“The rooms were nicer than expected, clean, great bed and nice layout. Convenient parking, easy check in and attentive staff. Concierge was especially helpful with directions to nearby events. Enjoyed our stay, would definitely stay there again.” Mar 10, 2009 by
Judy. from Vancouver,WA
“The staff was very efficient and friendly. The room was for two people but was lacking enough towels, soap or coffee on the first night. The TV controller did not work and we had to call for assistance. The business center could not be used because the printer was not working. The staff tried to fix the printer but he had 3 other jobs and was very busy.” Feb 4, 2009 by
from Las Cruces,NM
“Very comfortable hotel; obviously set up to appeal to the convention trade. Room was spacious, very clean, very comfy bed. Quiet surroundings, flat screen TV. Couldn't have asked for more!” Sep 4, 2008 by
Pat from Mesa, AZ
“Beautiful hotel. Newly renovated. Clean fabulous rooms. Close to shopping movie theatre. Upon checking in the girl went out of her way to be lovely and get us the right room.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Bonnie
“The stay was pleasant and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. The facility is very clean and beautiful.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Erlinda from San Antonio, TX
“Very nice room. The shower in the morning was only hot. There was no cold water. We requested be repaired while we were out. That evening it still was not working properly. We called the desk to report the problem, and they sent the engineer who had to replace the parts twice. She got it working. The last day there was very little hot water, and the shower was more cold than warm. We were checking out that morning so we didn't have it repaired.” Aug 28, 2008 by
Charles from Mesa, AZ
“The grounds were clean except a storm had blown in the late afternoon and the pool was full of leaves and other debris that should have been cleared out of there by staff. The lobby was attractive. The location was excellent for us. I would definitely recommend this hotel.” Aug 22, 2008 by
Joshua from Silver City, NM
“Great comfort, nice pool/spa. The bar and restaurant are a great atmosphere with stellar views of the mountains.” Aug 16, 2008 by
Barbara from Rio Rico, AZ
“Some things nice but others disappointing. Not as many perks as there should be for price and star level. Not as clean as could be. Upgraded decor was not convincing.” Aug 15, 2008 by
Martha from Champaign, IL
“Our stay was OK.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Denay from Phoenix, AZ
“Upon arrival the Hotel clerks were very hospitable and helpful. The rooms were being remodeled and I think I got one of them. The room was very nice and comfortable and as well as beautiful. The pool area was very relaxing and nice. I will definitely stay here again.” Aug 10, 2008 by
Clara A. from Safford, AZ
“This motel was very convenient to the hospital that my grandchild was in. I did ask for any types of discounts for parents and grandparents that were needing having to rent rooms while a family member was in the hospital and come to find out that a lot of motels do not offer any type of discounts for situations like this.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Harvey from Phoenix, AZ
“Hotel was fine for the purpose that it served.” Aug 2, 2008 by
Christoph from New York, NY
“Nice staff, interesting lobby and spacious. Rooms were nice and clean. A car is highly recommended since the hotel is quite far to the east of the downtown area. However, a bus stops outside. all 20 min at peak times.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Allan from Las Cruces, NM
“This is actually a pretty nice hotel. Great pool area and (this is really rare) a hot tub that is not tepid but hot, not scalding so though. Free internet. Staff was ok but not professional enough. Wide screen TVs in rooms, at least on the executive floors. I'd stay here again.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Gilberto from Tucson, AZ
“Very helpful staff, good location (very relaxing), near of commercial centers.” Jul 28, 2008 by
Alice from Safford, AZ
“Outstanding room and extras that go with it makes one feel really comfortable and special. I wish I could be guaranteed the Hilton again. The restaurant for breakfast was great but just way too expensive. The pool was beautiful and just the right temperature. I would stay here again.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Roberto from Hermosillo, SC
“The hotel is clean with very good beds, quiet a friendly staff.” May 14, 2008 by
James from Gilroy, CA
“Stayed at the hotel for two nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was pretty basic for a Hilton. Nice but not awestruck about it. I disliked the water conserving showerhead, which, according to the hotel is standard fare in Tucson. Couple other things: TV could be updated to a larger flatscreen perhaps, and the room could have been great with a mini-fridge. The bed was comfortable, with an abundance of pillows, and the Hotel was very quiet, aside from the in-room A/C which was a tad noisy.” May 11, 2008 by
