“They offered breakfast and a paper in the brochure but specifically declined both. Not friendly.” Oct 27, 2009 by
Kathy from Spiceland,IN
“Friendly staff, great service.” Aug 13, 2009 by
Shannon from Anthem,AZ
“This hotel is beautiful. It is located in the heart of Scottsdale. You are down the street from Scottsdale Fashion Square and in the middle of the best restaurants Scottsdale has to offer. The hotel itself is beautifully upgraded and the grounds include a little something for everyone. Beside the girl at the front desk, the other employees at the hotel are very friendly. They open doors, smile and make sure you are very happy with your stay. The only thing I wish we would of thought of was to remember to bring pool/sand toys. Otherwise, this is an amazing hotel that has something for everyone.” Jun 15, 2009 by
Leneigha from Surprise,AZ
“This was an awesome resort- The Pools here are unbelievable. There is a beach pool with sand and cabanas- very nice. The rooms are very up to date looking, modern and cool. Very happy stay! We loved every minute of it.” Apr 30, 2009 by
Janie from Flagstaff,AZ
“Upscale hotel. Perfect place for a fun weekend away. Pool as amazing. Very relaxing. Overall a stupendous experience.” Apr 27, 2009 by
Lindsay from Brooklyn,NY
“Beautiful hotel. Tucked away from main drag in Scottsdale which is a very good thing. Only downside, place was very crowded since it was the weekend. There was a mix up with our room, we couldn't check in until 4pm or so, and housekeeping thought we were the guests from the night before, and the front desk checked out the room to another set of people in the meantime. Not a big deal but was a little annoying. All of this obviously due to the fact that they were booked solid. Pool was definitely mobbed on Saturday but much better Sunday morning and lovely on Monday. Bathroom was really nice. Room was decent. Double beds are a bit on the small side and King rooms were sold out. Only other thing I would say about this place is that is super family friendly with basketball hoops and such in the pools. The adult pool was good.” Apr 24, 2009 by
Bill M from Incline Village,NV
“The hotel is a very nice resort with great pools, a nice lobby bar and restaurant. It also has a fantastic outdoor area where we could eat, drink and the kids could run around with other kids, a lot of fun. The downside: The Hyatt regency Scottsdale tried to charge a $15. per day resort fee upon check-out.” Apr 13, 2009 by
Leslie from Maple Valley,WA “Friendly staff, beautiful pools, surroundings and close to shopping.” Apr 11, 2009 by
Bret from Henderson,NV

“Exceptional hotel and resort. One of the finest in all of Arizona.” Mar 19, 2009 by
Torry from Yuma,AZ
“We will definitely stay at this hotel again. It was probably one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in. The beds were so comfortable and the pillows perfect. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer to check out all of the amazing amenities!” Mar 18, 2009 by
Lisa from San Diego,CA
“Beautiful hotel, far exceeded our expectations, loved the rain shower head, the robes, the fitness center and the pool. Except for the concierge, all were very friendly.” Mar 17, 2009 by
Danny from Calgary,Canada
“This resort was unreal! They just had a renovation done and it shows. All the common areas are modern and nice. The restaurants are a little pricier. The pool area is amazing and there's even a Gondola along the water ways for couples. The rooms are clean, large and modern. Great resort!” Mar 9, 2009 by
Mindy from Union Grove,WI
“The staff was very helpful. Very friendly! The room was extremely clean. Would stay again.” Mar 9, 2009 by
Neal from Mill Creek,WA
“Great hotel in a great location. Our one objection was the resort fee of $15 per day.” Mar 9, 2009 by
Larry from Warsaw,IN
“This hotel was beautiful with nicely manicured lawns, flowers and trees. The valet service was very helpful parking the car and taking luggage to our room. This caliber of hotel exceeds what we can usually afford.” Feb 19, 2009 by
Leon from Queen Creek,AZ
“The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. This hotel really didn't stand out from any other place we've stayed, and I expected it to because it's a resort and four star hotel.” Feb 16, 2009 by
Ann from Sierra Vista,AZ
“Close to the 101 loop and very beautiful and well maintained.” Feb 15, 2009 by
Paula from Golden Valley,MN

“This hotel was a superior value for the money. Comfortable beds, beautiful pools and the bikes were the best. The added resort fee of $15/day was comparatively reasonable.

