• Location, staff friendly, nice facilities, pool and hot tubs kept clean.
• Never enough towels at the pool.

“I was very pleased with this Marriot. The beds were very comfortable, pool; hot tub and work-out room were very nice and clean. The hotel room was furnished with updated furniture and the bathroom was very new. The overall hotel seemed new and all of the amenities were very nice. The hotel staff recommended a good pizza place in Golden called Woody's and it was very good pizza, beer and great for kids.”

• They continue to upgrade and remodel, this is a very good place to stay.
• It is a little tricky to find.

• Had on bad experience not adequately compensated for.

“This is a wonderful location to stay. Handy to multiple attractions. Quiet location, nice pub to get good variety of food. Was bitten on two successive night by something in my bed. Reported to desk. At my request, they cheerfully switched our room. No more bites. Also no offer of free meal, reduced room fees, even a fruit basket. When I mentioned this at desk, front deck supervisor said "Oh, we would be happy to give you a free meal!" To which I replied when I refused, "I should not have had to ask!" I understand that an unclean guest could bring bedbugs(?) into bedding, but hotel should bend over backwards to make amends. However, would go back there without hesitation. Has clearly been recently renovated in excellent shape.”

• The inside pool and spa was not gross. They were clean an not foamy.
• The hash browns from room service were not cooked properly.

• The bed was so comfortable and the staff was great.
• The food and service in the "Bar & Grill" was not very good.

“We went to Marriott Denver West for our one year anniversary. Great location, wonderful staff and we wanted to take the bed home. The room was on the smaller side, but we enjoyed every night in it. The breakfast was fantastic (food and staff!), but the Bar and Grill left something to be desired. Multiple order mess-ups and we had to flag someone down for service. They did comp our meal after all the mistakes. Location was perfect for us because we traveled to Downtown Denver, Boulder and Ft. Collins. Since it was right by the highways, it was perfect for us.”

• No spot to get a quick coffee and breakfast on the go.

“This hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable. The lobby was warm and inviting with a fireplace. Our only complaint was that a Starbucks cafe was under construction so there was no way for us to grab a quick coffee and breakfast item to go. There was a dine-in restaurant but that did not fit our budget and time constraints. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.”

• We had a little hard time finding this hotel because the street was not on our GPS but that is not the hotel's fault.

“The restaurant was only open for breakfast. It was good. On the last day staying there we found out the bar served dinner. We could not get the internet to work.”

• Good location in West Denver right of I-70.
• Can be a long walk to rooms because of the hotel's size.

“Excellent hotel right off I-70 in west Denver. Nice stop over the night before going to the ski areas. Nice indoor pool area. I also enjoyed the artwork around the hotel and the lobby fireplace.”

• Snooty staff that were reluctant to help. They charge 1 dollar for each local call.

• Very friendly. Met our special needs. We needed connecting rooms because I'm a single parent with three kids.
• The only place to eat was in the bar. It was not very appropriate for my kids.

• The business center only had one computer; a few more would be nice.

“First off, the hotel staff was very accommodating. Our flight got in early, and the hotel allowed up to check in at 0900L. On our last day, our flight was to leave late, and the hotel extended our check-out time to 1500L. The room and hotel was VERY clean. The business center only had one computer, so of course there was a wait there. Overall this was a great experience!”

• I stay here often. I love it.
• The clerk was less then friendly bordering on snotty.

“The heat/cooling unit was stuck just blowing hot air. Got up to 80 degrees, I had to sleep with the window open all night. I reported it to the staff. This is a great place to stay. Just a bad experience this time. Im sure they got it fixed.”

• TV didn't work initially. Bed linens slid off the bed during the night.

“Great decor, newly remodeled or brand new hotel, very friendly staff. We stayed for 4 days and loved it. I get grossed out by most hotels in general and this one was a pleasure to stay in. My four year old son forgot his monkey in the bed when we left at 5am for the airport and the staff found it and sent it to us! We would love to stay again! We were there for a wedding.”

• Although a non smoking hotel the room we got smelled of stale cigarettes.

“We were given a room that was extremely smelly of cigarette smoke. The staff immediately moved us to another room, which was pleasant. I would stay here again, as this was our 4th time here.”

• Ice removal of the parking lot is not near adequate and is dangerous, last year also.

• The nerve they have to be letting out rooms during a major remodel.

“The hotel was under construction and the room we were in was noisy from hammers/drills etc. even on Sundays. The noise was so bad that my wife asked if we could move to another room which we did. The new room was VERY far from the lobby and many of the hotel entrances were closed or in dies-use (because of the construction), additionally the heat did not work and it took the staff a long time to figure out that electric space heaters were the only solution that they could provide. Maid service was erratic.”
