• The cleanliness of lobby, restaurant, pool, facilities, and fitness room.
• I would have liked a lap lane in the pool.

• Rooms were enormous and very clean. Flat screen TVs in both rooms were a nice bonus.

“Great place to stay, although a little far away from the downtown Scottsdale. This is a 1st class hotel.”

• Great suite that was newly updated, large and very clean. Bed was great!
• Breakfast service was a little slow in the restaurant.

“With scenic views and great landscaping this hotel was a joy to stay at. Recent updating to the rooms is very nice and the beds are fantastic. Not the extra firm slabs you usually get. The new LCD TV's had not been installed in our room yet but are planned. The bathroom was large with separate bath and shower plus a double vanity. We also had a balcony overlooking the golf course, very nice. There is a small airport nearby so if you are in the wing that is closer you may notice the plane noise. We were able to hear it but did not find it distracting as it was intermittent. The pool was nice and large so it never felt over crowded and the sun/lounge chairs had real cushions making them very comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again.”

• Large suite with balcony and nice marble bathroom.
• No close by eateries.

“This hotel is lovely and the suite we had was really nice. It had both a bedroom and separate living room with a balcony. The marble bathroom was nice and well lit, necessary for putting on makeup in the morning.”

• I gave the Hotel/Resort a Five Star Rating
• The only complaint, which I say is small - The menu at the resturant needed a better selection (Hamburger, Pasta, Ribs, etc.)

• Clean, great large rooms/suites and nice pool
• Hard to get to-lots of confusing roads that change names

• The rooms are nice and roomy (a suite) we had a fantastic location right outside the pool and a paitio that opened up to a beautifully landscaped yard.
• The only thing that really I didn't care for was the lack of decorations. It was a pretty blah hotel setting

“The hotel overall was a wonderful value. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The staff was wonderful and we had a wonderful buffet breakfast on the patio overlooking the TPC golf course and the hotels pool.”

• The grounds, entry and rooms were very nice. I felt like we were at a resort. All staff we met were really friendly.
• Slow service poolside and at the restaurant.

“All of the hotel staff was very friendly. The beds were wonderful. The room was very nice. We did not get very good service in the lounge or in the restaurant. The drinks were very expensive. Lots of airplane noise, especially in the morning and evening.”

• service was poor and hotel is in the middle of no where.

“The service at this Hotel was very poor. They seemed to be under staffed in the restaurant and pool area. Service was beyond slow in the restaurant. We had 3 meals there, and it was the same for all. By the pool they left dirty towels and trash around the pool the entire day, no one was picking up as guest left.”

• Slow to pick up room service trays in the hallway

“This hotel offered large clean rooms with patios. Perfect for an Arizona vacation. The pool was nice and the patio near the restaurant was enjoyable. They also had a free pool table outside that was fun to play. Great margaritas at the bar.”

“The Marriott Scottsdale at McDowell Mountain was wonderful. The grounds, lobby, room and pool area were perfect. I really appreciate a clean room that does not have the "hotel" smell to it and the Marriott was perfect. I would definitely go back again for another stay. We frequently travel to the Phoenix area for sports events and medical visits for our daughter on this has been one of my favorite places.”

“High 3 star type.....upscale......next to the Princess not as full as I expected. Located in a business commercial area, which is ok. Looks like many conferences go on there. Charged for local calls, which I did not expect. Also charged for internet speed access, which was a surprise.”