Kimberly from Gillette, WY
“This is a beautiful hotel and worth the price.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Lee from Wishon, CA
“A con: they added hidden charges after I checked out. The type of corporation which abuses a trust by adding on hidden charges without disclosing in advance their intent. Just one more disguised as an honorable enterprise. Common bean-counters.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Lisa from Tustin, CA
“The rooms have been remodeled. Very modern. Night stand too small. Bathroom door near impossible to open. Shower heads complicated. not informed upon check in of the resort fee.” Sep 9, 2008 by
Tom from Safford, AZ
“The hotel was very nice and the staff was helpful. Our only complaint is that the hotel charged us a resort fee of $15 which was not disclosed when we purchased our room. They said this fee was to cover the amenities offered by the hotel which we did not have time to enjoy.” Sep 8, 2008 by
Douglas from Dalton, GA
“It is a resort with a resort fee attached to it. No free internet. Hotel was under construction, dusty, lights went out while I was in the shower large complex so a lot of walking to get to the room. Too much.” Sep 7, 2008 by
Erin from Glendale, AZ
“Wonderful hotel!” Sep 4, 2008 by
Christine from Long Beach, CA
“Enjoyed it very much.” Aug 27, 2008 by
Grace from Rimrock, AZ
“This hotel had great features and above what we expected.” Aug 11, 2008 by
Caren from Parker, AZ
“I have to say the staff was excellent kudos to them! The grounds were pretty and the pools were great! The lounges were comfy, food was alright, my angus burger bun was very stale. I didn't like the fact that I was right next to the renovation but I have to say I would have not known because they didn't make any noise. My room was ok. I guess that is why they are renovating? I did notice stains on my bedding however they were small but stains none the less so I call the desk and they offered me a new room or to have the linens changed, I choose to have the linens changed I liked the view from the room I had. The morning I was to check out I conveniently found my check out bill, (we had ordered room service) and I was charged with resort fees that I wasn't aware that I would incur. I can't say enough about how excellent the staff was!” Aug 2, 2008 by
Patsy from Yuma, AZ
“It is lovely, clean and has beautiful surrounds. It was being renovated while we were there this time so it was noisy and we didn't have hot water. We don't like paying resort fees when all we use is the room and possibly the restaurant.” Aug 2, 2008 by
Ryan from Prescott Valley, AZ
“No hot water one night. No microwave or frig. Popcorn ceiling! Room no where near 4 star rating. Ice machine was broken. Elevators where down. Same type of problems with Hyatt years ago in San Diego, this time in Scottsdale.” Jul 28, 2008 by
Bill from Tatum, NM
“This was one of the best stays that I have had in a long time. The hotel was under construction, but they did everything to not to disturb the guest. The pool was fantastic. The lobby bar with the Jazz band in the evening was great.” Jul 27, 2008 by
Erika from Portland, OR
“I will definitely try to stay at this resort again; it was beautiful, great location relative to my meetings, nice restaurants nearby (Bloom!), and bad gym facility. Amazing! Also, I liked that a scale was in the bathroom, kept me on track during my business trip.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Michael from Yuma, AZ
“I recently to stay at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale, Arizona. I have stayed at this property once previously earlier this year and had a wonderful experience. This is not the case regarding my latest visit. I arrived at the hotel at 6:00 pm and attempted to check in using the automated check-in. The machine said that no rooms were available, but I figured that it was an error. I went to the front desk to be greeted by the most condescending desk clerk I had ever encountered. He told me that there were no rooms at the moment because they were being cleaned. They had a big conference check in and they took all of the available rooms. He offered me a free continental breakfast, which upon looking at the coupon did not amount to much. I had an appointment at 7:30 pm, so I left my phone number with him so he could call me when my room was available. I asked him if there was definitely going to be a room available and he assured me that there would. Five minutes later he called me to inform me that there were no more rooms and I would have to stay down the road at The Gainey Suites. He assured me that The Gainey Suites was a 4 star property with great accommodations. I was infuriated by the fact that I was being forced to move and that some moron had overbooked the hotel. There are a finite number of rooms. I feel that I was treated like trash because I was not with some conference. A hotel has never treated me so rudely. I had an appointment to keep so I begrudgingly accepted the room at the Gainey Suites. The room was nowhere near the quality of room that I would have received at the Hyatt. There was a strange pipe over the bathtub that would drip about a cup full of ice-cold water into the bathtub at random. This happened once while my fiance was bathing.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Kathy from Henderson, NV
“This hotel was a great experience from the moment we checked in. It was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were lovely and well maintained. Room service was not overpriced, it was delivered promptly and beautifully prepared. Beds were comfortable, fully stocked mini-bar. Absolutely a delightful experience.” Jul 22, 2008 by
Theresa from Flagstaff, AZ
“We have stayed at this hotel two times now because for the price of a 4 star hotel we love the relaxing atmosphere. The pool area is relaxing for a couple or comfortable for a family who what a safe place for the kids to play. One end of the pool has a beach type feel to it, which makes it entertaining for families.” Jul 22, 2008 by
Elaine from Kingman, AZ
“Excellent hotel I am sure but they are in the middle of redoing the hotel. There were screens around construction sites and one elevator was down. We had to walk to the other end of the hotel or carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. Then for whatever reason we had no warm water the morning we checked out.” Jul 20, 2008 by
Terry from Chalfont, PA
“Gainey Hyatt is beautiful and the remodeling project. I just wish they would not charge for internet - even though we are on vacation, we both need to check email for work. The Hampton, Holiday Express, Days Inn, etc. (lower end properties) all offer internet for free.” Jul 20, 2008 by
Lloyd from San Diego, CA
“What a hotel. Truly sensational. The food at the casual restaurant was the best! Staff went out of their way to help.” Jul 17, 2008 by
Tammy from Apache Junction, AZ
“It was nice, I was in the area where they were doing construction, so everything I needed as far as room service took forever and some things got forgotten, probably because of the area I was in.” Jul 17, 2008 by
John from Palm Springs, CA
“It was essentially perfect. Lovely rooms, the most comfortable bed, a terrific bath room, excellent lighting. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. My only complaint is the "activity fee".” Jul 10, 2008 by
Carol from Scottsdale, AZ
“Beautiful, luxurious, great staff and services.”
