“The complimentary breakfast was fresh, varied, and well laid out. Lobby/breakfast area clean, inviting, but a little cramped.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Withheld from Superior, CO
“I requested 2 double beds instead of 1 king, as I was traveling with 2 young children. When I asked the general manager if he could help me find alternative accommodations in the area, he told me to look in the yellow pages, and indicated he had a right to refuse service to anyone. I informed him that this was the worst hotel service I had ever received, which was a true statement. Because there was little to no vacancy in the town at the time of my check in, I had little choice but to stay in the room available. The room smelled, the air conditioning didn't function properly, the Jacuzzi (for which I was charged extra) did not function properly, the sink fixtures and plumbing were loose, and the general manager was overly rude and had very little concept of customer service or how to properly operate a hotel property. Can honestly say that this experience was one of the worst in recent memory.” Jul 15, 2007 by
Bob from Cameron Park, CA
“I am disheartened about this experience.” Jun 14, 2007 by
Amanda from Greeley, CO
“I will not stay at this hotel again. I am a student and needed to have internet service in room which they said they had, but you had to sit down by the front desk. This was also vacation but the air conditioner was load and the maids were very noisy at 5 am on a Sunday Morning.” May 11, 2007 by
Robert from Glenwood Springs, CO
“Given how expensive steamboat springs is the motel was a great buy.” May 10, 2007 by
Mark from Colorado Springs, CO
“Very nice rooms with good space and great amenities for the price. Mine had a fridge/freezer that was bigger than a dorm fridge. Good for families as it had a nook for a rollaway bed or crib that is somewhat isolated so the child can sleep while you watch TV/games/etc. Hot tub and pool had algae/scum around the edges, not well at all. Should clean it better. The pool is nice, but not small child friendly. It is too deep for children under about 8, as is the hot tub. They won't be able to stand on their own. For adults they're fine. In steamboat, location isn't too important since it's so small. But this is not a ski-in ski-out hotel if that is what you need. Great for a summer stay with easy access to the town.” Apr 23, 2007 by
Jerry from Longmont, CO
“Clean, basic accommodations in a beautiful location. Friendly staff, and a nice pool and Jacuzzi.” Mar 20, 2007 by
Theresa from Denver, CO
“When we walked in, we were greeted by a very nice man who seemed to be expecting us. It was a speedy check-in and check-out process. The rooms were clean and well-appointed. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location is good, close to shopping, dining and the resort. I actually recommended this hotel to people we were riding in the gondola with. I was very happy with this hotel.” Mar 15, 2007 by
Dave from Greeley, CO
“An alarm went off at 4 a.m. next door to us. We called down to the front desk, and no one was there. We went in person to the front desk and tried to find somebody. No one was there. Talked to the man the next morning about it, and he said that he's always there not! We had to wait one hour for the alarm to finally turn off. Real nice.” Dec 29, 2006 by
Stefan from Houston, TX
“Overall, good hotel if you want to save money. We have been there twice and are happy with it. It is better than the average 2 star hotel.” Dec 21, 2006 by
Paula from Loveland, CO
“This place was great. The only complaint we had was the dirty scum around the edge of the hot tub. We asked the front the desk to have it cleaned in the morning around 8am. When we went swimming with our kids at 8pm. is still hadn't been cleaned. It would have taken someone 5 minutes!” Oct 21, 2006 by
Pamela from Divide, CO
“Hotel was very clean and pleasant. But watch out! They charged my credit card for the room and it took about a week to get that resolved. Clerk that helped clear this over the phone was very helpful. Overall nice place to stay.” Sep 15, 2006 by
Margaret from Highlands Ranch, CO
“The hotel was well situated on the main road outside of town, shopping and restaurants were close by. There was no elevator which made getting to the second floor with heavy suitcases very difficult at high altitude. Seniors should definitely ask for a first floor room. The rooms (we had two) were large, clean and well equipped. The check-in agent was continually on his cell phone. The breakfast was good although the experience spoil by a very rude female staff member.” Aug 30, 2006 by
Melissa from North Ogden, UT
“Good location, small, quiet, clean, good service, good breakfast! I would recommend it to others.” May 25, 2006 by
Janise from Urbandale, IA
“Newly redecorated hotel, friendly staff, comfortable rooms.” May 3, 2006 by
Julie from Parker, CO
“Maintenance staff starting pretty early in the morning, wasn't able to sleep in but probably couldn't be avoided.” Hotel Representatives:
