• It was a great hotel at a great price!

“It was a great hotel. The rooms were a little small, but they were clean as was the entire hotel. The staff was excellent. However, the only complaint would be the refrigerator was next to the bed and was a little noisy. But I like it really quiet so it may not bother other people.”

• Pool, workout center with bottled water, location to hwy and shopping center and restaurants.
• No description of TV channels.

“This hotel was nicely furnished, had great ammenities, bottled water and towels in the workout center, and a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool. It was close to Hwy 40 and a big shopping area including Trader Joes. We really enjoyed the view of the Sandea Mountains.”

• My son enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the quietness of the hotel.
• There is only one entrance to the hotel and the parking lot is a distance from the front entrance.

• Has a great pool and the rooms are beautiful.
• They charge for local phone 1 dollar per call and the breakfast is expensive.

“The Marriot downtown is a great hotel! It is close to lots of things to do in the Albuquerque area. The rooms are really nice.”

• The location was great. The staff was wonderful. The room was quiet and clean.
• My only problem was the comfort of the bed. It was not bad, but I have experienced better.

• The staff was excellent and attentive to our needs.
• Construction was underway -- just a little inconvenient.

“The staff could not be more accommodating to our needs. We had a slight problem with our initial room, due to some construction issues (no water to room). They immediately sent us to another room and offered us upgrades, free breakfast, trip to concierge lounge. Top notch staff and very clean rooms.”

• Convenient to shopping. Very clean; renovations in process.
• Renovations caused some inconvenience for obtaining ice / vending items.

“We would highly recommend this hotel. We found it to be very clean and comfortable. The rooms are nicely decorated (a little on the small side); bathroom was large. Availability of coffee and tea in the morning was more than adequate (special touches like flavorings and cinnamon sticks). Friendly staff.”

“There was blood on the wall in the bathroom There were strange black hairs all over the sheets. I looked un-kept and cheap. I could have stayed elsewhere for less money and had a better experience.”

• Excellent location.

“This hotel is nice, but it just did not feel up to par. The room service menu in my room was out-dated. There was no mini-bar. The Business Center is quite small. It has three computers, but one of them did not work. On the other hand, the staff was very courteous and hard working. The hotel was very clean and you can't beat the location. I would stay there again.”

• The indoor/outdoor pool was very nice! The view was great on the 15th floor.
• We wanted a room with double beds, but instead received a roll away and a king size, which made the room seem small.

“The hotel was first class, even for a very busy time due to the balloon fiesta, division one football game. It was a very good experience.”

• Pretty room, nice view, good location.
• Bathroom not clean (hair on floor), housekeeping called. Very courteous, but did not come and clean as promised.

“The hotel was very nice, room was pretty but a little smaller. The staff was courteous. Would have been nice to offer a continental breakfast. We were just disappointed in the cleanliness of the bathroom. Bed was VERY comfortable.”

• Close to everything.

“ The drive up area is a mess and has no flow. There is no front person directing to get things moving we had to wait 10 min to have some one move their car so we could go around. No bell hop. The Lobby is like a Bazaar all it needs is a clown. There's a bar that is right next to the lobby that is like going back in time it is very poor to see this as well as the flow is terrible. Staff is good. The doors to the rooms slam all night long and the elevators are long waits. There is a constant noise I - 40 constantly. directly outside all of the time. The place is located in a good area the staff is good the building lacks the polish it needs to move up in the food chain.”

• Carpet in room had bulge-tripping hazard. No continental breakfast.

“This is the hotel to say at in Albuquerque if you need anything on the South end of town. There is easy access from this hotel to anywhere you may need to go. Close to shopping, great restaurants includeing their own, and service - like the staff actually cares. If I'm going to Albuquerque - this is where we stay.”

• During my stay there was an emergency drill, that was a frightening experience.

“This hotel is a must stay - anything that they might miss by not being the newest on the block is more that found in their seasoned and wonderful staff. The staff is the butter cream frosting on this wonderful cake. We have been there before and we will be back.”

• FILTHY room.

“Aside from the great service and good room service food, the stay was probably not the nicest 3 Star" we've stayed in. By the end of the evening after running around the room, our daughters feet were black with dirt from the carpet. The room was in much need of repair - rusted door frame, old carpet, battered furniture. I would probably rate the room itself a 2 star as I have stayed in many better 2 stars."”

• My room had an excellent view and free high speed internet .
• All was fine.

“Friendly, helpful staff, clean attractive rooms, across the street from several restaurants and a shopping mall and right off I-40. Ideal. I also recommend Buca's- a wonderful family restaurant across the back parking lot from the Marriott.”

• The swimming pool
• The room service food was not that good.

“I have always liked this hotel. It sits right next to I-40, but the hotel is pretty quite. And the pool is the best in Albuq. They have always remodeled and kept the hotel up with the times. It has plenty of resturants around it, even a movie theater is not far away and two malls. The staff is always friendly and helpful.”

• Noisy --could easily hear people in halls and other rooms at night--doors automatically slam shut

“Was a nice place overall and good access to freeway, but a bit far from downtown and other areas. Had great access to other restaurants....the Marriott's restaurant was okay but pricedy for food quality. Their high speed internet computer room was very nice by hardly high speed...someone needs to check the computer and determine cause more often of its slowness. The desk clerk didn't seem to really care that it was so slow.”
