• The liquor at free happy hour wasn't top notch.

“Nice. Free cook to order breakfast. Nice 2 hour free happy hour. Just the Damned train was loud and all day and night. Overall pretty swell and clean.”

“Greeted warmly by staff who insisted on making us feel welcome and comfortable. Amenities were very clean, beds and linens were excellent, and the overall experience was terrific. Breakfast was also very good.”

• The suites were excellent with several folks.
• They were remodeling the hallway and it looked terrible.

“Overall it was a terrific stay before heading for the grand canyon. Front desk staff were excellent and very friendly.”

• The complimentary breakfast was good.
• The condition of hallways/some public areas.

“We were unhappy the hotel was in the midst of a major remodel. There was no mention of this at time of booking. The halls and some public areas were completely stripped of wall paper and paint and were being retackled. There was a three inch gap underneath the door making the room very noisy. The water was turned off from midnight until 5.”

• Convenient, easy to find, good location.
• TV was so old and outdated, there was no color - movies wouldn't work on TV.

“Sub-standard in that the TV was so old and outdated, there was no color left in it. As well, the ordered movies wouldn't even play on it and we ended up having to change rooms after just getting settled in after a long day of traveling.”

• Staff was fantastic, manager reception and breakfast great.
• Rooms could be more attractive.

“Our experience at this hotel was great. The staff was one of the best I have experienced. The manager reception and cooked to order breakfast, both complimentary, were classy and were 1st rate. At no point did we feel as if any corners were cut which was refreshing. The room was nice but furniture outdated and worn. Hallways and common areas were clean and smelled good. Beds were comfortable. It did get a little busy for the breakfasts for the early risers but we slept in and had no problem. Hours for services were great, not start at 7am and end at 8am. I believe the hours were 7:30 AM to 10:30 am. Anytime I stay in Flagstaff I will stay there. Definitely worth the extra money.”

• The front desk and housekeeping staff were very helpful.
• Once past the lobby, the place was dingy and dated.

“Once you move past the lobby and reception area, the place quickly becomes quite dingy and dated. The rooms are tiny. Our cable went out and it was tended to immediately but when they pulled the cabinet out. There were old, nasty clothes behind it and they just left them. The curtains were filthy and when we pulled down the covers the first night there were hairs on the sheets! The breakfast was not very good either. There just wasn't enough staff to manage the demands of the place. We will not be returning.”

• Check in was fast and easy, breakfast was wonderful, drinks in the evening were relaxing, and my room was spacious and comfortable.
• I have no dislikes.

“Embassy suites were easy access from freeway. Checking was fast and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast in morning was delicious, evening cocktails were relaxing. I would recommend Embassy Suites, Flagstaff to all my friends and family.”

• Plenty of room in the room, quiet location.
• Elevator not working, no non-smoking rooms available.

“The staff was excellent; the complementary breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. The breakfast seating area was spacious; no one ever had to wait for a table, which has happened to me at other hotels. The room, however, was not quite what I expected with outdated, uncomfortable furniture. We had to take a smoking room, and heard someone else ask for a non-smoking room only to be told there were none available. The constant smell of smoke negatively influenced my viewpoint of the room.”

• Amazing breakfast.
• Pool was a little cold.

“My wife and I stayed here in the middle of our motorcycle tour of Arizona, and we were very pleased when we pulled up to the building. Although we arrived early, and the room was not ready yet, the staff accommodated our request to use the pool and have them store some luggage behind the desk. The pool area was nice. There was plenty of seating for sun bathing, which is what most people did because the pool was a little cool that day. The next morning we expected to find doughnuts and coffee. Instead, we found made to order omelets and brand name coffee. This made our morning. Great hotel.”

• Great breakfast and size of room was nice.
• Hotel air conditioning not working well.

“They overbooked non smoking and we got put into a smoking room, being non smokers it was very uncomfortable for us. My 4 year old has severe allergies and we had to make a trip to the pharmacy while on vacation to relive his symptoms which were triggered by the smell in the smoking room. It also took several days for him to recover. They did take $50 off for our inconvenience but I had to spend that at the pharmacy on drugs. The hot breakfast was nice, however it could have been set up much better. There was not enough seating and people were fighting over chairs. The location of food and condiments was confusing and hard to navigate. You got some of your food in one area and the rest across the room after having to walk through a crowded seating area.”

