“I stayed for 3 days following my National Soccer team, about 8 members of the team and staff had property and cash stolen, not in open areas, it was in their rooms. A hotel should be safe, even more with international delegations.”

• We were pleasantly surprised with the decor.

• Friendly staff, large room, clean, free parking, great view of mountains.

“This property exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful and willingly fulfilled our request for a mountain-view room. Our room was larger than expected, clean, quiet. Pool was clean. Location was in the older part of down-town Provo, with lots of restaurants all around. Very visitor-friendly. Would definitely recommend!”

• Staff was remarkably friendly and helpful.

“The Provo Marriott exceeded our expectations. We upgraded the room to a junior suite. It was spacious and very comfortable even with a family of five. It is a very convenient location in downtown Provo but within 5 minutes of I-15. I would definitely recommend the hotel, and already have to three other families. One slight problem was a vibration coming out of the air conditioner that was a little noisy. It was promptly fixed.”

• Very nice linens and rooms.
• When sleeping the bed was low in the middle and uncomfortable, toilet overflowed in the night by itself.

“The appearance of the hotel was good but the room was not what I expected. The room smelled like an old renovated room. The bed was great, the bathroom was too small. It resembled old style motels.”

• I liked the modern look and the friendly staff.
• The way to the pool it was a little confusing when coming from the north tower.

“I really enjoyed staying here. I have previously stayed here but it was before the remodel. It was a really good stay they had everything we needed and was very sincere when things were not going right.”

• Several parts of the room needed some TLC: Chipped door and wallpaper, chair etc.

“I was traveling alone with a 2 and 3 year old so I wanted something nice and safe. The staff were so nice, helpful and professional throughout the stay. The rooms have a peacefulness to them and it smelled clean since it's a non-smoking hotel.”

“This is a very nice hotel featuring all of the amenities you would expect from Marriott. When checking in, the front desk staff was engaged in other conversation when I feel the attention should have been on the guest. The room was as expected but the heating would not work. They have electric heat strips and for some reason they were not glowing all of the way. They came and checked it and it was not heating so they moved us to another room above, they were very helpful with the move but after waiting a while the heater in the new room would not heat up very well either.”

• Good location, in past generally liked this hotel.
• No ability to close out light from outside room 532. Terrible night's sleep.

“We have stayed in this hotel about six times this year. It is good. Not as clean as the Hampton, but we can state price. The staff is always pleasant, public areas nicely decorated, the tile in the showers makes you wonder how clean it really is, but usually we like the stay and it is closer to our daughter than Hampton. This time there were no closeable drapes to block out the lights from outside one of which was from the hotel's several storied parking lot. Our room felt like it was time to wake up all night. We arrived late, showered and ready for bed before we realized it. My husband hates to complain and asked me to make do. I was very tired and managed to go to sleep, but awakened about 2:00 because it was light. I was surprised when I looked at the clock to realize what time it was. I had defaulting the rest of the night. I was very disappointed. This is a three star hotel, but honestly felt far from it that night.”

• The staff is so friendly, helpful, and accommodating in every way. The room was comfortable, clean, & cozy.
• I had room service make 1 mistake, but I didn't say anything because it wasn't that big of a deal.

• I loved the updated features of the bed and bathroom. The furniture was great.
• The only thing was that the staff wasn't extremely friendly. They seemed stand-offish.

• The rooms were very beautiful.
• The parking structure was a concrete nightmare.

“The hotel is beautiful, the decorations stylish, and the staff helpful and friendly. The only problem with the hotel is a very poorly designed parking structure. The parking spaces are too small for anything but a mini cooper and the driveways Narrow and steep. After 20 minutes of Navigating the structure I left and parked on the street. I was so relieved I didn't scratch my rental car while in the structure.”

• The food was disgusting and very expensive! Not worth it at all!

“It was much more than we expected. For the most part we enjoyed our stay. Our truck was too big to fit in the parking garage so we had to pay to park it across the street but the room was clean and comfortable. The only downfall in the room was the bathroom was very tiny.”

• Internet way too expensive - should be free.

“The internet is ridiculously expensive which would make me less likely to stay in this hotel again. Why can they not provide free internet as other 3 and 4 star hotels do. I had to go around town to find a free internet since theirs was $4 for the first 15 minutes and $.25 a minute for each additional minute. Ridiculous. Most of the way I rated the hotel was because of the internet situation. The decor of the room in that awful yellow was not attractive, but it looked new and clean.”

• I like the beds at Marriott properties.
• The pool area was indoors and very small. If we had our kids it would have been disappointing.

• The best things about this hotel were the pools, hot tub, and cleanliness.
• There was very little to complain about. The ice machine on my floor was not working, and the doorknob to the stairs didn't work correctly.

“The staffs at this hotel were friendly and helpful. They even offered to google my credit union to find a location for me. The rooms were clean and spacious. The shower was hot and had plenty of pressure. The pool was open later than usual, which allowed us to unwind after a long day. This was a great experience.”

“The shower in our room was very poor. I told the staffs who was moderately interested. I also ended up with a charge that I shouldn't have, which was taken care off, and then when I check my account on line, there was a $61.09 charge to my debit card that was inaccurate. When I called they said that was protocol for Debit card usage, and that the charge would drop off in 3-5 business days. Why wasn't I informed of this when I gave them my card? The room it's self was very nice, overall it wasn't the best experience.”

• When I walked into the room it was clean and very pleasing to the eye. I think the best thing about the room is the crisp sheets and pillow cases.
• I feel they need to upgrade the carpeting and tile in the bathroom.

“I love the Marriott and I would recommend it to anyone. It is our family favorite in Provo, at. It is clean and room service is fast. Everyone who works there is so willing to help in anyway they can.”

• Everything was great though it really is nice to have some kind of continental breakfast or such.
