• Clean, pretty, good location.
• They charged an extra $16.00 per day for services that other hotels provide for nothing!

“I was very unhappy that they charged $16/day surcharge for coffee in the lobby, daily newspaper, overnight parking, the fitness room. I wasn't expecting that fee and didn't use any of those services.”

• Quiet, clean, great location and nicely furnished.
• Nothing at all.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and tastefully decorated and very clean. I was on business travel; however, I was able to relax comfortably without noisy neighbors or outside distractions during the hours that I was in my room.”

• The beds and shower were awesome.
• This was a remote area of Scottsdale, and they charged for parking! Unacceptable.

“At night, this hotel is beautiful. The area in which the hotel is nice, near some other quality resorts that I've also stayed at before. It was a nice room, that was mostly clean, but my main issue is that they charged for parking there. It's not like they are in central Phoenix where space is at a minimum.”

• The service experience was the best possible.
• The location requires a vehicle to get around Scottsdale. A Scottsdale trolley runs to many resorts in the area, but not this one. It was far out.

“This resort exceeds the expectation for the money. It is a terrific value, as Scottsdale is quite an expensive place. It is somewhat aged, but does not show it. The staff at the resort treat you like a CEO. It was one of the best experiences of any Priceline hotel ever booked. The resort fee is somewhat annoying, but it does cover parking, WiFi, and gives access to the fitness center and free bike rental. For the money, it is quite a deal.”

• Felt it needed some updating, upkeep.

“The hotel is nice but I felt that it needed some updating and touching up. This place could be fantastic if it just did a few minor things like what I've suggested. I stay at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge & the Renassiance on Scottsdale road each year and I would not put it at the same resort level as those two places. The Renassaince would be a closer like property but is maintained better.”

• This is not our first time at the resort. It continues to be our only destination in Scottsdale. Even in hot weather the pool is cool.

“The resort is located along a golf course. It is very quiet. The rooms were built in such a way as to be as quiet as my bedroom at home. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The pool area is clean and remained livable in 112 degree heat. Pool side breakfast is something we always take advantage of. They have a nice gym as well.”

• I enjoyed the old hacienda look and feel
• Parts of the hotel could use an update

“The old vines around the inside perimeter need to be chopped off. You could not see out of some windows. While a beautiful hotel, a slight update of some of the areas would keep it in line with other area hotels. Need to consider eliminating the $16 resort fee.”

• The customer service is top notch. NO RESORT FEES! I travel a lot. I have stayed in some of the best resorts. The Scottsdale Princess ROCKS!
• I had to leave and go back to reality.

“Sundays 21 and over Pool Party was a blast. Two other pools are there to use if its not your thing. One is so family friendly with water slides, games and toys at zero extra cost. I am native to Scottsdale. This summer all the resorts are charging RESORT FEES Averaging $25.00. The fee is for "self parking." Not the Scottsdale Princess. You pay $10.00 to Park Valet after 10pm/over night only. YES, thats free valet all day long. FREE SELF PARKING. The customer service is the best. You are treated with total respect while you are there. They are there to serve you. Unlike the JW and many other resorts were they are doing you a favor.”

• It was quiet. There weren't tons of people.
• They charged us two additional fees upon arrival.

“Overall, I thought this hotel was OK. It was clean and quiet, but it definitely wasn't what I expected when I selected resort. They seemed to skimp on the amenities and they charged us a fee to have a room with a king bed and then an additional resort fee - we ended up spending about 50 bucks more than we expected. The resort was nothing to brag about, definitely not worth the extra money.”

• Big room. Comfortable bed. Excellent pool loungers.
• Food on the expensive side.

“Clean throughout. Nice size rooms with comfortable bed. Good atmosphere, causal yet elegant. Sangria's bar has pool tables that you can play on for free! The pool loungers were the most comfortable I've ever been on. Overall, nice clean older but charming facility.”

• Ease in parking at casita.
• Hard, uncomfortable bed, bathroom in disrepair, leaking toilet and dirty.

“I would have preferred a 5 star resort but none were offered. I would expect the very best in quality, service, comfort and amenities. As only the resort category was available, I selected it. The resort designation should be based on the quality of the property not on having the word resort in the hotel's name. This wasn't even close to any resort I've ever stayed in. I would never stay there again and was very sorry I did.”

• Nice large comfortable queen beds, and we needed two in one room.
• Breakfast at the restaurant was not good.

• It was nearly impossible to get ice, we had to go two floors up and down 2 corridors.

• The spaciousness, room amenities and wonderful restaurants were a nice surprise.
• Clean overall, but starting to show some age/wear. Not pristine.

“The bathrooms are starting to show some age, but overall rooms are very luxuriously furnished with wonderful flat screen TVs. The fine dining restaurant experience was comparable or better to other fine resorts. The Sunday brunch was fabulous.”

• Surroundings were beautiful and decor was lovely. Rooms were quiet and were easily accessible.
• No breakfast besides coffee.

• I have stayed here before and it is always friendly, clean and quiet.
• This hotel has very few rooms with King beds. I stayed with a spouse and we had 2 beds.

“Once you find this hotel, it is a bit hidden away, you are well taken care of . The common areas are lush and clean. Gym and spa are excellent. The pool area has a snack bar and restrooms. Try the Jade salad upstairs in the cafe.”

• Staff at main entrance was friendly, golf course view was attractive, juice and coffee free early mornings.
• Housekeeping staff unfriendly, lobby had limited seating, business group set up outside main entrance (not the place), housekeeping banged on door too early.

“Room was sufficient but could have used a little updating. Pool area was too noisy. Hotel/grounds kept clean and staff tried to be helpful. Location was fine.”

• The room was very comfortable and the staff was exceptional.
• I could hear the pool pump from the balcony of my casita.

“Great location with beautiful grounds. Although the rooms are older, they were very comfortable and quiet. Our room had a view over one of the pools and the golf course. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room service food - we only had appetizers - was pretty good, although as you might expect at a resort, a little pricey.”

• Well maintained, a friendly staff, and beautiful landscaping.
• The ice machine is at the far end of the hall and no soft drinks dispenser is close by.

“This was our 2nd stay at the Scottsdale Resort and Inn. The staff exudes friendliness, the grounds are well-maintained, and the rooms are comfortable, albeit a bit dark with only natural light. Dining was expensive, but the food was well-prepared, and the wait-staff most attentive. A non-negotiable daily surcharge covers internet access, exercise facilities, and bicycles. We would stay there again without hesitation.”

• Check in was easy and location was excellent for restaurants and shopping.
• The exercise room needs more machines and equipment considering we pay a resort fee of 16 dollars a day.

• No beach, but that is hard to come by in Arizona.