• The staff was very helpful; the room was clean; breakfast was great!
• First room smelled of cigarette smoke, cleaning staff should take care to air out a non-smoking room.

“I wanted a non-smoking room and was put in room that smelled of cigarette smoke. Front desk was extremely apologetic and put us in a new room. Everything was clean. The room was smaller than other embassy suite hotel rooms that I¿ve stayed in. Overall a great room for the price and location.”

• Friendly greeting when I walked in the door. Treated with respect.
• Room was a little small. Would have been cramped if staying for longer than one night.

“Nice lobby, friendly comfortable bar. Front desk staff was very polite. Seemed very accommodating. Dining area for breakfast I could see as cramped during busy time. Must say for the area given things flowed very well. Tables were constantly being cleaned and prepared for the next person. Other guests treated each other politely because they were made to feel comfortable and relaxed.”

“Suite was small but clean. It was nice to have 2 separate rooms. Each had its own TV and the king bed was very comfortable. The sofa bed would have been handy if we had the kids with us. Having a refrigerator in the room is always handy. Great breakfast with made to order oblates.”

• Hotel is nicely decorated, quiet. Has an absolutely wonderful "happy hour" & made to order breakfast included in room rate! Fantastic & friendly!
• We liked everything except the pillows on beds are like balloons!

“This is a classy hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff members located in the heart of "motel and restaurant row" in flagstaff. It's quiet, clean, and decorated very nicely. The rooms are suites with two beds in one room and also a sofa bed in the other room. They have a wonderful "happy hour" every evening in a comfortable bar area and a delicious made to order breakfast every morning-all included in the room rate! We loved the place and will return again the next time we go to or through flagstaff.”

• I do not like not having an ice machine easily accessible.

“We paid full price both times we stayed at this hotel, and when I pay $180 a night, I expect a great hotel. The ice machines were NOT convenient, and neither TV had a menu screen to be able to choose a "pay per view" movie. The guy at the front desk said, "maybe you should try re-plugging in the TV and it might work." That's not good service. The 1st time we stayed here, we were near the ice machine, and the room was perfect.”

• Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful with directions, etc.
• This property was not as well furnished and maintained as many other Embassy properties where I've stayed.

“This is a good hotel and a good value, but the property has a slightly shop-worn appearance. The staff are first-rate and the hotel location is convenient to restaurants, shopping and the Interstate highways.”

• Toilets do not have a lot of flush power.

“The hotel's in a very central location right next to N. AZ U, just off all the major highways to Sedona, Grand Canyon, Page, Rte 66, all the places we wanted to go. Great cooked to order breakfast!”

• Had an outside pool, wasn't open/ heated.. Opens May 1st.

“Beautiful hotel, & lobby, Extra comfy beds, Loved the complimentary happy "hour" and totally awesome "made to order" free breakfast every morning.., Excellent food and great cooks! Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Probably the BEST choice for a hotel stay in town! Highly RECOMMENDED!!”

• Great location.
• Noise from the nearby railroad tracks in the middle of the night.

“This property is clean and very well maintained. It is a great location to access the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Painted Desert and Sedona. The only negative is that the railroad runs through the middle of town and you can sometimes hear the whistle in the middle of the night. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property!!”

• This hotel offered an excellent made to order breakfast and free drinks and snack at happy hour, excellent.
• Very hard to come up with a bad comment but there was one male bartender one evening that we didn't care for.

“I enjoyed every thing about my stay. Close to Sedona and to the Grand Canyon. It was a home a way from home. The staff was willing to help in anyways to make us feel comfortable. They suggested good ordered food and local hot spots as well. The complimentary cook to order breakfast was fabulous as well as the manager's happy hour. What a delightful get away! I look forward to visiting again!”

• Our room was perfect. We loved the suite. The kids loved it they felt they had their own space.
• It was hard to get to the motel off the roadway. And for our needs it would have been nice to have a room with two queen instead of doubles.

“The over all stay was great. The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the breakfast that was served the dining area was nice and open, the cooks and servers very nice. We just really enjoyed being there. Yes, we will stay there again.”

• The price was great , the hotel had a wonderful breakfast and happy hour that was included in the price .The location was perfect !!!

“This hotel was older but was well maintained and very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The only draw back was the two double beds instead of one queen or king. This is a wonderful place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone.”
