• Decor and HD TV in room were great. Mini-fridge was important.

“The staff, rooms and amenities were great. The upscale technologies were really nice. I would have believed the hotel was brand new. Everything they chose not to replace like fixtures in the bathrooms, nasty popcorn ceilings, scary, dirty, old elevators, really detracted from all of the money they spent elsewhere in the renovation.”

• Modern upscale hotel.
• No donuts in the continental breakfast.

“The Hyatt Place was awesome. The staff was professional and over-the-top friendly. Room was large with separate sitting room with bar. Large flat screen TV was a nice touch.”

“The hotel reversed a 20$ fee for a rented movie (that we didn't watch). They checked into it and found it was on for 1 second so the fee was reversed.”

• Very clean comfortable rooms, and considering how close to the airport it is located it was very quiet.
• They did not have a hot tub.

• Large, clean room. Wonderful staff. Comfy bed. Huge TV.
• Very small bathroom. Couldn't see TV from desk.

“This hotel exceeded most of my expectations. The room was large, with a divider between the beds and the living room/office/wet bar area. It was clean, and the staff was very helpful. The continental breakfast was adequate (the addition of a waffle maker or any kind of meat would have been very welcome). My only real complaints were the small bathroom and the lack of an ice machine (room service would bring ice to you).”

“Self check-in machine was great and interesting. Only wish they put a sign for the direction to the room. Unmanned check-in, but, we need an assistant in the end. Otherwise, it was just great and we enjoyed a lot.”

“Best hotel I have ever stayed in. 2 double beds plus queen size sleeper sofa was great for our family of 6. 42" LCD TV with HD cable was excellent. Breakfast was simple, but food was good quality.”

• Big liquid spill spots on carpet in room.

“Easy to find, good location, within short distance of eating establishments. Check-in not the fastest I ever had. Continental breakfast was pretty good. Excellent coffee. Only ice machine on fifth floor, no vending machine for soft drinks.”

• Would like healthier choices in continental breakfast, whole wheat bread, cereal without sugar etc.

“First room given to me smelled like smoke. Even though it is a non-smoking hotel. Also stains on the carpet. Desk assigned me another room which was much better.”

• AC stayed on all the time.

• Looks freshly renovated.
• Breakfast person did not show up for work so could not get breakfast before leaving.

“Check out was by kiosk machine only. No clerk at the desk in the morning. Unusual but it worked. Rooms were clean, furniture looked new. Large HD TV. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location to airport is excellent. Less than 5 minutes.”

• It is first class. Big sectional sofa with TV, refrigerator, wired internet.
• Nothing.

“This is a new concept for Hyatt. It is geared to business travelers. They have a very comfortable lobby area with tables, chairs and a bar with stools. they do serve beer and wine. you can order many different foods. They serve star bucks coffee and have lots of pastries. Good breakfast buffet or you can order eggs and such. The buffet opens at 6AM so you can get an early start. Just a great place even for leisure travelers.”

• Modern and spacious rooms.
• The carpet was very, dirty with large black spots on the floor.

“The hotel looks really nice, the staff was very friendly and were able to check us in at 11am when check-in is at 3pm. The room was great! Spacious with a wonderful sleeper sofa and flat panel TV, decoration was modern and very comfortable. The only thing that was wrong with it is that the carpet in our room was very dirty, it had large black spots as if someone had spilled something on it. My husband walked around in our room in his white socks and after a few minutes he realized the socks were now black. Other than the dirty carpet this room was wonderful, the hotel was extremely close to the hotel and the staff were very nice. I would definitely go back again.”

• Location, cleanliness, Free In Room WiFi Internet, 24 hour airport shuttle service.
• No swimming pool.

“This hotel was convenient to the airport, and the room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were quality. Hotel staff was very assistive when we came in late at night, and even gave us a handout of numerous restaurants. We had called ahead and asked about a vegetarian restaurant on location and the desk clerk went out of his way and called several restaurants around the hotel for us to find out if they were vegetarian friendly, then had the print out ready when we arrived. The 24 hour shuttle to the airport was great as my husband needed to be a the airport at 4 am, so I didn't have to get out and drive him. The hotel also had free in room Wi-Fi internet that also offered print service, which made it super easy for my husband check in online for his flight and used the free print service to print his boarding passes. I thought this hotel was great, and my only possible gripe is I wished it had had a pool for a late night & early morning swim.”

• The Hyatt Place was very neat, friendly people, and staff was very polite eager to help. The room was well stocked.
• Hated to leave.

• Minutes from the airport and very quiet.
• Older linens on beds.

“Convenience to airport a plus. Dont know if I would stay here again unless it's for a business trip. Nothing closes enough to enjoy for leisure. The bedding was a little shabby for Hyatt standards and the couch cushions had stains on them when they were removed to open sleeper sofa.”

“I've never even heard of Hyatt Place until I drove into the parking lot. The staff is hospitable. The hotel lobby is untainted and petite with a cozy feel. The room is larger than expected but with a pygmy bathroom. The beds are cozy but as with all hotel beds they seem to vacuum seal the sheets and blankets to the bed. The large flat screen TV is pleasing. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would visit again.”

• I really like the modern feel, the design, exercise equipment, breakfast and the staff.
• The ex cerise room should supply cleaning spray to clean equipment and more attend to towel replishment.

“I really like the design and overall feel of this hotel. My son would have enjoyed the TV (very big). It was in a great location. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel of the same quality.”

• The decor was modern and nicely done. Staff was attentive and helpful.

“The hotel was decent but the continental breakfast is blah! Also, items in the deli are way over priced (2.50 for a 16oz water bottle!). It looks like the rooms have been recently remodeled but the carpet had multiple stains.”

“The hotel looked nice, but our room was very hot and we did not receive a new room until very late. Also the heater was accidentally turned on and a very bad odor filled the room. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else.”

• Hair on bathroom floor, large stain on bedroom carpet.

“We were pleased with the location, also the size of the room and the large screen TV, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk personnel. The hotel is in the process of being changed over from an amerisuites to a Hyatt, but the construction was pretty well hidden. Nevertheless, the cleanliness of our room was not up to what should be expected -- long hairs on the bathroom floor, large stain on the carpet.”

• Can't beat this hotel for convenience to the Tucson airport.
• Currently bought out by Hyatt and is under renovations. Lots of construction going on!

“This hotel is under big time construction, so the public areas of the hotel are not very nice at this time. There is no business center and the breakfast room is currently in a small room off the lobby in the midst of the construction. The staff is very friendly and the free shuttle to the airport was convenient. The rooms are comfortable and clean.”

• The room was recently remodeled and everything looked brand new.
• The breakfast was well below average.

“I expect when the change to Hilton is complete the lobby and other public areas will be very attractive. The room was very nice for a single traveler or a couple together but offered no privacy for those who travel with children older than 10.”
