“The sheets on one of our beds was noticeably dirty. It was as if the staff just made the bed and didn't change the sheets between guest stays.”

• Right off highway, extremely clean, almost new, nice assortment of breakfast, and food was complementary.
• Only thing, had to wait about 5 minutes for desk clerk to turn in keys to room. He was helping another customer.

• Nice shower.
• Place had the odor of carpet glue, carpet tacks everywhere. Second floor carpet was very dirty.

“Hopefully after the new carpet is put down they can work on ceilings. Paint was peeling in my room. And someone needs to work on the breakfast. There was gravy and yet no biscuits. Did you really want me to use the English Muffins instead of biscuits? It is Texas you know. Fixings for tacos but no tortillas.”

• Employees were very helpful and friendly.
• Bathroom doors were double door style and did not close properly. No treadmill in the fitness room.

“The employees were very friendly as well as very helpful. The room was clean, however the noise from just outside the room was quite loud; doors closing, people in the hall talking, in the morning the vacuum was disruptive. The bathroom had double doors that did not close properly. Overall, not a bad place to stay for a night.”

• Flawlessly clean and extremely comfortable!
• Could put and extra pack of caffeinated coffee.

“The grounds are beautiful yet not extravagant. The room was decorated very tastefully! Every employee encountered was beyond helpful, courteous and professionally dressed. A Quinta Las Crusas is truly worth every bit of the cost, and then some.”

• Convenient location, clean rooms.
• First room air was broken - took an hour to get new room.

“Hotel is convenient to highway and restaurants. Rooms are very clean and grounds are landscaped. Pool was clean and very inviting. The breakfast bar had a variety to choose from and all the food was fresh. Definitely a place to stay!”

• My room in the annex building. Was new, clean, big, and comfortable.

“The rooms in the annex part of the hotel are newer. They are big and comfortable. The hotel is right off the interstate and a two minute drive to Mesilla. Within walking distance are gas stations and restaurants; local and chain. The hotel is less then a five minute drive to New Mexico State University. The continental breakfast was plentiful with something for everyone; fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and much more. The front desk staff and housekeeping were attentive and very helpful.”

“We stayed at La Quinta Inn when we found out our mother needed to stay at hospital for a few days for testing and our experience at this hotel was great we were very impressed with the friendly staff all through out the hotel.”

• Easy access to interstate highway and businesses I frequent.
• No HGTV but instead Howard Stern and Adult TV options.

“I will not frequent a Laquinta again because of the television programming offered. Although I do not have children, I prefer accommodations where adult television viewing is not an option. Plus, I was not impressed with the security at this Laquinta - even after bringing the lack of security to the attention of the office and after they assured me that the problem would be resolved - it was not. You can have the most beautiful facilities, a great staff, and impeccable cleanliness but without a secure environment and totally family friendly television options - the hotel has missed the mark, shirked their responsibilities, and must desire to appeal to a baser class of people.”

• It was close to Wall Mart for items I forgot to pack.
• Beds uncomfortable. Unpleasant Staff.

“Room clean, Beds very hard I felt if I were sleeping on a tile floor. Swimming pool closed for winter. When leaving hotel had to wait for an attendant for 10 minutes before checking out of room. Very distressing when you are on a time limit.”

“The desk person Valeria was rude. Then we got our room on the second floor, no elevator, and the room was still dirty from the previous lodgers. Then back to miss sunshine for another room and this room had a broken faucet in the tub. Go somewhere else.”

• The thin walls and gaps on the door where you could see light from hallway.

“It has worked out fine for us since we had to change our plans because of cold weather. A nice location that is close to many places. We were able to move into a microwave & refrigerator in room so we don't have to eat out all the time. I see that they alow pets which would be great for many travelers.”

• The continental breakfast was good. It had a good selection.
• Bathroom was dirty. Sound insulation was poor. Had to wait 15 minutes for staff to appear at front desk to check in.

“For a 2-star hotel, this place was about what one could expect. The room was not that big. We could hear doors opening and shutting down the hallway from our room. The bathtub was not very clean. The beds were about average for comfort. The breakfast was the best part. They had waffles, biscuits, gravy, fruit, etc. The biggest complaint was having to wait about 15 minutes for a hotel staff member to show up at the front desk when we showed up to check in.”

• Friendly Staff.
• Air in non-smoking room was smoky. The lines, fortunately, were not.

“Rooms were clean and hotel was well maintained. Check-in/out was efficient and accurate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was next to smoking rooms, so the halls and room smelled of smoke. Fortunately, the linens were smoke free. Certainly well worth the money for a place to rest on the road between California and Texas.”

• Others in our party did not have hot water. Breakfast area too small.

“Overall, stay was good. It was graduation weekend at NMSU so motel was full. Breakfast area wasn't big enough for the crowd. One area of hotel suffered mechanical problems resulting in lack of hot water, but motel staff was very apologetic and offered steep discount to room rate to compensate for loss of hot water services.”

• The hallways were hot and the fitness equipment was old.

“This hotel was an overall wonderful value. The room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was an added perk. The only problem was that the fitness equipment was old and poorly maintained. Nonetheless, it passed my expectations, especially for what I paid.”

• I liked the free breakfast and the sitting area for the breakfast. There was plenty to choose from.
• We were there in February and I thought the outdoor pool could of been heated a little more.

• Left my keys on a chair in the foyer; maid noticed I was sitting there and brought them to my room.
• Check in was supposed to be at 2; my room was not ready until 3:30.

“The room itself was nice; a little too expensive for a La Quinta, but it was nice. However, I was told my room would be ready at 3 instead of 2 because they sold out the night before. After arriving at 3, the front desk personnel informed me my room was "almost ready" and I could go in at any time. Upon my arrival to the room, the maid had just started cleaning the room and it was another 30 minutes before I was able to get into the room. It's not my problem they sold out; they need a more efficient maid service. However, the maid did notice I left my keys on the bench I was waiting on and knocked on my room door and gave them back. All in all, I grade this hotel a C”

• Clean. I like the table outside near the pool, but not in the pool area.
• I like to eat Resin Bran for breakfast. They only had Fruit Loops and Cheerios.
