• Nothing really. A 2.5 star hotel must better than this. This is a bit lower than 2.
• Dirty.

“When I called to confirm they asked me how many were in the room and when I told them we had kids they wanted to charge me extra for everyone passed 2 adults.”

• Classic Western motel trees lawn great people next door to Mesilla.
• Nothing.

“The Mission Inn still has its own wonderful Old West feel and comfort. Although just off I-10 - follow directions carefully - it is very quiet. This is one wonderful place that has not been homogenized. It is not generic but truly represents Las Cruces. I have stayed here many times and sometimes drive an extra 100 miles to do so.”

• The breakfast was great, good hot food, friendly personnel.
• The workmanship (tiling) was crude, dust in unused areas.

“Watched Monday night football at 7 pm on the patio at the restaurant/bar area comfortable and nice to be outside. Other nights they have entertainment which also sounded good. If not eating there you have to drive. rooms have a microwave and fridge parked right in from of our room.”

• Old style motor hotel that highlights New Mexico 40 years ago in style.
• Lack of lighting in parking area. Bugs in rooms.

“Flip a coin. Will you have to change rooms because of plumbing issues or lack of air conditioning? Both have happened to me at this old style motor hotel. Bugs have been present in every room I've been in. Not great company. Keep driving if this is your only choice in Las Cruces.”

• Complimentary breakfast.
• The building is old and the bathroom is in bad shape.

“The room is kept clean but the building is old and pluming is not working right. Water dripping from the facet in the bath tub when it is shut off, water does not drain from the tub properly and toilet does not flush effectively.”

• Nicely-mailtained, attractive decor-- had a nice personality.
• Breakfast ends way too soon; we were turned away at 8:55.

“Charming Spanish motif, very spacious rooms. Older but well-maintained. Free wi-fi with high bandwidth. You must get up early for breakfast, though, because they stop serving at 8:45. The pool is large, but not very deep, and collects leaves. Our room had two queens and seemed enormous for the price.”

• Nothing.
• We only stayed one night because the hotel was not a safe place to stay. I put a chair under the door knob.

“The bed was lumpy. I actually checked for bed bugs before I went to bed. The hotel was not clean. The next day we found another hotel. The move cost us more money; but, I felt safer. The place was also cleaner. The staff was nicer also.”

• Best free breakfast. Ever. Perfect over medium eggs, hash browns, bacon.

“Great place! Big rooms, solid, comfortable furniture, friendly staff and (possibly the first time I've ever said). It got even better in the morning! The free breakfast was just so, spot on over medium eggs served by a cheery, efficient staff. If you've gotta be in Las Cruces, you might as well be here.”

• The room decor was nice, authentic New Mexican.
• The room had not been cleaned from the previous traveler. Took 2 days for it to get completely cleaned.

“I was not usually a complainer. Give me a good bed, a quiet room with water, heat and electric and I was okay. I did not have a good experience here. I was checked into a room that had not been cleaned since the last tenant. Dirty towels, dirty sheets, used soap, etc. I complained to the front desk. The second day was not much better. Still used soap, no new soap, same sheets. They did make the bed and give new towels. The room smelled old. I thought if the room had been cleaned, I would have been okay with it. It still would have smelled old, but that kind of fit with the southwest decor. The room was large and roomy. Upon checkout, I was asked to pay extra for my pet. I mentioned that I didn't think I should have to pay extra since my room was not cleaned well, and they just took my money anyhow. So much for service.”

• This was the nicest Best Western we have stayed at - very nice room - very friendly staff.
• It was perfect.

“I would recommend this hotel to any traveler. We have stayed at a lot of Best Westerns and this one was by far the best hotel.”

• The hotel and room we stayed in and visited were all clean, comfortable and hotel parking was great.
• Nothing.

“It was our first time staying there, but we would certainly stay there again and again, when in Las Cruces, NM. My husband and I have traveled for business before and our stay here was a pleasure.”

• Relatively inexpensive, clean and friendly.
• Nothing important.

“We have stayed at the Mission Inn for more than 40 years for both business and personal travel. We always come back. It is a nice, friendly environment that has always appealed to us. The only disadvantage is that it is a little away from the mall and the shopping in that area. However, it is close to Old Mesilla and the charm of the valley area.”

• Southwestern feel.
• Musty smell.

“Nice southwestern looks and feel, once in the room. Comfortable and roomy. Slightly aged, slight musty smell, but one could say a charming feel. No outlets, few TV channels, but a comfortable place to stay.”

• The location was central but away from major highways.
• This doesn't apply to us since all of our expectations were more than met.

“The beds were very comfortable and restful. The rooms were spacious and the amenities were nice. The hotel staff was very nice, friendly and accommodating. I had requested a roll-away bed, but shortly after arriving the front dust called to tell me that the roll-away could not be located and we offered us another room free of charge or a reduction in our room rate. We chose the latter. We had the accompanying breakfast the next morning ordering from their menu. The service was friendly hot and very fast. Our breakfast was some of the best southwestern/new Mexican food any of us have eaten. This means a lot since all of us are from ArizoNA I would recommend this hotel for anyone from leisure to business traveler.”

• Clean and well laid out floor plan.
• I am not big on western styling but that's just me.

• I loved the king size bed and the linen that was used.
• The hotel lacked access to the Internet in the rooms.
