“As a woman traveling alone on business I was very disappointed in the total lack of security in this building. When I arrived at the outside door to my corridor (at the back of the hotel) there was a sign for guests to swipe the room card for access to the building, not only was that, there was no device to scan my card but the door was open with no working locks. There was a man working on his car in the parking lot-wheels off, looks like it had been there for a while. The couple in the room across from me went in and out all night long in 20 minutes intervals and as I over heard them it sounded like they were long term renters, aka they lived there. The room was dark & dingy like an old trailer from the 70's and my lamp shade had stain on it. Also It did not look like anyone had cleaned the toilet since the last guest. I didn't feel safe here at all and was very disappointed in the filthiness of the room. I decided not to continue my stay at this facility and left after one day (I had booked it for 5). Oddly enough the lobby looked very nice and was recently remodeled, however the staff I spoke with upon check in was surly. Even at an economy rate, I did not expect the Ritz, but it should at least be clean and safe!” Sep 1, 2009 by

“My sister and I stayed in this hotel on the night of August 9, 2009. We arrived very late, with an exhausted 5 year old and 3 year old. When I checked in, I asked if our room had 2 beds, since we had the kids, and this was met with a sigh, and I was told, "No, it's a queen room." This was changed for us, but we were then sent around to the back of the building. It seemed none of the lights in the parking lot were working, as it was very dark, which is not very comforting for 2 women traveling alone with 2 small children. When we entered our room, we pulled back the bedspread to find fairly fresh-appearing stains on the underside of the bedspread. We were too tired at this point to attempt to change rooms. We also heard noise from outside and the surrounding rooms. We did not use the shower facilities, as our previous discoveries left us rather discouraged about the cleanliness of the rest of the room. I sent this review directly to the hotel's email address provided on the website and have yet to get a response.” Aug 10, 2009 by

“The staff was friendly but the hotel maids could try and clean the rooms better after the first night. We stayed 3 nights.” Jul 26, 2009 by
Erin from Seattle,WA
“The receptionist was pleasant but could not multi-task at all (i.e. triage phone calls and help a customer at the counter) and she was inefficient. The hotel has a casino that smelled adjacent to the lobby and the room was musty. I would only rate this 1star.” Jun 16, 2009 by
Tom from Great Falls,MT
“This is a older hotel undergoing renovations, hope they go the extra mile with the reservations.” May 29, 2009 by
Toni from Miles City,MT
“I was extremely disappointed with this hotel, I have used Priceline and have always had a good experience except this time. This is a wolf in sheep's clothing. The carpet was coming off, the drapes could not open, there was urine on the tp in the bathroom, there was apiece of wood with plaster and dirt over the window to serve as a valance, the hallway wallpaper was torn and tacked on, the light switch was coming off, not the cover the light switch itself. If your interested I took pictures to send in to the Hotel and the better business department. It was horrible. The weekend before we stayed at the Best Western Kelly Inn ( another 2.5 star ) and the difference was night and day. I May 21, 2009 by

“When I checked in I was greeted. I was put into a room that was in a section of the hotel that was being actively remodeled. By actively, I mean the roofers were actually directly above my head with more tools and noise than you can imagine. There were no screens on the windows, so I was visited by a group of wasps, no doubt disturbed by the construction. The room smelled very bad. When I asked for a different room because of the construction, the first response was Oh, they should be done by 7. The second room while much better was situated facing the courtyard, there was a party function going on that evening. Overall, in the hundreds of hotels I have stayed, this was the worse, almost comically worse, stay of my life. The worst part is, this sounds like an exaggeration, and is not. It take a lot for me to complain about anything.” Apr 22, 2009 by
Kari from Manderson,WY “Easy access from the freeway. The room was like a refrigerator and the heater didn't work well at all. The lobby was very nice, we didn't use the pool but it had a cool looking water slide kids would love it.” Feb 26, 2009 by
Nanette from Hays,MT
“The room was OK, the beds were uncomfortable and the shower was cold. I won't be staying there again.” Jan 20, 2009 by
Bethanie from Western Montana
“This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The room was not clean and the heater did not work properly. Restaurant wait was excessive for there being no one there but us. The shower went from hot to cold and back again so you were either scalding or frozen. The lounge the first night was closed by midnight and the next night there was nothing but a stereo set to some rock station. We had friends recommend this hotel partly because we do not like to drink and drive and he told us they had karaoke or bands on the weekends in the lounge and we will be the first to inform that he was mistaken.” Aug 26, 2008 by
Kellie from University Place, WA
“Nice hotel. Good size rooms. Right off freeway and close to restaurants, shopping and water park. rooms fine. Hard to get a response when we called with a complaint. Overall I would recommend this hotel. Oh, and the pool had water slides which you had to pay for daily to be able to go down them.” Nov 21, 2006 by

