• The location.
• The hotel charges $15 for parking and adds tax to it and charges for Internet.

“I find it annoying that a 3.5 star hotel would charge you for Internet when hotels rating from 2 stars to 5 stars will offer that free to their guests. Then to be charged a parking fee and be taxed on top of that was ridiculous. The reasoning being that is what all big cities do. I'm from Denver and a lot of the hotels I have stayed at downtown will not charge their guest parking fees. Plus Santa Fe is not a big city. Its a stupid way to get money out of your guests.”

• The work/out room was pleasant.
• The room was not clean and the floor boards were off, it most certainly was neither a 3 nor 4 star by any means!

• The staff was very courteous and helpful. The rooms were spacious and extra things were supplied. Very nice.

• Very clean, friendly, close to downtown, historical.
• No wireless service, the pool was not open, slow with maintenance.

“I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton for the most part. It is very clean and the staff is super friendly. However, they seem slow with maintenance. The things that needed to be fixed were still under construction by the time I left after three days. And you have to pay for wireless which seems ridiculous at a high-end hotel.”

• Location in walking neighborhood. Clean, and quiet.
• Bathroom is small.

“The Hilton is a great choice in downtown Santa Fe. The bathroom is small but has been recently remodeled. It was clean, and quiet. Parking is $15 per day, but that is actually a good deal, as parking in downtown is difficult. You don't need a car to get to the Plaza area.”

• Back door to parking lot wouldn't open unless you knew to wave your hand at the electric eye, which the maid finally taught us very dangerous - fire.

• The beds were insanely comfortable!
• The hot tub was closed.

“I liked this hotel, but it wasn't charming. The pool was closed and so was the hot tub. I was annoyed that they charged $18 for parking and $10 for WiFi. I felt a little nickel and dime for no real reason.”

• The rooms were spacious and the bed was heavenly.
• The restaurant was closed, only the bar served food and the menu was limited.

“The Hilton Downtown in Santa Fe was a good choice for the price and very well located. It is a beautiful hotel, the rooms were spacious, the bed was fantastic and it was very clean. Having said that, for a Hilton, it was odd that they only had food service at the bar and it was a very limited menu. Also, the room doesn't offer pay per view movies. A hotel with this star
should offer more menu options and standard services like in-room movies. For the price though, it is an excellent choice.”

• If you get a room with 2 beds they are only double beds, queen sized would be more comfortable.

“The hotel was very nice and in an outstanding location walking distance to everything in the city. I just wish they had 2 queen beds instead of double beds.”

“Santa Fe in the winter is a very sleepy town. This property was 2 blocks from sleepy town. (The bars close at 10pm.) The hotel was quiet, clean, totally accommodating, helpful and provided easy parking.”

• Location and fireplace by poolside, female bartender was very nice.
• Asked for change for $20 from breakfast waiter specificially a $10, $5 and 5 one dollar bills. Was given one $10 and two $5: assuming I would over tip.

“Great location. Room hallways can be cleaned up and brightened; a bit too dark and does not match the remaining SW interior.
Not sure how they can charge for parking if they don't have a ticketing or tracking system - odd!”

“This hotel had a very tired appearance once one stepped beyond the lobby area. This wearied look extended to the outside of the hotel which is very visible on three sides and was nearly barren while all of the other hotels in the Plaza area had lovely planters overflowing with colorful flowers. Especially surprising was the lack of any plantings or flowers in the central pool courtyard and the filthy stairwells. (Take the elevators!) The staff was helpful when approached for information on several occasions but it is surprising that this facility bears the Hilton name.”

• Allowed us to check-in 90 minutes early.
• Hot tub out of order, stained carpets and ceilings, springy mattresses.

“The hot tub was out of service, so we were disappointed in that. The so-called renovated room was a joke; although perhaps removing the bedspreads and placing a third sheet with holes in it over the blanket is a renovation to the owners. Trash left in hallways all night, and the view from our room of the banquet server standing next to the dumpster with the flies buzzing around the food to be served in heated buffet trays surely turned our stomach to the thought of eating in one of the hotel restaurants.”

• The housekeeping service was bad, had to ask for toilet paper and towels.

• I liked how close the hotel was to the plaza!
• I felt that the hotel lacked personality.

“As for location my husband and I liked the hotel but other than that we choose not to eat at the restaurant due to them only having 2 tables seated at prime dinner time. When we asked about events at the desk we were told we could ask the concierge who was never at there desk.”

• It took several calls to the front desk to have a refrigerator placed in our room.

• Ambience and convenience to Historic Center!
• Air conditioning seemed to be faulty.

“We would definitely stay there again. It was in the best location to walk to all of the galleries, shops and the historic square. The lobby was great. Greeting people with a beautiful adobe fireplace, comfortable seating areas, fresh fruit and ice water station and the ambience of New Mexico. No view from the hotel windows but we didn't need one since we were out walking in Santa Fe!”

• It was so pretty! The location was great and the rooms were very nice too.
• There was a charge for wireless internet.

“The hotel was super nice! The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, well equipped (you even got mouthwash and robes), and nicely done. The lobby was decorated quite nicely. Although we didn't have a chance to eat in the restaurants, they looked lovely. We would gladly stay here again. Our only gripe was the charge for wireless internet.”

• The front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room and lobby were beautiful as was the pool and outdoor fireplace area.
• Loved it all.

“The hotel was located a short walk from the plaza/lots of great restaurants and shops. The hotel staff was friendly, very helpful with directions and suggestions for places to eat. The hotel lobby was beautiful and offered lemonade and fruit. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The outdoor heated pool, hot tub and fireplace were clean, well maintained and a perfect spot for winding down for the adults and the children. Thanks!”

• The beds were awesome. Great mattress and linens. Would have liked queens instead of doubles.
• Charged parking. Bit shabby. Not super clean. No soaps. Door didn't close without force. Drapery not hanging correctly.

“We stopped on a long trip home at the end of our vacation and did appreciate the comfortable beds. Though there was a shower cap, there was no soap. The room door did not close and latch without force.”

• Location and facility were great.
• The bed was uncomfortable.

“The Hilton Santa Fe was a perfect location to reach the Santa Fe Plaza and other sites around town easily. The hotel staff was always friendly and the hotel itself was very nice. My son loved the spa and heated pool. The only drawback was the very uncomfortable bed. My husband and I both woke up with backaches. Otherwise, our stay was great.”
