• The front desk agent was absolutely great! He has to be one of the best employee I have ever met! Huge kudos to him!
• The water was lukewarm! Totally negative!!

“The hotel was clean. But if it had not been for the employee present at the hotel, I don't think I would have returned to this hotel. I can't remember his name, but he was there Fri evening, Sat afternoon and Sunday morning when we checked out.”

• Room only available with two double beds, suite rooms not separated by door.

“Under construction, but completion is soon. Most rooms have double beds in the bedroom. No door between rooms Easy location from I-10 but must go through town to get to I-25.”

• The room was very quiet, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked parking my car right outside the entrance. Shower head was very good.
• The bed had a very odd smell and needed replacement, so we slept on the fold out couch.

• AC kept circulating on and off. I sleep better with a constant noise so this bothered me!

“Hotel lobby was under construction so had to go to the rear of the hotel to check in. I was a little worried that I would be woken up with the sound of construction but was pleasantly surprised to hear zero! The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy - We both had a great night sleep!!”

• The room was very quiet to outside noise/interstate traffic.
• The main public areas of the hotel were under renovation and inaccessible.

“The only real disappointment was the renovation. A rear entrance to access a hotel room that was being used as the check-in area. The renovation area was very contained and no dust or debris was visible. The hotel was right next to the busy interstate and we could not hear any of the highway noise from our room. We plan on going back to Las Cruces regularly (got a kid at NM State University) and will most likely be staying at this hotel for all our trips.”

• The hotel has an excellent free breakfast, which the staff kept fully stocked.
• It was under construction. Plus, one of the night managers was not the best at customer service.

“This is a family-friendly hotel with plenty of room for a family of four. The pool is very nice, and the free breakfast offers a great variety.”

• Relaxed after long drive in pool and spa, comfortable beds, large flat screen enjoyed, used work out room and had an excellent breakfast.
• No real complaints.

“We found the hotel to be easily accessible from the interstate. The staff was polite and helpful. The atmosphere of the pool and spa was pleasant and they were in excellent condition. The workout room was small but appreciated. The room was not overly large but very adequate with sleeping, sitting and kitchenette areas. We were able to relax and refresh during our brief stay.”

• Close to Interstate 10; heard road noise when room fan was off.

“The Las Cruces Springhill Suites hotel is a newer nice hotel close to I-10. The rooms are small, but very clean and nicely appointed. Ours had a desk, large-screen cable LCD TV and refrigerator. The room materials and furnishings were upscale without being luxury-level. The pool and Jacuzzi were clean and warm (open to 11 PM). The breakfast buffet had good options (waffle station, toaster, cereal, egg patties, sausage, oatmeal, Danishes, fruit, juice, milk, yogurt) but the five table eating area was a bit tight for a busy Sunday and one rude family was running roughshod over the place (not sure what the hotel could have done about that though). The hotel lobby was small, but decorated nicely with a river-rock fireplace. The hotel has a small convenience shop area near the front desk. They also have vending machines on floors 1 and 3 and a small coin laundry on floor 2. We were impressed and would definitely stay here again.”

• Staff and help were all courteous and polite and well informed about area.
• Pillows were too soft.

“Traffic was light and I arrived early than anticipated and was greeted courteously and even offered a choice of floors. Everything from the refrigerator, coffee machine, iron to flat screen TV were in excellent condition and had good directions for their use. Easy egress and ingress from and to I-10 and within short distance were first class and moderate restaurants. No problem at check out and the morning serve yourself buffet was excellent. I especially liked the do it yourself waffles.”

“The only negative about this hotel is the size of the eating area. It is too small for the number of people in the hotel. We tried to have breakfast there on both mornings we were there and it was so crowded that we just picked up a piece of fruit and left. There was an out-of-state baseball team there both mornings and with all of their "stuff" there was little room for anyone else. This area needs to be expanded to serve all of the guests.”

• The beds are too soft.

“We stayed three nights. The first night the bed was very uncomfortable. It was soft and lumpy as if really worn-out. The next day we asked for a different room and moved. The bed in this room was much better. It was still too soft but not lumpy.”

