel staff was accommodating and polite.
- Price was a little high.
“Nice hotel with good rooms. The common area is really in need of redecorating as the shabby chic look is now just shabby. Elevators farebeat up as is the outside front areas with columns that are now display peeling paint. Very nice staff eager to please guests. Quiet nice rooms. I would not really rate this is amour star hotel but it is a nice place to stay with a very convenient location.”

- Elegant common area.
- Hall smelled like smoke.
