• I liked the area, the homey feeling, and maid attention.
• The lumpy top comforter was very unattractive!

“We were pleased with our stay. The maids were very polite, asking when it would be convenient to clean the room, etc. Fresh towels, soap, etc. were nice each day.”

• The access to the strollling path in the back and ammenities offered
• the pool was way too hot and the breakfast buffet was questionable

“The staff were wonderful and attentive. The room was average and lots of pillows on the bed. It was clean. The indoor pool was almost the same temperature as the hot tub and was not enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was not ready by six oclock and I had to leave. Tried to get some hot chocolate and it didn't work...it was all water! Overall it could be a great place to be if they correct these little problems.”

• The whole place stinks, very dirty, very dated, no elevator.

“This place smells dirty, looks dirty. The bathroom was so cheaply remodeled with tile that they did not even bother wipining the grout off the tile when setting it. Their was no elevator for heavy bags. I travel for a living and this is the worst hotel I spent the night at in many years.”

• Birthday sleepover for 12 year old and 9 friends. Very accommodating hotel staff.

“Very good. I let them know we were having a birthday sleepover with 10 girls. I asked them to put us somewhere away from others. They put us next to the pool and away from other guests. Staff was very friendly and brought things quickly when requested. Room was clean. We were very happy.”

• There was no hot water-only lukewarm. I complained and received no apology and the problem was never fixed.
  

“Mediocre at best. No hot water and the carpet were stained. Staff was not apologetic or accommodating regarding the lack of hot water. Good location.

• Shorted us on towels, coffee.

“Generally speaking we enjoyed our stay at Best Western. Front desk was very helpful in delivering our coffee and towels that were left out. Guys and gals at front desk really went out of there way to be friendly.”

• Clean and comfortable and excellent for the price.
• It was set back out of the way which made it hard to find.

“The room was very clean, the beds comfortable. The shower was roomy with nice water flow. Sounds funny but the toilet was not standard size and was small. No elevator and we had several bags. Complimentary breakfast was wonderful. We need more towels and room service brought the up right away. I would stay there again.”

• We only had to stay one night.
• An overall annoying experience.

“Noisy maids in hallway, very basic room, no elevator, poor parking. Old fashioned noisy air conditioner kept us awake all night. Windows would not open. If you want a good nights sleep avoid this one.”

“It was a fine hotel, but does not compare to the Downtown Provo Marriott. The beds were not as comfortable and the quality of furnishings not as good. Just not as high star quality as the Marriott.”

“This hotel was very nice. Updated bathroom that was clean and comfortable. Very nice hotel for the rating that it had. Good enjoyable breakfast and two options for swimming, indoors or out. It was great and my children had a fantastic time.”

• The employees were excellent.
• The carpets could use a extra good cleaning.

“I would use this hotel again. The breakfast was very nice and the location to the mall, dining, theaters, and BYU (Brigham Young University) was great.”

“The staff was very nice and helpful. I left my pillow in the room and didn't call until 2 days. Later they found it. They offered to send it but I had my daughter pick it up. The breakfast they offered was wonderful with lots of choices. Loved my room and the beds.”

• Old facility, no elevator, somewhat unhelpful staff.

“I was surprised, upon check-in, how disinterested the desk attendant seemed in making sure I knew where I was going and that I had what I needed. He had no map of the hotel to give me so that I could find my way (only one under glass at the desk to show me). There was no elevator here, so I had to carry luggage for a family of five up stairs to the second floor. Also, the parking was very sparse. I had to unload everything and carry it up parked illegally, then move my van about a 75 yard walk from my room to park it.”

• Guest rooms are large, and grounds are attractive.
• The free breakfast area is small and selection mediocre.

“This is a well-located hotel for Provo, near to the mall and a short drive to BYU. The rooms are large, and the grounds are attractive. There is a stream running behind the hotel with a walking/running path. It is a bit worn at the edges, and the breakfast area is small with few choices. But, overall, a pretty good value.”

• Spacious stairways, hallways, and rooms.
• No elevator and heavy bed covering.

“Anyone, unless they needed an elevator, would feel very comfortable at this hotel. It was in a wonderful location for accessibility to the University and other points of interest in the area. One disadvantage was that residents could not reach their room location without going outside from the main lobby. But this was a minor inconvenience considering all the positives for the Hotel. We'd stay at this Hotel every time we visit Provo if rooms were available.”

• No elevator; housekeeper didn't make bed very well.

“Very good hotel with outdoor pool. The breakfast is better than the basic continental breakfast you get at other places, with hot eggs and bacon. We couldn't find an elevator though. What do people do who have trouble carrying luggage up stairs.”

• The outside was pretty.
• Hot hallway. Rude staff. Housekeeping knocked at 7:45 am.

“It is a motel no question. After walking to my room with kids and luggage in tow, I put my card key in and it didn't work. I had to walk all the way back to the front desk and she said you have to put it in slowly and pull it out slowly then lift the handle up really fast until it opens. Someone should have told me they have problems with the locks. It took me 5-10 tries every time I came to my room. Then the door that comes in from the parking lot needed a key and mine had been inactivated. I had to walk at night with my kids all the way around to the front and she said oh that happens all the time and just reset it. The whole thing with the keys is a joke. The building is a little hard to find as well but it is really cute.”

• Staff went over and above for us for our 30th wedding anniversary. Extremely thoughtful and generous.
• The breakfast room is too small, food was not replenished, eggs dried up, unappetizing.

“This hotel had a very thoughtful and caring staff with attention to details. The make your own waffles was excellent. The grounds with benches by the river and mountain provided a serene, quiet escape. They treated us special for our anniversary, which was the only place that made mention of it out of 9 locations we stayed at. The only drawback was the cramped breakfast room. Convenient location for dining options.”

• The refrigerator in the room was noisy. We had to turn it off.

“It was nice and clean. We had our own deck that overlooked the river. I liked that it had two pools. The breakfast was just ok. I would stay again.”

• It was a very nice motel in a great location for our needs.
• Breakfast area was not large enough.

“Pool was fun, the rooms has a great view of the Provo river and the walking areas around the river. It was very quiet. We actually stayed there three different nights and the last nights there was a problem with a room that needed repairs.”

• The service was very friendly when I arrived.
• The hallway walls were in construction with black paint every ware and the breakfast was ended and taken away far before the stated end time.

“The staff was friendly and attentive, brought towels quickly to the room. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable, quite old. The outside pool was not opened yet for the summer, even though it is June. We were told the breakfast bar would be open until 10:00 am, we arrived at 9:20 and many things were already gone. I mentioned it to the attendant and she just shrugged her shoulders and wandered off. I was just one of many very disgruntled. They do a lot to advertise there great free hot breakfast and it was a big disappointment when there was nothing there but some juice and greasy sausages swimming in their own juice all cold. We had to go somewhere else for breakfast. Overall, I would pick a different hotel next time I go to Provo.”

• The Jacuzzi was broken and the pool was not warm.

“The hotel is an older hotel. It was OK. The rooms were clean and that is good thing. It was rated at 2-1/2 star hotel. I believe it is a 2 star.”
