• Convenience to major roads, decor, helpfulness of staff, clean exercise room.
• Like green towel option but sometimes towels were not replaced; bathroom not cleaned exceptionally well.

“I was given a room with a view of Mt Humphreys, beautiful! Comfortable bed, good TV, agreed with towel service but felt it was conducive to cleaning staff not thoroughly cleaning the bathroom each day. Room next door to cleaning closet and next to door that led to upstairs rooms--when I took a shower it sounded as if someone was coming in my room each time the door slammed, scary! Pretty room, though, and excellent to have free broadband so I didn't miss a minute of online activity. VERY nice to have small microwave oven and refrigerator (that I could use) in the room. Breakfast should last until 10AM and should be open at 6AM on Sunday. I would stay here again.”

• Very clean. Nothing to complain about.
• The curtains were located behind the sheers. Many people never realized this and you could see in their room.

• Quiet room. Fantastic staff and service, microwave and fridge in room.
• Happy with everything.

“Fairfield was a wonderful hotel. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The pool and Jacuzzi were in great condition. Delicious continental breakfast. Hotel was near restaurants. The staff made us feel at home - very friendly and accommodating!”

• Bottom floor, could not open only window for fresh air non-opening window - what if emergency & couldn't use door?

“We were staying for a Frisbee golf tournament. We weren't there a lot, but while we were it was pleasant. Weather was gorgeous! Room is nice size, amenities were useful, nice pool that families were enjoying.”

• I loved that it was easy to get to and the free cookies.
• The hot water furnace was broken when we got there.

• The large bathroom that could accommodate handicap.
• The light switch on the outside of bathroom.

“The room was very clean and spacious. It has a large bathroom which is nice and handicap friendly if needed. The free continental breakfast was excellent, you can even make your own waffle. I would stay there again.”

• Extremely noisy! Small room. Outside corridors.

“This is the noisiest place I've stayed at in years. You can hear every footstep and door slam in the entire building. The hotel is 100% smoke free which seemed appealing until several people on my floor started leaving their rooms at all hours of the night for a quick smoke. This property is nothing but an old dump with fancy new carpets and furnishings. I'm very disappointed with my stay. The Marriot chain seems to be going downhill.”

• Way too noisy. Could hear everyone outside, above and below the room.

• The staff were prompt and fixed a problem we had with the first room they gave us satisfactorily.
• The breakfast was not hot breakfast, it was more continental with prepackaged egg sandwiches which looked unappetizing.

“The staff was nice. The first room was smelly and the heater was old with a loose outside shell that fell off. The new room they gave us was adequate and clean. Everyone from the maintenance to the cleaning to the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and prompt to help. The snow was shoveled and gravel/salt put down promptly so weather safety was not a problem. The breakfast was disappointing and sparse. If I need to go up to Flagstaff for another University tour I may pick this hotel but I'd try to find a hotel with a better breakfast selection.”

• Good, basic 'motel' style place. Somewhat exceeded expectations for the price.
• On a busy road. Can be noisy in some rooms. Get something in the back. Similar places further from road nearby.

“Overall, a nice experience with this place. Was not expecting too much not in scenic area, not romantic and that's what we got. So my star rating reflects our expectations and our cost. But it served its purpose. It was clean and our room was quiet, except for a little clamoring around from the people above. A convenient location for flagstaff activities about 2 miles from Downtown, practically walking distance to NAU campus. The only real drawback for this place was that it's on a busy road, which could be a problem if your room faces that way. This was not an issue for us as we were on the backside of the motel and never heard the road at all. There are a couple of other motels near this place that are a block further from this busy street if that's a concern for you. Just for your info no pets are allowed and there is no smoking allowed in any room. They say they also have accessible accommodations as well. Overall, for the price we paid, it was fine.”

• The hot breakfast was great.
• Neighbors were loud until about 11:30.

