• Suite layout.
• Strong smell in room due to renovations.

“Convenient, yet parts of the hotel were dirty due to renovation. Loud hammering during day next door to our room. Alarm clock next door went off loudly at 2:30am. It took security about 15 minutes to respond and turn it off, which meant it took another 30 minutes for us to go back to sleep. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.”

• The hotel is located in the heart of old town Scottsdale. Very Nice.
• Temporarily under construction. But a short term problem.

“This hotel had a very friendly staff, very clean rooms and nice overall amenities. This hotel is located in the heart of old town Scottsdale and one block from an upscale shopping mall. The nightlife surrounding the hotel is very much alive as many upscale nightclubs are within walking distance.”

“I travel extensively for work and usually try to frequent hotel chains that I have used in the past, and this was no exception. This hotel however was a favorable exception. The staff was familiarly professional and efficient, and all of the usual amenities were present, however, they were just a step above the norm. Bath and Body works lotions, shampoo, bubble bath; separate shower and bath with well appointed tile in the spacious bath area, a separate vanity area in between the bedroom and bath gave me the feeling of being in an apartment rather than a hotel room. While I was traveling alone, there was more than enough sleeping accommodations for a normal 4 person family. I would suggest eating in the dining area adjacent to the lobby. The service continues until 10:30 PM and the food is not only well priced and proportioned for the area, most importantly; DELICIOUS. There were two things that I did find that brought my overall score for this property down: 1. If I am a Gold Elite Marriott member, why do I have to pay $10 for 24hrs of Internet connection or for more than three local phone calls? Those should be standard, and usually are at the other Marriott properties that I have stayed at.2. The property is off the main road, in between the two cross streets, and there is little sign age to let a person new to the area find the property. I had a GPS as this was the first time to visit Scottsdale, and I almost missed the entrance even though the GPS said I was within ""300 feet on the right"". Despite two minor negative comments, the place is fantastic. ”

• Professional Friendly Staff, Wonderful Suites, Beautiful Luxurious Room
• Bottled water in fridge would cost $4.00 if opened, Local calls were not free.

“This hotel exceeded my expectations, I will be singing its praises even more. Formal, gorgeous lobby and friendly staff greet you when you walk in, and a luxurious suite greets you in your room. A garden tub, separate shower, toilet area and dressing area makes it feel more like a master suite at home than a hotel. This room was separated into a parlor area with a sofa bed and Murphy bed, from the wall and a bedroom area, with a king size bed and own television set. This made the perfect room for a family vacation.”

• Little far from work, but worth the drive.

• The suites were just beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable, unlike many other hotel beds.

“It was just really a wonderful stay from the first to the last minute. At the Marriott Suites I was treated like any guest. All of the personnel were friendly and professional. And I was absolutely in love with the quality of the bed. It was so comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the pool temperature just right. I would go there again anytime.”

• Convenient location and lots of free, underground (and therefore, shaded) parking. Early checkin and late checkout great.

“Old Town within blocks. Lots of free shaded, underground parking. Early check-in and late check-out avaiable. (I got in at noon and out at 2 p.m. for no additional charge.)Rooms are nicely laid out with French doors to separate bedroom from living room and tons of additional bed space (pull-down bed on wall of living room, plus, I believe, a sofa bed too).Pool is just okay. Small, but clean. Pool patio is adequate but certainly not ornate.It's basically geared toward the no-nonsense business traveler who wants a nice room, good location, easy parking, and adequate pool.Didn't try restaruants, business center, fitness, etc.”

“What a gorgeous hotel! My fiance and I stayed here for a summer vacation and I was constantly blown away by its luxury, especially the marble bathrooms. My fiance spent most mornings playing golf, on what he said were some of the best courses he's played on. I'm not much of a golfer so I decided to use my mornings to enjoy the spa. I had a massage, and facial, both of which were delightful. At night we walked to old Scottsdale and enjoyed the romance of this city. It was a wonderful vacation and a perfect place to stay.”

“These guest rooms at the Marriott Scottsdale Old Town are great because they provide you with a living room, bedroom and -let me tell you- an oversized beautiful marble bath. I didn't even want to leave the comfort of my own guest room but since Old Town Scottsdale is said to be so beautiful I decided to venture out of my beautiful room and see what the talk was all about. Sure enough, the town was fascinating. I really enjoyed walking around the town looking at all the little shops and what they had to offer. At the end of the day I returned to the hotel to enjoy some good old American cuisine in the hotel restaurant and then relaxed in the whirlpool.”

“I was visiting a friend at ASU so I stayed here because of its close proximity. Not only is Old Town Scottsdale beautiful but so is this hotel. An added bonus about this hotel was being able to walk from my room into the lobby where Starbucks was located, how convenient! The city takes your breath away with the natural beauty it gives off and the hotel embarks on this beauty with its old fashioned art work yet elegant appeal. Staying at the hotel for just a few days really left an impression of the town's beauty and friendly atmosphere.”

• The neighborhood was very loud, especially late at night. I could not sleep well.

“The hotel and location in the area was excellent. My stay would have been outstanding if the neighbors were not so loud. There were loud cars throughout the day and night. The neighbors partied into the morning hours with shouting, laughing and unrecognizable noises. I found it impossible to sleep both nights from 1:30-3:00 a.m.”

“I had a wonderful stay...however when I first spoke to a man at the hotel to request a non smoking room, he made me feel like a low class person and would not help me. I called the 800# and was treated with the up most respect...after that when ever I called the property I was treated with the up most respect.”

• I liked its place a lot. It really located in a very beautiful area. The parking below the hotel (basement ) and the room was spacious and organized.
• The breakfast starts only after 7:00 which delayed us for the show we attended.

“Since they keep getting complaints about the leaf blowers, The hotel needs to pursue a change in City Ordinance. Staff said it was a neighboring property. Otherwise, our stay was comfortable.”
