• The decor was modern and very nice. Loved the marble bathroom.
• Didn't like the shared door with the next room because they tried to enter our room.

“The best hotel I've been too. Gorgeous room, very comfortable, nice jetted tub, marble throughout bathroom, huge windows with views of downtown Denver, and 2 walk-out doors to a balcony overlooking the city.”

• The location was perfect.
• It was
  a noisy location, and there were no vending machines.

“Perfect place to stay while in Denver. Everything was within walking distance. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. One bonus was that our room had a very large private patio with a table and chairs. The location of our room was not good though. We were right next to the pool, and a large noisy group of children invaded at 7AM. Additionally, the room next to us decided to re-arrange their patio furniture at midnight. However, there were no complaints on our part!”

“The hotel overall was satisfactory but overall lacked any feeling of warmth and certainly nothing that could be considered luxurious. I certainly have stayed in more upscale Westins and therefore was somewhat disappointed in this hotel.”

• Business center & room service were $$.

“This is one of those luxury hotels that make you pay for every extra you need. While I expected to pay for parking, paying to use the interest in the business center for five minutes seemed extreme. Breakfast that we ordered was more expensive than the dinner we had off-site the night before. Overall the rooms were nice, but nothing special. One wall had windows which was nice for letting in light. Decor was nice and everything was clean. Shower was a little odd with dual heads, couldn't get used to that.”

• Pool facility was very kid friendly.
• The employee at the registration desk was neither helpful nor friendly.

“It was just like any other chain hotel. Predictable decor and homogeneous feeling. The entry to the hotel was at street level, and there was an escalator to the registration desk. kind of annoying. They could not accommodate my request for two double beds as opposed to one king, but they brought in a roll-away. I am sure I could have found nicer accommodations.”

• I liked the modern amenities.
• The food did not live up to the menus description, the place seemed a little worn.

“Overall, great location, ammonites, view, and service. The room service menu appeared to have been designed by a health conscious, market savvy team yet the fare was standard and only ok. The bathrooms especially seemed worn and dated but the first impression of the room seemed clean, contemporary and spacious. The beds were very comfortable.”

• Close to all the things we wanted to do and had recreational facilities.
• Confusion over cocktail drinks - were they complimentary?.

“My husband and I enjoyed our weekend getaway. We were able to relax and enjoy the downtown atmosphere of Denver as well as keep busy with a Rockies game and recreational facilities within the hotel. We plan to return with our children.”

• The location of the hotel.
• The pool was small/ rooms not so nice.

“The location was great right in down town Denver. The rooms are a little out dated. The walls where dirty, and so was the bath tub. I would recommend it to younger people looking for a place to just hang out and be in the middle of every thing.”

• I liked the comfortable beds.
• I did not like the lack of free wireless and a flat screen TV.

“This hotel was great especially for the price. I thought for a four-star hotel it could include complimentary internet connection and the TV seemed to be very outdated. Also, when I went to speak with the concierge about taking the bus to the zoo he spoke down to us and asked why we wouldn't take a cab. Took him a very long time to find the bus schedule. All in all the location was excellent, right next to the 16th street mall and the room was very nice.”

• The location was terrific and the room was very comfortable.
• The windows on the 10th floor were filthy, the room was not vacuumed.

“When I arrived in my room, it looked like the carpet had not been vacuumed. It was obvious that the carpet was not vacuumed the second day and the housekeepers left pillowcases lying on the bed. I don't know if they intended to put them on the pillow or if it was an oversight. The housekeeping carts were parked right by the elevators far into the evening. It was just tacky looking.”

“This was St. Pat's weekend. There was a noisy arrest *body slam against my door, shouting at 2:30am. Pretty scary stuff. After the excitement *3:30 am, I was told to contact the desk manager in the am. But, they did comp me a nice breakfast and sent up the lotion. I am used to having shampoo/conditioner/lotion in the bath waiting and had to ask for each item. Not a great feat at midnight, I had to shampoo the green out of my hair before sleep. Not sure is the price is comparable due to the age of the facilities. I think they might be going through an update in the near future, but the room was "tired". But, the front desk staff was wonderful, as were all employees that I had contact with.”

• The rooms are beautiful and the beds are absolutely the most comfortable in any hotel.
• Our room was supposed to be ready at 3 pm., and was not ready until 4:30 pm. Staff did not act like they cared about our inconvenience.

“The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located near the tabor center and easy walking distance to the lodo bars. Our room was supposed to be ready at 3:00 pm. and was not ready until 4:30 pm. We had a group of 15 meeting us at the hotel at 5 and that was frustrating to be late. the staff's attitude in regards to our inconvenience was disappointing. They offered no compensation.”

• Great service and staff. Would stay again for any reason. Loved the location.
• I cant think of one thing. It was all great.

“The Downtown Denver Windom hotel was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had traveling. I would recommend it for any occasion. The hotel staff was incredible. The decor and ambiance was great. A 5 star hotel with a 4 star rating. Beautiful and romantic setting just outside the door. Great restaurants attached with shopping. I couldn't have designed it better myself.”

• The Bed comfort is out of this world.
• Room cleaners did not clean room very well.

“Over all I enjoyed this Hotel and stay and I have stayed here before. This time the room service wasn't as good as past in that, they made the beds while we were out but, nothing was swept/vacuumed, the replacement towels were not all in the bathroom and some were on the floor in the bedroom area, tables were still cluttered.”

• We really liked the large valet area, lobby level, and the ability to get to the ESPN zone from the hotel.
• The maid did not come until after 3:00 on the day we were not checking out and she was there at 8:45 on the day we were checking out.

“We loved the location of the Westin tabor in Downtown Denver. Our young kids loved running around the large hallways in the tabor center and we were able to go to the ESPN Zone without having to bundle the kids in their snow clothes.”

• Charged for everything including water, ice, parking, etc.

“Very nice hotel overall but difficult at times getting too with many one way streets, charged for everything including internet, parking, water, ice. Upscale hotel but add on expenses are excessive and a deterrent to myself and families utilizing it in the future. No ice or soft drinks available on our floor. Only in gift shop, internet was high per day; parking was excessively expensive and had to use two elevators to get from garage to room. Ridiculous inconveniences and expenses for high class hotel.”

• Very nice hotel at a great rate in a good location.
• Everything was good, but nothing was great. I don't expect to get nickel and dimmed at a true 4 star hotel (local calls, internet, bottled water, etc)

“The location is outstanding, the staff was wonderful. I confess I have stayed at a Westin after purchase previously (last year late June/Atl) and was treated like a second class citizen. Not only did they try to put us in a closet size crappy room, but loudly announced that "of course you don't get star wood points!". I was embarrassed to say the least. This Westin-tabor center was the opposite! The rooms were spacious and clean - again, the location was convenient w/16th st. mall transit system up and down the 'mall' - making easy access to convention center, the capital, lo-do, Coors stadium and all the shops and restaurants along 16th st. Very nice. Plus -- this hotel has "the palm" -- rated one of Denver¿s best dining spots - next time I'm going to try it -- my friends love it!”
