• Room size was huge, beds were very comfortable and the resort was very quiet.
• The complementary robes were very worn and should not have been used in a resort of this caliber.

• The people at the front desk were very friendly.
• It is very difficult to locate room. Pool was poorly equipped.

“I would not rate this as a resort as it lacks services. I am used to having a more staffed pool area in resorts. It seems as though you rented an apartment and not a hotel with the services you need.”

• Employees were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of.
• the tennis courts are in need of repair, but the tennis pro was great.

“My family and I dodged the blizzard in Colorado and were able to spend a relaxing time in the sun at a very comfortable resort. The staff at the resort were really nice people which made our stay even more enjoyable.”

• Perfect level of staff and facilities.
• Overpriced breakfast. Large coffee is $8, standard breakfast $14, total with tax/tip over $50.

“The hotel room was very large and nice, The staff not only helpful and friendly, but efficient. We did not use the golf course or fitness as we were in Tucson for a wedding and time at the resort was limited, but the grounds were wonderful and I look forward to our next visit.”

• Friendliness of staff.
• Bathroom basins were cracked but this did not create any problems.

• cleanliness and size of the rooms - Super quiet!
• ongoing construction & TV in room was outdated

“Lovely place to stay in Tucson! The rooms are nice, big and extremely comfortable. Hotel is close to shopping and easily accessible to I-10. We have stayed here two times - once during construction. The construction changes the "feel" of the resort but does not deminish the value and enjoyment. We were not distrurbed by the construction, only noticed it.”

• Pool area, hot tub & gas fireplaces/torchieres rocked!
• Location is a bit out there.

“Loved the infinity pool & hot tub that changed colors at night and the five roaring torchieres nearby - could be tops in Tucson (over Ventana, Paloma & Starr.) Room was huge with a walk-in closet - don't see many of those. Bed / linens wasn't the best ever, but all and all a great place.”

• Beautiful place.
• $12 Facility fee added on.

“Beautiful hotel and grounds. Very comfortable bed. The on-grounds spa was a big hit with my wife. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There were available restaurants so we never had to leave the resort. The only negative was a $12 facility fee they added on which made the place seem a little cheap.”

• Everyone was so nice. Staff went out of their way.
• Breakfast way overpriced at $20 for buffet.

“Great experience. Can't wait to stay there again. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The facilities were very nice and the entire atmosphere was comfortable. If the price for the breakfast was a little more reasonable, the place would be perfect.”

• Really big room!
• Needs updating, bed linens tattered need replaced.

“Beautiful and really comfortable fantastic room, just needs some updating. Overall we loved it, but we had trouble on our second night with very noisy guests in the outdoor areas and rooms above us. Security spoke to the people twice after midnight trying to get them to behave, it was impossible to sleep due to the noise.”

• Hotel restaurant food is good.
• The unnecessary noise.

“There was a youth baseball team staying at the resort while we were there. That was in itself no problem except that the hotel staff allowed the kids to scream and be loud at the pool until 11:30 pm at night. Our room was next to the pool and we could get no sleep until then. For some reason the music outside starts up before 5 am every morning. This is a nuisance because other than that, it is a very quiet place and the music is just not necessary at this time of the morning. The farther away from the pool area you can get a room - the better off you will be when staying here.”

• Comfy bed! Pool temperature was perfect, outside fire places were amazing gently piped in spa music outside.
• Ice machine could have been better.

“Awesome place to stay. The bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in. The piped in spa music that was playing while you relax by the fireplace outside is awesome. The temperature of the zero edge pool is perfect and sparkling clean. Nice adult contemporary music by the pool in the A.M. The views and the service is exceptional. I want to live there and never leave!”

“I would absolutely stay here again. My family felt very safe here. I had no fear of leaving my car unlocked in the parking lot while we were bringing in our luggage. As soon as we arrived I was greeted by name. That was wonderful. They even kept the pool open late for us.”

• Having to wander around in the dark trying to find our room.

