• It was like a hotel in a red light district, shabby, smelled like smoke and bleach, furniture and bedding shredded stained and afraid to touch it

• The price was economical and the rooms were decent with plenty of amenities.
• I had trouble climbing the stairs with my 21months son and luggage's.

“Overall the hotel is perfect for overnight rest, the pool and sauna were easily accessed, but I didn't like being placed on the 2nd floor with no elevator and it was difficult to take all my luggage and my son's luggage upstairs on top of trying to keep my 21 month old son with me at all times, it was just the two of us. I mentioned this at check-in but didn't get a response for better accommodations but the rooms were sold-out.”

• It was extremely clean, the food was good, and the staff was extremely helpful.
• Wish there was an elevator.

• It was spacious and clean.
• No elevator to second floor to accommodate handicap customers. The telephone didn't work.

“I like the outdoor setting and the spacious room. The beds were comfortable. I didn't like the small table of four in the continental breakfast area. The hotel's location has easy access to the freeway and Gas Stations and easy to find.”

• The hot water.
• Dirty.

“Oh wow! Well the beds were hard, the room was dirty and the floor was wet. Upon arrival we were giving the wrong room and entered someone else's room. Thank god no one was there and we were honest. The lady that checked us in was tweaking on something. Overall a bad experience.”

• We liked the location and for the price was just fine to fit our needs. The bedding and towels were clean. The shower was perfect.
• Ran out of OJ for breakfast. The pool didn't open soon enough.

“We liked the hotel. For a last minute, it met our needs. It was actually a very quiet area. Was surprised to see there was a refrigerator in the room. The sheets and towels were clean and the shower was hot.”

• Friendly employees, especially the girl that worked on the night shift!
• The Room was very hot. Air conditioning was not working.

• The room had a fridge and microwave, but most of all we love check out because we were getting out of this dump.
• Beds, breakfast,.

“While the people were just like most hotels, the beds were terrible we would have been better off in a tent. The breakfast was very bad, I would never recommend this hotel to an enemy.”

• The room is on the outskirt of town.

“Nice place to stay and a wonderful staff, but on the far west side of town, not close to most amenities in town and only a couple of nearby restaurants to choose from. Also, only pizza delivers this far out of town.”

“Hotel was absolutely gross. Swimming pool was filthy and yellow. Entire hotel smelled of stale, old food. Not clean. Staff was rude when we checked out early. We had to rent another hotel elsewhere.”

• Free wireless internet worked.
• Did not like anything but for internet access.

“Although located in a convenient location, just off I-40 at the E, End of Gallup, and having a nice outward appearance, this property has dirty rooms with broken furniture, dirty carpets and ripped fabric on chairs and holes in the mattress. The staff was friendly, the experience was not.”

• Didn't enjoy my stay, hated the hotel room.
• Woke up to bed bugs 3:00 in the morning.

“This hotel and room that I stayed in had bed bugs. I woke with a sharp piercing pain in my leg and pull off my sheets and found a bug. There were more on the side and I couldn't go back to sleep. I wasted my money on this dump.”

“This hotel does not smell in the public areas, but the rooms that I saw both reeked with smoke which made the stay very unpleasant.”

“Location of the hotel is great if you have business at exit 16. We where in a non smoking room and it reeked of cigarette smoke. Our mattress on the bed needed to be replaced badly.”

• We only needed stay 7 hrs.
• The hotel is a dump.

“On our trip, this hotel as the worst hotel. The rooms were run down. The linen was bare threaded with holes in the pillow cases, sheets. The towels; the rags at home, made better towels. Do not use this hotel, its a dump. We would gladly pay more to stay at another hotel.”

• It was conveniently off the highway and had the basics.
• The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on.

“It's right off the highway and has the basics one might need. I wouldn't want to stay here for more than 1 night. The area was kind of desolate as far as being near any restaurants. We had to drive another 4 miles down the highway just to get some fast food.”

“Only stay here if you are desperate. It is dirty and shows a lot of deferred maintenance. The only good thing is the location and most of the hotels in Gallup are located along the same strip. No way this hotel deserves more than one star.”

“The pool was cold, and the heater for the hot tub did not work. Our next level neighbors were very loud, and when we complained they offered to move US to a different room, I replied if I have to move my luggage it would be to a different motel. First impressions are a lot to me, so guess what, Travel Lodge struck out. I will never stay in another Travel Lodge, or recommend it to anybody I know.”

“A marginal hotel; definitely 1 star or less (if possible). Pool was closed - ceiling had caved in - piles of rotten wood on the pool deck. Room was filthy - tried a second room, same. Greasy substance on the bathroom floor, lumpy stained beds and pillows, frayed blankets and sheets with holes. A real dump. Not worth it.”

• Very old and uncomfortable furnishings, no elevator to reach 2nd floor, room smelled like animal urine.

“This hotel is very old and outdated. There was rust stains in the bathroom and the lobby and room smelled like animal urine. They allow pets, which could explain the odor. They are supposed to have wireless internet connections in all rooms, but they do not. I was told that my room was too far from the lobby so I couldn't get a signal from the wireless router. This hotel is at very best a 1 star rating.”

“The hotel was close to the interstate and easy to find. It is probably more of a one star rating than a two. It was mostly clean and neat. I wouldn't leave the desk until I got two beds, therefore, he did change the room. They did not have cribs. One desk attendant told me they would get one from another hotel. The next guy told me they didn't have any.”

• It was a place to sleep.
• Very poor customer service!

“The staff would not allow guests to get a glass of juice at 9:01am as breakfast ended at 9am and they knocked on the door to ask you to leave at 11:04am as check out was 11:00am. The assistant manager was one of the extremely rude staff. The unfriendliness of the staff was tangible. They clearly do not want repeat customers.”
