- Clean, spacious, convenient to convention center.
- Had to pay an extra $10 per night for parking. This should have already been added in the price in the room.
“Lobby was open air and cleans as were the rooms. Could have used another lounge chair in the room but we made do with the furniture available. We were very pleased with the view from our room but very displeased with the additional parking fee.”

“The hotel staff was hammering in the room next to mine the first day I was there, when I came out there was trash in the floor in front of my door which I tripped over. When I complained to the manager - he was obnoxious and did not care. The next night staff was talking loudly outside of my door late at night and then all of a sudden the room next to mine started playing a violin 2 AM. I left a day early even thou I had already prepaid. It was the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel little loan a 3 star this should not even get a one star.”

- The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is roomy.
- The walls are literally paper thin,
“Pros: The hotel is nice, conveniently located, and the rooms are clean. Comfortable beds, and roomy bathrooms. Cons: This is the first time I have stayed at a hotel where the desk clerk that checked me is was very rude . He was curt, and did not even bother to complete the check in by providing me with a parking lot paper that was necessary for guest of the hotel. I only found that out when I left the lot the first morning. Also, the walls are paper thin, the room heater is very loud. I set the thermostat at 70 and the heater unit would go off about every 10 - 15 minutes. It was so loud that I would have to adjust the volume on the TV. When the heater went off, the TV would be blasting. Also, I literally felt as if I was sharing a room with the person next door. I could clearly hear conversations, phone calls, even coughing and clearing of the throat. It was very uncomfortable. On day two my next door roommate was still answering his cell phone at 3:45 in the morning.”

- Staff was very friendly, and for the most part helpful.
- After confirming by phone that we had a non-smoking room, they did not have one available for us upon arrival. The staff at first was uncooperative.
“After the initial uncooperative ness of the hotel check in clerk, even with witnessing our sleepy and thus crying child, he finally spoke with his manager and arranged for us to have a non-smoking room at a sister hotel for the first evening until they could accommodate us at their hotel. Otherwise the stay was good, though they placed us in a room directly over the lounge, which had a very loud bank on Friday night, which made it difficult to get our infant to sleep.”

- The location was good.
- Construction began outside my window at 7:23am on a Sunday morning.
“I travel a lot, so I guess I was bound to find the most poorly managed hotel sooner or later. They booked me in a room right next to construction that was scheduled to begin by "Engineering" at 7:23am. Sledge hammers, reciprocating saws, 6 workmen. When I spoke to the manager about what was going on, he said he couldn't do anything about it other than move me to another room...when I was going to be checking out 2.5 hours later. I understand the need to renovate. But you don't put a guest next to the renovation without warning. I wasn't the only unhappy guest. Never going back. Absurd.”

- Hotel staff was unhelpful and didnt care about guests.
“Hotel was clean, and appeared overall nice. This meant we would be sleeping on a fold out couch that me and my wife could not fit in comfortably. We are average sized people, but it was just that small. The staff was very unhelpful when we explained we could not fit. No accommodations were made whatsoever they offered a roll away bed at a charge of $10. I would think that they would be a little more helpful to their guests who paid for a bed not a couch!”

- Front desk staff was incredibly unhelpful. Rude attitude.
“Booked room online. Arrived at 11pm. Was told by front desk I had a Smoking room with 2 double beds. Told him I needed a non-smoking room. Was given "only non-smoking room left". Went to room with family (kids asleep). Room had 1 queen bed. Went back down to front desk and said I needed room with 2 beds. Was told there were no more available. Asked for originally offered smoking room back again. Was told THAT room was no longer available and only other room was a Smoking Queen. Also expected me to believe that someone else came in and purchased the originally offered room in the time it took me to get up to the queen room and look at it and come back down. The front desk staff was incredibly unhelpful and annoying. They also charge you $10.00 to park at the hotel. The fine print on a slip of paper in the room says that you will be charged $.75 for the newspaper they leave at your door in the morning unless you call the front desk to refuse it. Come on, how cheap can you be? Stay at the Hyatt, a block away. Much nicer people working there and the rooms are bigger. Same price.”

- It was recently renovated. A very clean hotel with a very relax feeling.

- I liked that the rooms were all equally accessible to the elevators.
- The towels weren't clean, no internet wireless signal, no Ethernet either.
“First impression was that it was very nice, however I had no wireless signal. I called the front desk but this never changed during my stay. It was not my computer I am a tech), I had no trouble at the last three hotels we stayed at in the last few days. 3/4 of my towels were dirty- I thought at first lipstick, didn't check too close but now I think it was blood. The towels were folded in shapes so that the dirt was hidden. It was really gross. I did not alert staff, and made do with hand towels, as I was indisposed ( just out of the shower) to report this at the time.”

- No refrigerator, microwave, or coffeepot in the room. Only a single serving packet. I was not able to use my coffee.

- Very loud: parties, moaning; screaming in hall, pay for parking, and many homeless in area.
“Sound insulation seems very poor. However clean hotel if don't care about getting a good night sleep. At 2:00 in the morning parties, woman moaning next door, people yelling in the hall. Have to pay for parking, many homeless people walking around. Didn't feel safe. Wouldn't stay at this hotel again. No complimentary breaking plus paying for parking only saved us about $10. Not worth it.”

“This hotel was nice and clean, right in the part of town we wanted. They did have a band on Friday night from 9-midnight which was extremely loud and we could here from our room on the second floor, but I'm sure it could be heard at least to the 5th! It was quite a small room with a very cramped bathroom. The elevators took forever in the morning. The first morning we just took the stairs, but we had to wait for 5-10 minutes the next day when we were checking out because of luggage.”

- DoubleTrees are always nice - especially the cookies - very new and clean hotel!
- The only drawback was our neighbor played his TV too loud - then we could hear him snoring through the walls!

- Hotel was very clean and comfortable, with very personable staff.
- Public spaces in the hotel were a little sterile and seemed more suited for business travelers.
“We enjoyed our stay and were happy with the great value provided by the Double Tree. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and would be the perfect accommodations for business travelers. I was traveling with my girlfriend and wouldn't say it is the most romantic hotel, the public spaces seemed too hard to be trendy without being comfortable. Nonetheless, we enjoyed ourselves.”

- I woke up at 5:30 to a bill under my door for parking that made me so upset that I could not sleep, and I did not park there. It was upsetting.
“Very nice! Good staff, but I am unsure who automatically charged me for the parking. I asked if this is something the system automatically does, and they said sometimes when the room is booked online this happens. They gave me no explanation, and it ruined my morning. I had not parked there intentionally to avoid the fee that they have collected at the gate in the past. I had to walk from a further lot and still somehow was charged for the parking. When I called the front desk at 6 AM, they made me come down o the front desk to take it off. I thought this was unnecessary.”

- Rooms are very nice and recently redecorated.
- Rehab is not finished, lobby area torn up, restaurant partially completed, workout facility is closed.

- The room was smart looking and clean.
- Bathroom was so cold, even with 1 heat lamp (1bulb out).
“The public spaces and check-in areas were so plain and cold in atmosphere. Cookie was not cooked enough, a little doughy--but tasty. I liked that they had upgraded coffee and tea in the room, but they need to provide more than 2 half and half. I wished for a finer grade of shampoo/lotion. I like Neutrogena, but this was not the "good" Neutrogena.”
