• I liked the triple sheeting and the hot tub.
• The pool was cold and the rooms are outdated and need a makeover.

• Room size was great and the beds were excellent. Really liked the sofa bed and the rolling bed for the kids.
• For us the location )about 3-4 miles off the freeway) was not great. This location would be fine if visiting the Univerity. But for us not as good.

“I read many of the reviews prior to staying at this hotel. Some were accurate and some were not. The beds were good and the room size was good. We had a guest room with a King bed and sofa sleeper. We also requested a rolling bed for our other child. Great room size and it worked great for a family of 4. The price we paid through priceline was great for the quality of the hotel. Location to the freeway was not as good but not that hard to find. Some people complained in other reviews about the pool and Hot pool temps. They were great! I am sure they have fixed these issues. Also look at the time of year they stayed. Winter time any pool will seem cold! Our stay in July, the room was clean and everything worked fine. I would say that the A/C unit was a bit noisy in our room (402) but the rest of the hotel was very quiet. Ice machine on 4th floor also didn't work but we just used the stair to the 3rd floor to get ice. Definitely would stay again! Nice and friendly staff!”

“I wasn't eligible for a room upgrade to two queen beds. I was put in the oldest room with the least features. I suggested that other family stay in the hotel with us and their room was larger, had upgraded features and quite nicer than the room
I was given.”

• Our room was literally 95 degrees when we walked into it. The air conditioning never caught up with the heat.

• Good location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pool open 24 hours. Market in lobby very convenient.
• Pool was freezing cold. Furniture was old.

“Our stay was fine. Pool was unusually cold, but we told this was not normally the case. The staff was terrific. The lobby market was handy and reasonably priced. Furniture was all a little old and worn. Bed was comfortable.”

• Perfect business hotel.
• Sink area small, but very nice.

“Hotel is perfect for business traveler. Very comfortable bed. Daily Paper, Good coffee in the lobby. Front Desk is efficient. You can tell people here go through hard winters, they are not overly friendly but very courteous.”

• This is the first time that I've stayed at a hotel that doesn't serve a breakfast.

• Hotel was clean, close to shopping and other activities.
• Hotel did not provide complimentary breakfast, which is always fast and convenient to travelers.

• Poor bed linens, poor mattress, sink didn't drain, worn.

“Even though the front desk was friendly the general condition of this Marriott was poor. Bed linens, pillows and towels were worn and poor quality. The mattress was in poor condition and gave me a back ache. Not what I am used to in a Marriott. Our sink did not drain and our TV had such poor sound quality it had to be turned up too loud. Other rooms had the same problem because I could hear our neighbor's at 2 in the morning. Usually there are apples in the lobby at Marriot's but only 1 day was there fruit and the apples were bad. Needs a remodel or redo.”

• The room reeked of smoke, in a poor location, and housekeeping not good.

“I was so disappointed in this hotel room. We are used to 3-star rooms and this definitely didn't qualify. The cleaning wasn't good too, few towels, room stunk of smoke and outside the immediate hotel, and surroundings were weeds in a big vacant lot.”

• It was located conveniently off of a main road. It's a Marriott, always very nice.
• It was on the edge of the bad part of town. It was kind of scary looking at night time.

“You can never really go wrong when staying at a Marriott. It was a good hotel and met our needs for our stay.”

• The employees were very nice and seemed to enjoy their job.
• The bathroom was a little dirty and there was no shampoo. I did not bring any since there is usually some in the room.

“The lobby was a little cluttered but I could tell they were working on it and it looks like it is going to be really nice. The employees were some of the nicest that I have met at a hotel. I would recommend to my friends to stay there.”

• I loved the windows overlooking the pool.
• I cannot think of something I did not like.

“We received a friendly greeting whenever we entered or exited the lobby. The front desk always answered the phone with one or two rings when we would call with a question. The room was neat and clean and smelled fresh. The pool was warm and clean. The fitness area was well equipped. I enjoyed my stay.”

• The bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable.. NICE surprise!
• No continental breakfast??? I've stayed in lower quality hotels with great food! so I was surprised at the lack there of.

“I was traveling to see my grandson for the first time, it was easy to find, close to stores and shopping, the front desk personnel were so friendly and helpful. The bed was so comfortable I had to check out what kind it was! Rooms were quiet and my son enjoyed the pool! I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling through/to Provo!”

• The pool heater was broken, no breakfast, terrible customer service, rude employees, small rooms and beds very expensive.

• Generally, a very nice facility.
• No breakfast included. Evidently the owner has a TGIF Friday and doesn't want the competition.

“The hotel had a very soft bed. Neither my wife nor I slept well. I woke with a sore back from the bed. The comforter was light and I was afraid it would be too cold. Quite the opposite, it was too hot! Otherwise, the hotel was clean, friendly staff, convenient, etc. If Courtyards are being outfitted with those beds, I'm afraid I will be avoiding Marriott in the future.”

“Nice hotel in a strange location. Apparently the neighborhood had been mostly abandoned. Once again surpassed my expectation of a 2 1/2 star by far considering you rank the 150 year old ( just seems that way to me) Holiday Inn Provo a 3 star.”

• The linens were very nice, high thread count and real soft.
• Our room had a heat exchange pipe going through it, which made the room uncomfortably warm, in fact we had to run the air conditioner.

“The hotel was decorated nice and the linens were very high quality. The beds were comfortable. I liked the sink outside of the bath set up, which is more convenient when there is more than one person. The temperature of the room is the only complaint we had. It's unusual to have to run the air conditioner in January when it's snowing outside.”

• The beds were super comfortable. The room was nice and spacious. It was well kept.
• It was far away from places we were visiting, so it took time to get places.

“The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable, nice, and quiet. There was some hotel renovations going on, so there was some dirt in the halls and the room showed wear, but overall, the stay was nice. We got a good nights sleep, even with a 6 month old in the room!”

• They put us ona floor that was torn up smelly they must have been doing some remodeling.

“It felt like we were just given a room that would do. It smelled of smoke and the hallway was torn up and messy. We had a miss understanding about if we had a king or 2 queens. I thought i secified in my booking.”

• They kindly accomodated our need for change in the room locations.
• They are undergoing some reconstruction and things were not as nice as in the past.

“I liked the sheets on both sides of the blanket on the bed. It makes the bed feel so much more sanitary. I will stay there again just for that reason.”