Ron from Leesburg, VA
“This is a great place to stay great rates for value, convenient location.” Apr 28, 2008 by
Everett from Tucson, AZ
“Clean close to shops and it was nice and roomy.” Apr 24, 2008 by
Allen from Lafayette, CA
“They gave us an extra time to depart because of the elevator repair which really did not affect us except once when we were forced to use the service elevator.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Todd from Grand Canyon, AZ
“The hotel is a good choice for business travelers with business in eastern Tucson. It is located 8 or so miles on city streets from downtown, the University of Arizona, and I-10, so there are other more convenient hotels for people needing to be close to those things. The decor is pretty standard for a somewhat upscale chain hotel; nothing exceptional about it but it was adequate. A fair number of restaurants are nearby, although we had our best meals at establishments near downtown. The gym was very nice with video monitors on most aerobic machines, and the pool and patio area were nice. The hotel is surrounded by vacant lots, a wash, and, across the street, businesses like Home Depot and a succession of strip malls. Other than the view of the mountains, the hotel doesn't offer much in terms of pleasant surroundings.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Leslie from Glendale, AZ
“The a/c in the room sounded like a freight train every time it would come on. We couldn't get it fixed until the next morning. However, they fixed it right away. They always meet our expectations,.” Apr 8, 2008 by
Anon from Phoenix, AZ
“I had a great stay at this hotel. The room for comfortable and quiet. The room and lobby were very attractive.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Mimi from Santa Rosa, CA
“Wonderful soft bed, very quiet pool area.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Ami from Sierra Vista, AZ
“After getting over the original pungent smell that overwhelmed you when you walked in the room, my daughter and I noticed that it was getting increasingly hot in the room, even though we had turned on the A/C. Sure enough, the A/C was blowing hot air. We called the front desk and they sent up a staff member. He stood in the room by the unit for a good ten minutes, only to say it felt fine to him. I got up and pointed out that the air coming out was hot, and he said, once again, that everything seemed fine to him. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.” Mar 30, 2008 by
Marylou from Camarillo, CA
“The cleaning staff needs work. On our arrival we were short of towels, had no box of Kleenex and the desk lamp did not have a bulb. Also, the door to the room did not close on its own when shut. We had to slam it shut from the outside as you could not turn the handle. We mentioned this problem to the front desk on our arrival and it took them 3 days to fix the problem. On 2 other occasions we did not have the correct number of towels left for us. They did not replenish the lotion or shampoo and we had used them completely. The rooms smelled a little musty. The beds were very comfortable. There was a dead bug and dirt under the bathroom vanity when we arrived. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and when we left the same bug and dirt was still under the vanity. The cleaning staff does not do the greatest job.” Mar 26, 2008 by
B from Golden Valley, MN
“Good location, quiet, nice staff, good dining, 3 star quality.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Bruce from Monument, CO
“Great! Wonderful! Would recommend.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Sandra from Sells, AZ
“Attractive room, very quiet for sleeping, the hot tub was too hot, my car was one of several that was broken into, the staff was very supportive, the house detective assisted in finding a business for my window replacement this enabled my daughter and I to continue our get-a-way.” Mar 24, 2008 by
April from Morenci, AZ
“We had never stayed in a Hilton before, so we were expecting the room to be a little better than the 2-star hotels we normally stay in but we were disappointed to discover that it was not much better. The shower curtain was cloth and the water from our showers leaked through the curtain and all over the bathroom floor, even under the door. This had obviously happened several times because the carpet was stained and frayed around the threshold. The bathroom was small (only accommodating one person at a time, unless one was in the shower). The heater was a bit noisy during the night. There is no parking next to where the rooms are located. We had to park in front and walk all the way through the lobby, take the elevator and walk across the hotel to our room.” Mar 24, 2008 by
Debbie from Prescott, AZ
“The comfort of the beds would make me go to this hotel again, the room was much smaller than most rooms we have stayed at. My husband felt the exercise equipment was good but as I said we could not enjoy the spa area because the music was so loud and the you could barely feel the jets. The breakfast we had was marginal at best.” Mar 21, 2008 by
Gail from Chicago, IL
