• It was very quiet and peaceful.
• None that I can think of.

• We only needed stay 7 hrs.
• The hotel is a dump.

“On our trip, this hotel as the worst hotel. The rooms were run down. The linen was bare threaded with holes in the pillow cases, sheets. The towels; the rags at home, made better towels. Do not use this hotel, its a dump. We would gladly pay more to stay at another hotel.”

• It was conveniently off the highway and had the basics.
• The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on.

“It's right off the highway and has the basics one might need. I wouldn't want to stay here for more than 1 night. The area was kind of desolate as far as being near any restaurants. We had to drive another 4 miles down the highway just to get some fast food.”

• Location was convenient.
• Dirty rugs, stained curtains, holes in blanket, stained towels, etc.

“Only stay here if you are desperate. It is dirty and shows a lot of deferred maintenance. The only good thing is the location and most of the hotels in Gallup are located along the same strip. No way this hotel deserves more than one star.”

• I found 2 long hairs on the pillow case.

“The pool was cold, and the heater for the hot tub did not work. Our next level neighbors were very loud, and when we complained they offered to move US to a different room, I replied if I have to move my luggage it would be to a different motel. First impressions are a lot to me, so guess what, Travel Lodge struck out. I will never stay in another Travel Lodge, or recommend it to anybody I know.”

“A marginal hotel; definitely 1 star or less (if possible). Pool was closed - ceiling had caved in - piles of rotten wood on the pool deck. Room was filthy - tried a second room, same. Greasy substance on the bathroom floor, lumpy stained beds and pillows, frayed blankets and sheets with holes. A real dump. Not worth it.”

• Very old and uncomfortable furnishings, no elevator to reach 2nd floor, room smelled like animal urine.

“This hotel is very old and outdated. There was rust stains in the bathroom and the lobby and room smelled like animal urine. They allow pets, which could explain the odor. They are supposed to have wireless internet connections in all rooms, but they do not. I was told that my room was too far from the lobby so I couldn't get a signal from the wireless router. This hotel is at very best a 1 star rating.”

“Gallup is a small town; therefore, it is difficult to see it offering a luxurious location to stay. It is a tourist town and I think it be nice if they fixed up the place. Window in pool area was busted.”

“The hotel was close to the interstate and easy to find. It is probably more of a one star rating than a two. It was mostly clean and neat. I wouldn't leave the desk until I got two beds, therefore, he did change the room. They did not have cribs. One desk attendant told me they would get one from another hotel. The next guy told me they didn't have any.”

• It was a place to sleep.
• Very poor customer service!

“The staff would not allow guests to get a glass of juice at 9:01am as breakfast ended at 9am and they knocked on the door to ask you to leave at 11:04am as check out was 11:00am. The assistant manager was one of the extremely rude staff. The unfriendliness of the staff was tangible. They clearly do not want repeat customers.”

“Terrible directions from staff made my arrival 1 hour late. Food at breakfast was disgusting. Milk in gallon jug for cereal was in a melted ice bath. Water was all over jug and table. They had "fruit loops" cereal and dried up mini muffins. No fresh fruit. Pool hours 10am  11pm. Since check out is at 11 am, a late arrival like me can't use it. You have to walk through the breakfast area to get to the pool. They threw me out of the hot tub because they said 9 am was too early to use it. Zero customer service and class.”

“Beds were worn out and sagging, the room smelled of mold and mildew probably due to a leaky AC unit that only worked on one speed, TV did not work properly, floor sagging, room marginally clean, floor dirty. Telephone did not work. We had booked two nights and left after one due to conditions even though we lost the money.”

“The receptionist said the motel changed management recently and that "things have improved". There was evidence that the lobby had been updated and that the pool area had been recently painted. It seemed like a decent place to stay.”

“This was pretty much a standard Travel Lodge. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The staff was fabulous. The waffles on the Continental breakfast were great. Internet access was wonderful. Only complaint was that the beds were hard.”

• In every aspect the hotel room was very clean. Good room amenities.
• The beds were awful and all linens threadbare.

“The hotel is old. The corridors were not air conditioned. The corridors and hotel have an old/musty smell. The rooms were very, very clean. But, the beds were terrible. Very old mattresses and very uncomfortable. All towels and linens were old and threadbare. Room was musty smelling. It was obvious it was a very old hotel. But, the amenities in the room were great. Similar to a 3-4 star hotel. HBO, refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, iron, radio, stationary, adequate furniture. I would not choose to stay here again. Old does not bother me because the room was very clean. But the bed and pillows were awful. Breakfast area clean and continental breakfast adequate. I would give it 1 star due to the overall feeling you have at the facility due to it's age.”

“This hotel was horrible and I'm not being dramatic. The air conditioning was not working in the hottest month of summer and the staff was rude. The rooms were dirty! There was trash in the room from previous guests. I would have left and found another room, but we had already been on the road for 9 hours. I would never stay here again.”

• Somewhat close to a crossroads on our trip.
• Wrong beds (room), terrible smoke smell, pool not working, no waffles for breakfast.

“I confirmed our reservation for a room with 2 queen beds. When we arrived, we were given a king. No other rooms available (difficult for a husband and wife with 3 kids). The non-smoking room reeked of smoke. Pool and hot tub out of order. They ran out of waffle mix before we got to eat.”

• I had to recode my room key every day after the room was cleaned.

“After reading some of the reviews for this hotel, I was hesitant to check in. However, after arriving and looking around I was very pleased with everything. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a clean room, a pleasant atmosphere, and a friendly staff.”