“I have stayed in many Marriott's and this is the first time that I have had a bad experience. The staff was not friendly, in fact the receptionist had no identification, he wore a oversize pullover sweater. The room cabinets had gaps between them and the bathroom door did not even close. The bed was uncomfortable and the door that links the rooms had huge gaps that allowed me to hear the neighbor all night long. I was very unhappy with my stay.”

• Even though check-in was chaotic and there was only one person working, he was very friendly and accommodating.
• Unfortunately, there was only one person working the desk during a time that the hotel was sold out.

“We were pleased with the room, service, and lobby. Breakfast was great, though we were unable to eat on the second day because of the crowded breakfast room without enough seating. I loved the flavored creamers with the coffee-made my day! The front desk help was very patient and friendly. The room was comfortable and the pool was enjoyable.”

• The breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.
• There was nothing I did not like.

“Hotel rooms were very spacious. Each room included a microwave and mini-refrigerator. Sofa was fold-out, so room could have accommodated an extra guest. Breakfast was outstanding and included cheese omelets, sausage, waffles, cold cereal, fresh-made (not instant) oatmeal, a variety of fruit including strawberries, grapes, and oranges (on different days), a variety of pastries and breads, artisan coffee, a variety of teas, hot cocoa, whole, low fat, and skim milk, yogurts. It was almost as nice as a breakfast buffet you'd pay $12+ per person for at a full-service hotel. There were coin-operated washers and dryers available within the hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel has a small work-out facility and out-door pool. I was very, very pleased.”

• Awesome front desk staff, very helpful, considerate and kind.
• Our room was next to the outdoor exit, thus noisy when others were entering/exiting.

“The front desk staff was helpful and courteous. They handled a room change request immediately and efficiently. I had left clothing behind in the first room and by the time I had gotten settled in the new room the clothes were at he front desk waiting for me. Great continental breakfast that was well stocked/maintained. Great experience for the price.”

“This hotel was fantastic. Free hot breakfast with eggs, bacon and sausage (to name a few items), free super-fast internet access (wired and wireless), 42" HDTV (but without HDTV programming, though), bigger than average bathroom. But the walls didn't block sound and we had noisy neighbors at 1 to 6 in the morning and every water pipe in the wall sounded super loud.”

• A problem we had with our room was quickly fixed.
• Crowded breakfast area.

“The room was large, roomy and convenient. We had a problem that quickly remedied and all done with a smile and concern for our inconvenience. Great food in the breakfast room included cheese omelet, bacon, sausage, waffles, toasted bagels and bread, sweet rolls, lots of fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cold cereal, coffee, tea, juice served hot/cold and continuously refilled.”

• Full kitchen in room and separator between entry/living room & bedroom. Top notch free breakfast.
• The complimentary breakfast is so good that seating can become sparse and crowded, but not for long.

“I was so pleased with our 2 night stay that my wife and I seriously considered extending our visit. We were in Las Cruces to visit family for x-mas. Not only was shopping nearby, but the hotel rooms were so spacious that we were able to comfortably wrap presents in the family room while our kids slept in the bedroom. We were very impressed with the kitchen in the room. My wife used the workout room, and had it been warmer, we would have availed ourselves of the pool and Jacuzzi. I loved the wireless internet, and got a lot of work done by camping out in the lobby next to the fireplace before breakfast. Gil, the man behind the desk was quick with a smile and quite helpful. He loaned us scissors for our wrapping needs, and made no fuss when we misplaced a room key.”

• The bed was falling apart and way too soft, like sleeping on a soft potato chip.

• We liked the room itself. It was spacious enough for our family. Can't beat the price for the room and the fact that there was excellent breakfast.
• Suite should have two TVs so one is not in the middle of the whole room.

• The hotel was very close to historic La Mesilla.
• The TV was awkwardly placed in the room.

“The location was not particularly pretty, right on the highway. But, the rooms were nice and the breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. I'd stay here again.”