“The first time I stayed there 2 weeks ago it was very quiet. This time it was not as quiet but any real bad. Once the neighbors stopped the TV. Others have complained about the window not having shades, you need to be smarted than the shade and reach behind the shear curtain and pull the shades together. Altogether Id stay there again next time.”

• I liked the convenient location; friendly and informative staff; smoke free environment.
• The lack of full draperies to close; very noisy AC unit.

“I will stay at Fairfield on subsequent visits to flagstaff. It is very convenient to all areas of the city; the staff is helpful and friendly; the room was small but clean; the shower head was terrific! My only complaint is the lack of full draperies to shut out street light and for privacy and a very noisy a/c unit. I especially appreciate the fact that the entire facility is smoke free.”

• We walked into the room and saw a fireplace. Looked at it and it was fake.

“Room was nice and clean. The bathroom looked new and was quite large. Our room had a great view to the mountains. Excellent location to access Yosemite. I only wish the fake fireplace in the room was real.”

• It has the weirdest layout we've ever seen in a Fairfield inn.

• Good location. Clean. Met my expectations in terms of fit and finish.
• The ice maker did not work. The Internet access in the Business Center limits one to 15 minutes. This was not good for me.

“In a great location. With a few changes, primarily with the Business Center internet access, this one would get a 10. The ice maker was being replaced while I was there. Flagstaff, As., is just a great city with the Grand Canyon being within reach as well as Oak Creek Canyon.”

• Very clean, extra pillows without asking.
• Drapes did not close, ice make only on first floor.

“Clean but very small room for the money. Drapes did not close so we were awakened at sunrise in our East-facing room. Close to road so quite a bit of road noise. Continental breakfast had lots of choices, including fresh waffles. Ice machines limited, not working on two floors.”

• The staff was friendly. Check out time was convenient and the heated pool was cool for the time of travel we chose. Overall great experience.
• The hallways to the rooms were located outdoors so it was a little cold at night. Luckily it wasn't raining.

“This hotel was perfect for our travel. The facility was clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and it had convenient parking. The heated pool and Jacuzzi were a nice bonus since we traveled with children that really enjoyed it. The breakfast was good and stocked well. I enjoyed my stay here.”

• Rooms too small and not clean. Breakfast room inadequate.

“The location is fine. The room was too small for four people. The coffee machine had a previous guest's coffee filter in it. There was dirty laundry in the bathroom. The breakfast room is too small for the number of guests.”

• Down pillows. Nice breakfast.
• Walls are very thin. Curtains do not close.

“I have never stayed at any hotel where you could not close the curtains. They just hang to the sides for show. You only have a sheer to work with. Never seen such an odd set up. Hotel is clean. Walls are very thin. We could hear just about everything to our sides and above. Be sure to check if parking lot is plowed in winter. If not you will need a 4x4. Beds are very firm. Down pillows are nice. Free breakfast of waffles, yogurt, fruit, muffins was nice.”

“This was the first time I had stayed at a Fairfield Inn. This was a great hotel. It was spotlessly clean, offered all the necessary amenities and offered a GREAT continental breakfast included in the price of the room. There was not a single thing that I felt was missing. The staff was wonderful too.”

“I've recently stayed in 4 motels in the same price range, and this hotel was the finest! I would have payed more. Awesome breakfast, room, furnishings, and very helpful staff. They are the best! Would stay there again without hesitation!”

• The hotel was located convientley close to NAU and local shopping centers.
• The room was very small with no extra accomadations. ei: no vcr, no microwave, no mini refridgerator.

“Hotel was great. They were undergoing some renovation which made it slightly inconvenient but I understood. I commend them for maintaining and improving their facilities. The staff was friendly and prompt to meet your needs. They offered a very nice continental breakfast, which is always a nice ammenity. In fact, I felt they went above and beyond the typical continental fare of donuts and coffee. They included boiled eggs, a variety of fruit, cereals, milks, yogurts and in addition waffles - you poured the batter yourself into the waffle iron offering you a hot alternative on chilly mornings.”
