“This hotel placed the loudest family I have ever heard in a room adjacent to mine, and despite calls I made to the front desk, they could not be made to become quiet. The room had an internal suite access to the adjacent room, which made the walls like tissue paper.”

• Professional staff and great overall appearance.
• Parking is $18.

“The hotel surpassed my expectations of a 3-star hotel. The staff was very friendly and professional and the amenities of the room were great. An added bonus was free wireless internet, which typically I don't see much for hotels located in downtown areas. The only downside I saw was the $18 charge for parking, although I did see another lot close by, charging $12. Regardless I got a great deal through Priceline so I didn't sweat the $18 parking fee.”

• The bed and room amenities were outstanding.

• Great location, within walking distance to a myriad of bars, restaurants and shopping.
• Room service tapping on the door at 8:30 am on a Sunday morning.

“This hotel is centrally located to some of Denver's best shopping, bars and restaurants. The staff is very friendly, the concierge was extremely helpful in assisting with transportation to a college game at Mile High Stadium. The downside is the parking is expensive downtown and the hotel does not validate. Expect an extra $18 to $20 for parking.”

• The carpet stains in the elevators were turn-offs, as was the dirty hallway carpeting.

• The hotel was very busy, despite this the staff was very calm and courteous.
• The lobby was a little too small for the size of the hotel.

“The Crowne Plaza was conveniently located for our needs in Downtown Denver. The room was nicely decorated, it looked very fresh and new. The bed was very comfortable, the linens and furnishing lent the room an element of luxury. The bathroom was nice and the shower was lovely. I would recommend the hotel very highly.”

• Very close to Downtown Denver.
• We had minor problems with the AC but they fixed it. The parking costs is a little pricey.

“This hotel has superior beds, bedding etc. very comfortable. It is just a block away from the 16th St. mall (downtown Denver). It has a rooftop pool, a great place to hang and watch the people below on the streets. We did not eat in the restaurant or drink in the bar. But on a previous trip had breakfast there, which was good. We will always come back.”

• The motel was very cleaned, and the staff very helpful. I loved the location of this hotel, and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
• The swimming pool was very cold.

“The location is perfect, and makes for such a fun, relaxing time. The swimming pool was cold however, we complained and an engineer turned up the heat to try to accommodate us. The pool surrounding is such a fun, and nice atmosphere. I was very impressed with this hotel, and highly recommend this hotel. The staff accommodated me in anyway that I needed their assistance. They went out of their way to make my stay nice. This is three star, I think it deserves four.”

• Elevators were way too slow. Make stops on floors with no one waiting.

“Convenient downtown location with on site parking. One block from Hard Rock Cafe and the 16th Street Mall. Rooms were very nice and the beds super-comfortable. Bathrooms were nicely appointed. Elevators are very slow. They have all four going to all floors of the tower, making for long waits and frequent stops. Staff was very pleasant.”

• Very close to the Colorado Convention Center and other major hotels.
• Elevators were very slow. Room service not delivered as requested. Hallways hot.

“Overall, the hotel was a great stay. My only complaints were that the elevators were very slow and seemed to be quite old, the hallways were very warm (especially on the 14th floor), and that I never received room service the one morning I tried to order it.”

• Parking was an additional $18 a day! Too much! Also elevators were shared with cleaning staffs who were constantly using them, which made for long waits.

“The Crowne Plaza in Denver was conveniently located Downtown near the 16th Street Mall. Shopping, restaurants, and public transportation were very close by. (walking distance) The room sufficient for the business traveler, comfortable bed, and nice linens, decent sized room, TV, desk, free internet, etc. The bathroom was no frills. Regular shower/bath combo, (not really big enough to take a relaxing bath in however. The sink was small with a countertop that extended too far out; making one have to lean uncomfortably far forward to shave, brush teeth, wash face, etc. There was a typical small gym with cardio equipment (treadmill/elliptical machine) and dumbbells. Sufficient for a quick workout, but no luxury gym. There was also a nice outdoor pool, on the 6th floor terrace with a very nice view of the city. The one major complaint about the hotel is that the hotel cleaning staff uses the same elevators as hotel guests. This became a big nuisance as throughout the day the elevators would stop at every floor, and you would find yourself pushed back to the corner as the maids wheeled in a maid cart or two inconsiderate of guests personal space or priority to use elevators.”

• The new furnishings in the room added to the experience quite a bit.
• The rooms are way too small. Felt a little boxed in.

“Location. Right off the Denver pavilions one block from 16th street. The parking is quite convenient with in and out privileges using your room key. Simple. Whereas the furniture and bedding is obviously new and comfortable, the rooms are quite small. If you do not mind that, then it is a great place to stay. I prefer a larger room even if I am only there at night. The staff is friendly and helpful even though the elevators seem to take forever. It is not a pretty hotel from outside but inside it has that boutique feel, art-deco style. Turquoise and brown colorings. The closet space is a joke. but only a minor hindrance. The view is not that great either. But again.”

• The free wireless internet was very dependable.
• I had to pay an extra 18.00 a day for parking.

“I was very unhappy with this motel. Not only was it a shock to pay an extra 18.00 a day for parking, the parking garage itself was a prime opportunity for crime to happen due to it being in the downtown area of Denver. I would definitely not recommend this motel.”

• Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable.
• Not all the elevators worked. We had to wait at least 10 minutes for an elevator.

“The rooms were a little small, but they were clean and the beds were very comfortable. I was disappointed that only two elevators worked and they said they could not get any maintenance. On a busy weekend at a large hotel, with lots of guests, that is not very star performance.”

• I liked just about everything about this hotel.
• I did not like that the elevators took so long to get to the floors.

“This hotel was very nice, especially for the price. The room was kind of chilly but I could fix that my self. It would have been nice to open a window, also a small fridge would have been nice.”

• The manager did help to make our stay enjoyable.
• The parking charges and the rude front desk clerk at check in. The concierge was closed both for Friday and Saturday nights.

• There was adhesive tape along the door frame in the bathroom - looked tacky.

“I definitely don't think it was worth compared to the Hyatt down the road, where I stayed the next 2 nights in a much cleaner, more open atmosphere with welcoming hotel staff. But overall it was decent.”

“The courteous staff helped me at every turn, what a pleasant surprise for today's traveler! The room would seem ordinary except for the wonderfully comfortable bed, and the surprise of a package of sleep aids; eye mask, ear plugs, scent, and a CD. Even the poached eggs in the restaurant hit the mark for me!”

• The bed was fabulous, loved the shower head.

“Nice enough for the price I paid. Toilet did not flush correctly. Carpet was older and stained, kinda noisy but tolerable. I would stay there again in a Heartbeat. Parking was $18 per 24 hour period with free in and out. Also within walking distance of the fabulous 16th street mall.”