“I am so glad that u sent this review....this is not a 3 star hotel! I felt very ripped off when I got there because I knew that I couldn¿t get a refund and stay somewhere else. I was traveling with small children and felt very unsafe there. The rooms and bedding were so old! It smelled like smoke everywhere in the hotel. In the morning we had to walk far to the restaurant outside in the freezing cold to get to it and no one was there e to seat us for over 20 min! This hotel is a joke I would recommend taking it off the 3 star lists!! ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 15, 2006 by

“This hotel is not good! The do not keep it up and is very run down. The bed was hard and the tub was black from all of the filth. My room was also not cleaned every day. I left at the same time every day (around 11:30am) and it was cleaned 3 of the 6 nights. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 22, 2006 by

“This hotel was booked as the only 3 star hotel in Billings Montana. It should qualify No higher than a 1 star. We were terribly disappointed.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 21, 2006 by

“I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was dirty (I couldn't tell if the sheets had been changed) and the bathtub was disgusting. The beds were so uncomfortable that nobody in our party could sleep. If we didn't check in at midnight and weren't leaving at 4 am. to catch a flight, I would have let them keep my money and stayed somewhere else. Overall, this place was pretty scary.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 16, 2006 by

“This location is lowering itself to tactics used at 1 and 2 star places to generate more income. The Carrier HVAC unit was very noisy when it would run and keep both of us up all night.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 11, 2006 by
Julie from Blair, NE
“It definitely was not a 3 star hotel. I would give it a 2 at best. It was noisy, the outside doors did not lock, nor did they shut completely. It was in an unsafe area for walking. It was under construction, the rooms were old and worn. We felt that we overpaid for the quality of accommodations we received at this hotel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 7, 2006 by

“Very poor. Staff asked how we had booked and gave us a VERY poor room. Bathroom doorway was about 20 inches wide. Obviously undergoing some kind of renovation but hard to tell what. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 6, 2006 by

“This is no where close to a 3-star hotel. Poor accommodations--no suitcase holder, no Kleenex in dispenser, thin towels, rough toilet paper and Styrofoam cups for coffee. Slow drainage in sink, light bulb out. No amenities such as lotion, shower cap. Cafe was not open at 6 a.m. as posted. Plastic flowers were in their window boxes. Although they were remodeling, the job was painting and carpeting. They said the beds and furniture were new but very cheaply made. Not a real comfortable bed.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 6, 2006 by

