• Beautiful inside and out.
• Their nonsmoking room still smelled heavily of smoke.

“High on the hillsides to the ski slopes, this hotel is everything you could ask for especially if you were staying several days. With a convenient kitchenette and gas fireplace, this was a romantic, relaxing place. The hotel is a nonsmoking hotel but the only little drawback was that our room still smelled of smoke. Nice staff, nice room, I would certainly go back again!”

• Free breakfast, and clean rooms with a mountain view.
• TV reception was bad for some reason, and none of the staff below front desk spoke English.

“This hotel was nice, clean, and the closest available to the ski resorts near Wasatch Forest (Snowbird, Alta, Solitude). There were a lot of nice, quiet business travelers and the complimentary breakfast is an actual full meal! They also always have free us today, and WSJs in the lobby and hot coffee and teas waiting for when you come in. Every room has a kitchen, and overall were very spacious for 2 travelers. Would definitely stay in again!”

“Easy access to I-215 freeway. Close to Brighton & Solitude ski areas -- yet still in city. Clean. Quiet. Great breakfast selection.”

• Location, kitchen in hotel room, and complimentary Internet and breakfast.
• Bed could be more comfortable.

“I learned that the Residence Inn had overbooked and did not have a room for me when I arrived at 10:00 PM on Thursday, August 3rd. It was a real inconvenience because I traveled from the Midwest and wanted to go to bed since it Midnight EDT. The Residence Inn reserved me a room at another hotel, which was difficult to find. I had to check out the next morning and return to the Residence Inn. I would have preferred to stay at one hotel the entire time instead of packing up and moving back to the Residence Inn. It definitely caused me to shuffle my Friday schedule.”

• Full Kitchen, Friendly staff, Great breakfast.
• Housekeeping not helpful/language barrier.

“This hotel is the best for families or extended stay guests. You get a full kitchen, stove dishwasher and full size fridge. The rooms are huge with separate bedrooms and living rooms. The staff except housekeeping is the friendliest I have met. they even had an Easter bunny visit my kids.”

• No maid spoke English, hard to get housekeeping help.

“I love this hotel. It was remodeled and the did take the stoves out of the kitchen and changed the breakfast a bit. I rooms are perfect for families and the location safe.”

• Breakfast was terrific and room very comfortable and clean. loved the hot tub.
• Front desk staff not knowledgeable about buses to ski areas. Front desk staff rude and unable to communicate with each other regarding shuttle bus.

“Hotel itself is wonderful, great location and proximity to ski areas and comfortable. However, we had expected better shuttle bus service to the UTA ski buses based on our friend's prior experience. Something clearly has changed at this hotel. The manager was inattentive to our complaints and the front desk staff was rude, laughed when we had to wait 50 minutes for the hotel shuttle bus because they forgot to tell the driver we were waiting.”

• Good location right off of I-215 in good shopping area.
• Housekeeper was less than accommodating. I even left tip 1st day.

“5 minutes and you're on I-215 North or Southbound, or on your way up the canyon to go skiing or snowboarding! We love the location. Desk staff is always accommodating. Only problem is seasonal swimming pool. They need to cover it and keep it open all year round!”

“Great location. Great staff. Great breakfast. Everyone in our party raved after we stayed here. We had a great time and it brings back the good old days when hotels were know for great customer service. Best stay in years.”

• Stayed @ Residence Inn Cottonwood before
• Loved everything from the people to the location. Facility was under a little bit of remodel but it was clean and orderly.

“Excellent place to stay in Salt Lake if looking for a place away from the city hustle and bustle.”

• Location near the ski resorts (Alta, Brighton, etc).
• Poor arrangements for pedestrians.

“This was a skiing trip, so I was happy to be near Big Cottonwood Canyon (Brighton and Solitude) and Little Cottonwood Canyon (Alta and Snowbird). Also there are several good restaurants nearby. Being a Residence Inn, the studio rooms are larger than a standard hotel room.”

“For some reason we could not regulate the temperature of the room, even though it became very hot in there. We did tell the front desk about it, but the in-room thermostat simply did not work.”
