• Cleanliness of room and friendly staff.
• Weather was cold and so were the rooms, no heat.

“Albuquerque Grand is an old hotel and has served the ABQ Airport under many names. The rooms were cold, they did not turn heat on until it reached 55F. The lobby and restaurant were the same. Service in restaurant and hotel was good, food was just moderate. I stayed there because of its convenient location and shuttle to the airport.”

• The public spaces were warm and inviting. The staff was very friendly and helpful,
• The room furnishings were tackly, The curtains in our room were ripped down the middle.

“This hotel is in the process of renovation. I think there is a lot of promise for it. Although our room wasn't in great shape, I think things will get better and I would be willing to stay there again.”

• The staff was very helpful and friendly.

“The hotel was a pleasant surprise, with staff obviously determined to meet the needs of all visitors. The room appearance was clean and comfortable, however, hotel needs some updating. Staff did make arrangements for us to drop off rental car the day before leaving because of an early flight.”

• Leaving.
• Outdated, poor service, dirty.

“Not Grand. It was outdated, poorly kept, dirty and in terrible need of remodling and a staff overhaul. Locked out of our room (key problems) no microwave, no fridge and no creamer or sugar for coffee. Old saggy beds and yucky carpet. Towells were stained and freying. Could not control temperature in room. Not a three star hotel by far. We were very un-impressed by the entire stay.”

• Proximity to the airport.
• Very old and tired rooms - soiled rugs, etc.

“The exterior looked very promising and the proximity to the airport was great. There was a hair on the pillow when I pulled back the covers to the bed. I asked for another room and if you can believe it, there was a hair on the pillow of that bed. We slept on top of the blanket just to be safe. We were not comfortable.”

• Amazing room for the price.
• The bath tub was small. Water pressures were not great.

“Hotel was great for the price. It was clean, staff was friendly. I was able to change my room from the 11th floor to the 3rd. I hate Heights. Loved it!”

• Beautiful rooms and views, nice amenities in room and good gift shop.
• Service at restaurant was poor/slow and no kid friendly menu.

“Great hotel for the price! Beautiful rooms with excellent views of surrounding area, close to airport and interstates. Needs to implement kid friendly menus and cups in hotel restaurant. Their gift shop is well stocked with interesting and unusual items.”

• Lots of computers for internet use.

“The hotel room was spacious and the front desk was very helpful. We didn't eat in the dining room but it looked lovely. Close to the airport, which is what we wanted? Easy to drop off our rental car. Great choice.”

• Clean but fraying at the edges; worn carpets, drapes hanging cockeyed - needs fixing up to be a 3-star!

“This hotel was perfectly fine for a 1 night stay at the airport, but I wouldn't have given it a 3 star rating. The rooms are worn and tired looking - definitely need renovation. On the plus side, it's clean, quiet, and efficiently operated by the friendly, helpful staff.”

• Small balconies off of each room with good views, but wish they allowed you to open sliding door to them.
• No room card reader which allowed access to hotel from side parking lot entry doors.

“Nice lobby and conference rooms, small bar for guests, room was very nice and maid services were friendly but spoke little English, overall, my wife and I enjoyed the stay.”

• One elevator always seems to be broken. Rooms are beginning to show wear and tear.

“This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel. Each time I have been there, an elevator seems to be broken. The carpets are showing wear; the wallpaper is torn. Overall, the rooms are kept clean and I would still stay at this hotel again. The rates are good and traveling as a solo female, I feel safe at the hotel.”

• Linens were not changed in bed, restaurant staff nonprofessional.

“This hotel must not have been ready for the convention it was hosting, The linens had not been changed prior to our checking into our room. As we turned down the bed we found dirty tissues in the bed. The restaurant staff was short-handed, overworked and a waitress had a tantrum after being complained to by a customer, there was broken glass in an elevator and the elevators were extremely slow. I will never stay at this hotel again.”

• Attractive, clean and close to the airport.
• The staff needs to be become more knowledgeable about what the airlines allow on board/rules. It would better if there was a free breakfast.