“An excellent hotel for a business traveler with a car and meetings to go to in the Tucson area. Not so good for a vacation since the area is all strip malls.” Mar 20, 2008 by
Jessica from Philadelphia, PA
“The most important thing -the bedding - was the best part about this hotel. Best hotel bedding I've ever seen, save for luxury hotels in Manhattan. The TV barely got 5 channels, the view was kind of beat, and the common areas were boring. For more, though, I'd like a breakfast, or some charm, or something.” Mar 19, 2008 by
David from Queen Creek, AZ
“Fabulous.” Mar 19, 2008 by
Cj from Lakeville, MN
“This is a great hotel for the business traveler.” Mar 6, 2008 by
Matthew from Cerrillos, NM
“The location is not as close to the university area as I'd like, which means having to contend with lots of traffic in order to get anywhere (anywhere we like to go). The room was very comfortable, the staff was very helpful, the hotel itself is attractive in a corporate sort of way. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was quite good. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay, and what would have made it closer to perfect (just my personal preferences) would have been a sauna and a location closer to things.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Lebron from Alamogordo, NM
“Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The Internet was a little slow and hard to access from the room. The lobby and elevators were strong chemical smells. Room was nice and big.” Feb 20, 2008 by
Sandy from Show Low, AZ
“The location was ideal for shopping on Broadway. Any type of shopping was on that main street.” Feb 13, 2008 by
K from Richmond, VA
“Lovely heated pool and hot tub. Large rooms, friendly staff, elevator was slow and the view was great.” Feb 8, 2008 by
Lydia from San Diego, CA
“This is are second stay in two years at this hotel. They seem to always be under construction. The hotel food was great but wasn't the usual norm for us. For instance, the lounge didn't have a green salad, it had micro greens.” Feb 7, 2008 by
Wyndie from Lakeside, AZ
“We have stayed in this hotel before (Hilton Tucson East) and have always found it very comfortable and friendly.” Feb 7, 2008 by
Caryl from Riverside, CA
“An out-of-the way facility, but easy to get to from the major streets and airport. For a business traveler, you definitely need your own transportation. They were in the process of re-carpeting and handled the traffic flow well. Rooms are large and well furnished with a nice comfortable easy chair. Perhaps because it is so close to so many, and varied restaurants they don't need to have a really good restaurant. It feels like cafeteria, and the priors are out-of-line for the lack of ambiance in the restaurant and lounge.” Feb 5, 2008 by
Phil from Ottawa, ON CA
“My wife and I got a bit antsy when checking in. When checking in, we were asked for a credit card, which is just fine. That's standard for extra expenses But the request to photocopy my Driver's License left me puzzled. Most Hotels look at the Driver's License to confirm photo ID. But a photocopy is not acceptable considering they don't need it, and the fact that Arizona is the Identity Theft Capital of World. They backed off very quickly when we questioned the need to photocopy the License. It left me feeling suspicious.” Feb 4, 2008 by
Karen from Lakeland, FL
“The room was very nice and the location was good. We have paid the same and gotten more amenities at other hotels.” Feb 2, 2008 by
Jim from Delano, CA
“Definitely not past a two star. I now see the name "Hilton" in a whole new way. A negative way. Here is a list of things that happened in my two day stay. 1. Ice machine did not work (called tech) 2. A/C did not go on (called tech). 3. Could not find hair drier (called the front). 4. The smallest TV I have ever seen in a hotel. 5. One elevator was down on rush hour morning; I asked for the stairway and was directed (by a staff who was not sure if there was a stairway) to a stair case only to get locked out and had to go all the way around to the front entrance (Tucson was cold that morning!) 6. Shower valve broke, hot water was pouring non stop (called the tech) I am generally not a complainer BUT GIVE ME A BREAK! THIS IS A HILTON FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! I did not expect all of this. The room was clean and comfortable I'll give it that. But for the price and expectations next time motel, 6 will do a better job than this Hilton. My suggestion: invest, remodel, upgrade, train staff, OR sell it to Marriot or some other chain.” Jan 29, 2008 by
Charles from Naperville, IL
“We were pleasantly pleased with the hotel and there was a great view from our room. Although, the hotel was undergoing renovation in its restaurant - they did offer a limited seating area that was comfortable if you did not want to leave the hotel.” Jan 24, 2008 by
Alex from Sierra Vista, AZ
“The Hilton East has a great atrium, let the sunlight in, in the morning. Easy to find, complimentary parking. And the pool and hot tub were heated nicely.” Jan 21, 2008 by
Ronny from Santo Domingo, NM
“I like the hotel and were its at.”
