• Hotel located away from Casa Grande, which was wonderful, enjoyed the balcony and the expansive golf course.
• Nothing I did not like.

“Found this hotel by chance. I will stay every year when I'm in Casa Grande. I was in the towers which I really enjoyed. At night the sky was so clear. I am not a golfer, but an going to learn just so I can use the course. The staff was helpful and made me feel as though I'd been a guest at this hotel many times before.”

• Cool history and nice decor in public areas.
• Towels in pool area and hot tub shut down.

“Comfortable, but slightly dated rooms except bathrooms, which are nicely remodeled. Interesting baseball bat-shaped pool and photos in golf pro shop detailing history of hotel as a baseball spring training facility.”

• The upgraded Room.
• The staff not courteous or helpful.

• Glad the restaurant was open till 10:00 PM. Room was clean and spacious for family of five. Pool had towels, too!
• Seems like it is in the middle of nowhere. In reality, it was only 10 minutes from the nearest gas station.

“It is an ideal half-way point between San Diego and New Mexico. Very peaceful location. The stars were brilliant at night. Name your price is the way to go!”

• Staff is friendly.
• Located near dairy farm, manure smell horrendous.

“This hotel is not a three star rating. They give you the courtyard rooms that are so small than two people can barely fit into. The tower rooms are beautiful and probably rated a four star but you have to pay an upgrade charge of $20/night. I would rate this hotel a one-star.”

• It was on a Golf Course.
• Hotel set-up, room decor, staff made promises and did not follow through.

“My room was not in the main tower but in what is called the courtyard. This building looked like as 1950's motel and the inside of the rooms reflected that as well. Because the buildings were made of brick you get no cell phone or Wi-Fi signal in these rooms. (This was the first time in the year that I have had this cell phone that I was without a signal).”

• No help with baggage and drafty doorways.

“For someone looking for a scheduled off the beaten path golf get away this would be very nice. I do not know if this hotel offers a restaurant, if not you would have to drive about 7 miles to restaurants.”

• Well kept, and clean. Great history.
• No assistance from bellman on check-in. Desk clerk assigned upper level room with no elevator access. Didn't seem to care.

“Very nice hotel and grounds. Front desk clerk unwilling to accommodate us and had poor attitude.”

• When we weren't satisfied with the first room they upgraded us immediately.
• Lack of support offered for junior staff working the desk at night.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The restaurant was top notch, the golfing great and the upgraded room phenomenal. It is also a pet friendly hotel and we will definitely book here again.”

• Location is half way to destination.
• Room was drafty and cold. Heat did work.

“The tower room was nice and the bed very comfortable. Food was good as well as service. They say room service starts at 6:30 am but not true. Kitchen opens then so it took another 15 minutes to get my meal. Room was cold and drafty. Not good weather stripping on door and windows not insulated. It was very cold at night. But the heat did work and I used it!”

• I wasn't very busy.
• Unfriendly check-in staff.

“I was treated coldly and was given the worst room available (a small room with twin beds). I was offered an upgrade for an additional $20. When I asked for a restaurant recommendation in town, I was told "I am not very familiar with this area."”

• Nice pool and spa.
• Hotel staff took 20 minutes to check in.

“Bad trained hotel staff at the counter and they charged me twice. After the third call I'm still waiting for my refund (From Wednesday to Sunday).”

• The staff was very nice.
• For sure was not a 3 star, maybe 1.5 or 2 max.

“The hotel has 2 sections. The "tower" section of the hotel is said to be a 4 star. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were not clean. Blankets had stains and dirt/dust lined the room. Expect same quality as a budget inn. Oh, it is a motel, not a hotel!”

• The beds were comfortable, and the DVD player was nice for my son.
• Staff was rude, not helpful, management did not care when there were problems, and I did not get any respect.

“The whole experience was a nightmare. I have stayed at this hotel before and never had problems before, maybe management changed, who knows, but I had problems right away, my room was dirty. Managers did not seem to care, moved me room but offered no help, made me feel like it was my fault, upper management would not contact me, I have never been treated so badly in my life.”

• The restaurant was superb. The food was incredible!
• The room was small, old, and harmless. It was like a run down motel.

“Everything about the hotel was great except for the courtyard area. Having a room in the courtyard area is like staying at a run down economy motel next to a 3-star hotel on a golf course. You still get to use all the nice facilities and enjoy a phenomenally good restaurant, but you're relegated to a harmless, old, cramped room at the end of the day. All the facilities were extremely well-maintained, and lush greenery of the golf course amidst the harsh desert was wonderful. If we had stayed in the main tower (where I'm assuming the rooms were nice), I'm sure it would have been a great weekend getaway. While checking in, tower guests were picking up free DVD rentals, deceptively suggesting rooms were well equipped. Not in the courtyard. Unfortunately, the 3-star surroundings made the 1-star room more painful to bear. I felt like a trailer park resident witnessing lifestyles of the rich and famous from my cramped trailer. Not even great service or the 4-star food made up for it.”

• VERY courteous staff, quality beds, upscale appointments and quite clean
• A bit off the beaten path, but great if you're near Casa Grande and/or like golf

“A wonderful place to stay in the Highway 8/10 corridor area. Certainly as nice as any Hyatt, Hilton, etc. Good value even if you don't play golf.”