It would have been more hospitable and convenient if hotel offered more that coffee for breakfast at no cost to guest. Airline food is costly and it would not cost the hotel much to offer something besides coffee before heading to the airport.”

• Very nice for the price, The beds were very comfortable.
• The carpet was somewhat old and in need of replacement.

• It was close to the airport had friendly staff and nice lobby.
• The bathroom looked like it needed to be remodeled and there was a iron stain on the carpet.

• The Staff were Friendly, Helpful, the Room Clean, and well appointed.
• I can not think of anything negative.

“The rooms were tastefully appointed, clean. The bed was comfortable. We were greeted each time we entered the hotel by cheerful, smiling staff. Overall our experience was very comfortable and we will definitely plan on staying there again.”

• Stained carpets, thin doors, bath falling ceiling, noisy.

“I was very disappointed! Noise. You could hear everything in the room next door (unsparing suitcases). We were woken up by a wake up call for the room beside us. When someone would knock on a door next or across from our room, we would answer our door, thinking it was our door. The peep hole was spray painted, holes in the black out curtain, falling ceilings above shower from a leak, wall paper coming down from leak, badly stained carpets. etc.”

• When AC on, smell of cigarette smoke in room. Light bulb dead. Sink did not drain.

• Door was difficult to close. Hallways were hot.

“The lobby and restaurant, bar area are very impressive. I anticipated the quality of the room but was concern when I got off elevator. The hallways were not air conditioned. Once in the room, I became impressed again. I liked the southwestern designed of the windows. The pool was spectacular. Fitness room had the air conditioning issue like the hallway. For the price, this was a great! Thanks.”

• The location, price, cleanliness, felt safe.
• I had a handicap and had to walk quite a ways from where we had to park.

“The hotel was even better than I expected. I felt it was in a safe location. It had restaurants within a close distance. I usually don't use hotel pillows (I worked in a hotel), but I felt ok about using them. The only things I have to say that weren't quite up to par was, as I said, was I have a handicap and from where we had to park, we had to walk and carry all of our stuff quite a ways. Also, the food prices were a bit too much for our budget. It wasn't enough to begin to afford the food prices. Other than that, everything was wonderful.”

• This hotel is very dated.

“The staff of the hotel was excellent. However, the hotel is very old and outdated. There were stains on the carpet, the closet door/mirror was broken and off the hinges. There were no vending machines available to purchase drinks. The door leading to the balcony was broken and would not open. The staff was great but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• The property is generally in poor condition, the room fixtures seemed old and in poor condition, the staff was rude when we complained about our room.

• Great location, beautiful view of Albuquerque.
• Needs renovation.

“Check in was easy, hotel staff was very friendly and professional. This hotel used to be a Wyndham. Hotel has seen better days, will be going through renovation soon. Still a good choice for overnight stay at the airport. Manager told me that after renovation it will become a Sheraton, possibly.”

• I liked the cleanliness and look.
• I didn't like the fact that I requested for adjoining rooms and didn't get them, but got compliant of kids making too much noise.

“I liked the hotel overall, but I just as well stayed at La Quinta. Overall, it wasn't that great looking. And for having five kids. I don't feel that they were too children friendly I said, I had asked for adjoining rooms of the three and they didn't accommodate us which I feel that they could have.”

“Ok for just sleeping. But the room was dirty and in poor shape. The pool was very dirty and ice cold. The staff was not friendly. The restaurant had very poor unfriendly service for breakfast and the food was very basic. I would not give this property a 3 star as it was rated. You can tell why this is no longer a wyndham property.”

• Location, decor, hotel clerk very friendly/professional.
• Thin walls in rooms; lounge area cold atmosphere; poorly set up.

“This hotel is in an excellent location. It's next to the airport and close to major highways and shopping areas. The food in the hotel restaurant was exquisite. The room was spacious and well decorated, and had a great view. We definitely got our money's worth and then some.”

• The location of this hotel was perfect for out needs. Everyone was very friendly.
• The swimming pool was very cold; also there was a dirty diaper on the balcony outside the room.