“2-Star at best.” Sep 4, 2006 by
Nancy from Janesville, WI
“The location is good, but due to remodel the hotel is a mess. Bathroom was very moldy. air conditioning unit was very old and very dirty. We believe that the crossbeams for our roof rack may have been stolen overnight (we did not notice this for a few days as we were not using the rack.) I would not recommend this hotel.” Aug 19, 2006 by
Bob from Indianapolis, IN
“The hotel is dirty and they are remodeling with paint and supplies laying everywhere in the hotel. The beds are awful. Towels are dirty. ” Aug 14, 2006 by
Jan from Klamath Falls, OR
“Person at the desk didn't have anyone to call about the Internet service even though she had several complaints about the wireless not working in the rooms.” Aug 10, 2006 by
Stephen from Gordon, NE
“When I booked they did not tell us there was a water slide charge or that they were remodeling all the hallways. We also got billed for a movie when we were gone.” Aug 7, 2006 by
Patrick from Dayton, OH
“This was a good quality two star hotel with a convenient location. However, I would not rate this a 3-star hotel.” Aug 7, 2006 by
Gary from Apo, NY
“Good value for travelers passing through the Billings area.” Aug 1, 2006 by
Anne from Denver, CO
“It was under construction and had people doing crystal mesh in the hallways. They were supposed to pick us up at the airport and after many calls and promises they finally arrived drunk. We then had to take a cab. Our room was filthy and smelled of urine. It was not even close to a 3star hotel. It is the scariest hotel I have ever stayed in and I have traveled all over the world with very little money. ” Jul 25, 2006 by
Richard from Clarkston, GA
“My fiancée and I needed a place to stay near the Billings Airport. The hotel was a little run down, and very busy. A lot of families were there and a convention was being held at the hotel. The room was fine. My only complaint was that the water in the shower consistently changed from hot to cold during showers. It was either scalding or freezing. Maybe it was from all the guests flushing their toilets.” Jul 24, 2006 by
Karin from Fargo, ND
“It was quite old. They need more people to staff the front desk. The beds were not the most comfortable but were not too bad either. The bathroom needed a fan. The shower alternated between too hot and too cold part of the time. Overall it was not too bad of an experience but it did not rank a 3 star rating.” Jun 11, 2006 by
Phyllis from Yakima, WA
“This is a very large facility but nice, pool nice and room nice, staff friendly, I didn't like the restaurant, it didn't appeal to me, buffet stuff that seemed to sit out a long time and as a matter of fact, we stayed 3 nights and never ate in the restaurant once, however, there were two real good restaurants near by so we were fine.” Apr 17, 2006 by
Stacey from Rapid City, SD
“At first glance, our room was very attractive. But upon further inspection the room was dirty. The bathroom floor was very dirty. The shower and tub was dirty. The most disturbing of all was that the window, which is ground level, didn't lock and there was no screen either to prevent an intruder from just sliding it open and climbing in. The room was a non-smoking room but smelled like smoke and had an ashtray and matches inside. Local calls were 75 cents per connection which is outrageous! The bed was very old, squeaky, and uncomfortable! I wasn't impressed at all.” Apr 15, 2006 by
Bonnie from Hamilton, MT
“I was very disappointed with this motel. The room was very basic. The room was not clean. The bathroom had only a 1/4 roll of toilet paper in it. When I went to check out, I was informed that we owed extra money for an energy surcharge that we had not been informed of. I would never recommend this motel to anyone. I was not happy!!!!” Mar 28, 2006 by
Becca McClymont
“Dirty, outdated rooms. No communication between staff. No toilet paper and towels, had to get from housekeeping. Dirty carpet and moldy looking showers. poor food in restaurant. highly priced, no value for the money. Pool was very cold and the hot tub was extremely dirty with stuff floating in it (we even found screws in the bottom). The deck area around the pool was very dirty. There were a lot of little things and they all added up to one miserable vacation.” Apr 15, 2005 by
Leo G. from Window Rock
“I told my business companions that the hotel/convention center was my first and last time staying there - it needs much improvement in the areas technology in the rooms (internet access), the carpets are dirty and smell, and the location was rather interesting.” Sep 25, 2004 by
Hannah N. from Miles City “The Billings Hotel and Convention Center was an excellent establishment to stay at. I would gladly stay there again on my next trip thru Billings.” Sep 20, 2004 by
Holly L. from Oshkosh, WI “Lower class hotel, waterslide was cool, but wasn't open. Business center was having internet and printer problems. Hotel staff wasn't very friendly and professional. Might be a good hotel for family, but not business travelers.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 16, 2004 by
“Disappointed in hotel. Old, not up to 3 star standards. Extremely poor gym ( treadmill didn't work correctly), pool area wasn't appealing, did have slide for kids, therefore appropriate only for kids as there really wasn't a swimming area. The hotel seemed very worn. Restaurant service was ok on one day and absolutely awful on another. Waited 45 minutes for breakfast without an explanation from manager, and then it wasn't as ordered. Sheraton downtown Billings would be a better option, or at least a name brand hotel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