“Night bellman was not on the ball. We unloaded the car while he stood at the door. Could tell he would rather park our car than to show us to our room, so gave him the keys and he was gone. Had to wander around barely able to see where we were going. Had trouble reading the map in the dark. No signs to show room numbers on buildings. The construction tracker waited until 8 to start working with his backup signal going just outside our window. Gorgeous view! Wish we could have spent more time there. Especially without the tractor.”

• The new renovated rooms were nice.
• I already loved it before and the new pool and taking away the nice landscaping was a bad idea.

“The Omni was always a pleasure to stay and we loved the rooms romanticism. The pool used to be our favorite hangout with it's waterfalls and shaded bar/cafe. However they are under construction right now trying to modernize the whole resort and in my opinion they're taking away all of what kept us coming back. The rooms are really nice but they're not decorated with any art and the TV is really low and cannot be seen from the beds. The pool is completely different and very plain and boring. The landscaping is very bare. It's pure desert instead of it's old desert Oasis like it used to be. I think the only thing that was worth modernizing was the rooms even though they were beautiful before. So need more to say, we were pretty disappointed to see our favorite resort turn into something not worthwhile.”

• Quiet, and peaceful. There's construction on going at this time, but it was not disruptive.
• Restaurants food not very good and overpriced.

“The Omni is a quiet place in town where you can get away yet in the city and close to shops and restaurants. Relaxing atmosphere and quiet, attentive staff, but restaurants could use help with food and pricing.”

• Hotel charged a resort service fee for things we did not use.

“Very nice hotel, but they charge for faxes, internet use, etc. even though you never used those things. They cater to only business travelers, and could care less about families who just want to vacation.”

“The resort's grounds were beautiful, the location was terrific, the room was spacious and nicely appointed, and the staff was first-rate. That being said, though, I was very disappointed that the resort's $12 tack-on required.”

• I loved the very spacious bathroom and the nice amenities.
• Construction, albeit unobtrusive.

“Bathrooms are very spacious and the amenities are top-of-the-line. The room was recently renovated so the carpet, paint, furniture and linens all seemed so new and clean. Because my husband is an Omni member, they delivered complimentary orange juice, coffee and a newspaper, which we enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the golf course. Food and drink service by the pool was wonderful, as was our view of newly installed landscaping with colorful plant selections. Omni remains at the top of our preference list when it comes to hotel brands.”

“We were first time visitors to Tucson. We found the Omni to be beautiful, clean and very enjoyable. We stayed in the renovated part and the rooms were large and nice (although beds were doubles, not queens or kings). The staff was very helpful in every way, friendly and knowledgeable about all Tucson activities and locations. We found the activities at the resort (golf, etc.) reasonably priced, but the food was overpriced and we tended to eat elsewhere.”

• A very relaxing atmosphere, a great place to recharge.
• Over priced meals and not a very friendly. Must drive out to find near affordable restaurants.

• The rooms were nice.
• Too much renovation construction. Started early am.

“We had an excellent stay. Staff was very friendly, the food was good at the Legends Bar and Grill. Rooms were nice and comfortable. There was a lot of construction noise early in the morning however. That took away some of the attractiveness of the place. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Omni.”

“The welcome was great but after that we saw no one who asked anything. Valet was never there to take the car at night a service I expect at this place. Under construction so maybe better next time.”

• Rooms were newly remodeled.
• Lots of little things weren't right.

“The newly remodeled rooms, while very nice, are not as charming as they were before. There was no artwork on the walls (yet). The mattresses felt cheap. A dead bird was on the terrace when we arrived, and was never removed during our two night stay. The mini-bar wasn't working (everything in it was warm, almost hot). The shower temperature fluctuated. The low placement of the television and the high footboard on the bed made viewing difficult from bed. There's no upscale restaurant (one is scheduled to open before too long). The entire property was under renovation, so there was a lot of dirt, equipment, and temporary barriers. This used to be a nice resort, and I'm sure it will be once again, but right now, it falls short.”
