Brian from Washington, DC
“Quirky, fun hotel inconveniently located and very expensive for what is provided.” Feb 20, 2006 by
Billy from Boulder, CO
“The bathroom seemed dilapidated thrown together to make it look good. Non smoking room smelled of smoke.” Sep 15, 2005 by
Wanda from New Castle, CO
“Close to CU Campus; nicer than the pictures portray! Very quiet with wonderful amenities i.e. swimming pool, hot tub, smoke free lounge with local entertainers, Bath & Body Works Products.” Aug 23, 2005 by
Steve from Houston, TX
“Hotel was comparable to a Comfort Inn or Days Inn. Not what I considered 3 star. Not worth the price.” Aug 17, 2005 by
Sue from Bloomington, IN
“At first glance, the hotel looked a little "seedy" to us but it was a great experience, we will stay there again. The people were awesome and accommodating. My husband had to conduct business (conference calls) but the room had everything he needed from high speed internet to a big desk and comfy chair. OK, this is not the Ritz, but the nice breakfast and newspapers made us feel very comfortable and right at home. It is a little quirky, be down to earth and clean. ” Jul 30, 2005 by
Scott from Houston, TX
“Friendly staff, unique hotel ... for the price, much better then the vanilla hotels in the price range. Don't expect a lot with the rooms though. My room had a nice remodeled bathroom, the other parts were a bit dated and the walls are thin. There is only so much that can be done to a 1962 style hotel/motel. I would stay there again though.” Jul 30, 2005 by
Pete from Fremont, CA
“It is actually a motel. The room door opens into the parking lot.The TV was broken, (very bad reception), the hair drier was in bad shape, room had no soap,so I went to the front desk to pick it up. ( To be fair, they did give a high quality soap, the front desk staff was very friendly). The pictures make it look much better than it actually is. Although on paper it has all the facilities that may qualify it to be a 3 star hotel (sauna, a small gym (not maitained well), an onsite restaurant etc, it is more liek a budget hotel or a motel. Nothing wrong with that , except I have lot higher expectations from a 3 star hotel. ( As a comparison : a full service marriott is typically a 3 star resturant. )” Jul 27, 2005 by
Margi from Grand Junction, CO
“It was the lowest grade 3 star hotel I've ever stayed at. I was put in a smoking room which is fine I am a smoker. I guess they don't put cleanliness as a priority on their smoking rooms?” Jul 27, 2005 by
Martha from Santa Fe, NM
“This is a renovated motel on the highway. And that's all. Definitely NOT a 3 Star Hotel. The first night the room temperature was 87 degrees inside the room. It was so bad that we had to change rooms in the middle of the night. Hated the place!” Jul 23, 2005 by
Ron from Westlake Village, CA
“It met our expectations and the staff was excellent. They even extended our stay.” Jul 22, 2005 by
Isa from Madison, WI
“This hotel is a former Holiday Inn & changed hands several times before becoming the Outlook. I believe that it had been slated for demolition prior to it's purchase by the current management group. It was rennovated within the last several years & while certain areas were very attractive, the rooms were not entirely successful. The mattresses were clearly cheap and uncomfortable. The AC was incredibly loud. The appointments are inconsistent. Some seem worn and some seemed nice. The rooms had clearly been much worse at one point and the rennovations do not completely disguise it's former shabbiness. It gives the rooms a definite motel feel. Some of the rooms do not have inside entrances and the interior entrance rooms all face directly onto the swimming pool and lounge area. This is very noisy until the pool closes and the nearness of the pool increases the humidity level in the rooms, thus necessitating turning the temperature way down on the (incredibly loud) AC and causing it to run that much more frequently. The staff were very helpful and nice, but there wasn't anything that could be done to salvage our stay.” May 24, 2005 by
Joe from Mesa, AZ
“ The hotel showed sign of age. The room had a musty odor. The hotel was noisy due to the pool situated in the middle, near the lobby. Unfortunately, my room faced the pool.I would not stay here again.” Apr 21, 2005 by
Linda from Brooklyn, NY
“The bed was extremely comfortable, the front desk personnel friendly, calm & helpful. Apr 20, 2005 by
Carl from St. Louis, MO
“Only issue I have is the rating assigned to it. I think because it was somewhat dated, a lower star rating should have applied.” Apr 19, 2005 by
Michelle from Cambridge, MA
“It's like a motel 6 painted like a 6 year old. It's not a bad hotel, but it is definately not a 3 star thing. I think if I was expecting a more of a motel 6 thing.” Apr 18, 2005 by
Mark from Ridgewood, NJ
“Simple, not upscale. Pretty clean. Very courteous, friendly and helpful staff. Offers wireless internet but it did not work in my room.” Apr 5, 2005 by
Bonnie from Hollister, MO
“Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Boulder Outlook. The quality of the amenities and especially the complimentary continental breakfast made this a great value at the price we bid. If you need or want to be in the immediate Boulder area, the location of this property is superior. The staff of the hotel was especially accomodating and made our stay enjoyable.” Apr 4, 2005 by
K from Chicago, IL
“The best deal for the price. Very family oriented which is not what I was looking for, but a great deal none the less. I would strongly reccomend it. The front desk could have been a little bit nicer.” Mar 27, 2005 by
Charlie from Redmond, OR
“Old, strong smell throughout, dirty sheets, a motel 6 with an indoor pool in the middle. ” Mar 23, 2005 by
Philip from Boulder, CO
“Terrible experience. Hotel had failed to process my reservation when the fax came in -- the clerk had to root around for 10-15 minutes to find the fax at 2am. This hotel has an indoor pool in the middle of the property; the whole place reeks of chlorine. The pool is not in a separate area -- any room that opens onto that courtyard is subject to the noises of running, yelling, and splashing around the pool. What a terrible design! My room was next to one of the side entrances; the push-bar door on that exit had no silencing on it at all. Slam. Slam. Slam. What a terrible design! Bed in the room was OK, but carpet was very thin and furnishings were cheap. If I were generous, I'd give this hotel 1.5 stars. 2 stars would be an extreme stretch. ” Mar 20, 2005 by
Dave from Overland Park, KS “Three stars is a real stretch for this hotel. It's an old converted Holiday Inn that's loud with no insulation between rooms. I'll never stay there again. ” Mar 9, 2005 by
Darren from Parker, CO

“Small hotel/motel. I don't understand how it received a two star rating. Worst continental breakfast that we have ever been offered. Motel staff was hard to find. Rooms were very small, hard for even two people to get around, terrible set up.” Dec 19, 2004 by
Andrew T. from Basalt “Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Decent complimentary breakfast. Very nice indoor pool. Perfect for families. Fairly conveniently located but a little hard to fine if your are unfamiliar with the area.” Dec 16, 2004 by
Daniel T. from San Diego “Boulder is a college town. But the college had a party in the room next door until 4 am. Many students were permanent residents at the hotel. We didn't even stay the second night.” Sep 26, 2004 by
Robert W. from Vernon “I stayed at Outlook Hotel two nights. The room on the first night was just average (not yet remodeled and with double beds) The room on the second night was excellent with a King bed and a remodeled room.” Sep 3, 2004 by
Clare W. from Eau Claire, WI “Friendly staff, clean. Delicious free breakfasts. Excellent restaurant attached with happy hour specials.” Hotel Representatives:
