• Beautiful!
• Small bathroom.

“The rooms were very nice and the bathroom was very nice, just very small. It was difficult to make sure my 5 year old was OK in the bath without opening the door and hitting the shower. It was a very tight squeeze. Other than that, the hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly. I would go back.”

• Lobby was nice.
• I was promised a king bed with pool view and ended up with 2 queens.

“The front desk staff do not know the rules for Priceline customers. I was trying to surprise my new husband with a romantic getaway and called ahead to make sure that if we didn't already have a king bed, that I would pay to upgrade, if possible. The man said we had a king. When Dave went in to check in, he had to pay $35 to upgrade! (He is a tall guy and needs a big bed!) I don't mind paying to upgrade but I wanted to know ahead of time!”

• Very pretty hotel.
• They made us sleep in separate beds. We are a married couple.

“Attractive hotel, but they charged us an up charge just to have a queen bed. The room we were given had 2 full size beds, this was supposed to be a romantic evening.”

• Well-appointed. Beautiful facility in a great location.
• There was a large reception one evening that closed the pool area.

“Very nice facility. The only negative was not having access to the main hotel pool due to a large reception that was scheduled. Alternative pool access arrangements were made for the adjacent Villas property but this was not convenient. We actually paid an additional $30.00 per night for a room upgrade to take advantage of the pool but did not have access.”

• It was a lovely hotel, nice room, location, pool, etc.
• Felt a bit taken by having to upgrade to get a king size bed.

“The Scottsdale Hilton is in a very convenient location on Scottsdale Road, which is central to everything. The hotel is large, beautifully appointed, and the room we had was too. The room was nicely decorated and included some nice touches. We enjoyed our stay of 2 nights there.”

“Staff was professional and pleasant. The home-made cookies and fruit punch in the lobby and at poolside were an unexpected surprise. In short, this stay far exceeded our expectations.”

• They tried to up sale us when we arrived.

“I called the hotel to confirm our reservations and request a king bed. They confirmed everything but when we arrived they tried to upscale us for an additional 20.00 to 30.00 more per night for a king size bed. When we did not upgrade they placed us in a handicap room.”

“The hotel elevator was dirty with trash every time I used it. Valet used the prime parking spots. Parking for non-valet is very limited.”

• Lobby and pool areas were very attractive. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
• Hedge trimming began at 6:00 am nearby our room, making it hard to finish a good night's sleep.

“A classy facility with excellent service. From the Front desk staff meeting us with bottles of chilled water (when we walked in from the unseasonably warm day) to the hotel manager interviewing us after check-out, we felt pampered. Greatly enjoyed the pool area both at night while relaxing and the next morning over coffee. We just had a light lunch out by the pool but understand that the restaurant is outstanding according to several friends who frequently travel to the Scottsdale area. Would stay here again in a heart-beat!”

• Nice pool.
• Stains on carpet.

“I was quite disappointed with this hotel. The carpet had bad stains (from the previous guest, I would presume). When we checked in, the carpet was still wet from housekeeping apparently trying to remove them. We could hear the people in the room above get into and out of bed. There was an adjoining room with a door between the rooms. It was exceptionally loud, especially the morning the gentleman next door had upper respiratory issues. Very nice pool and the hotel is in a great location, with free parking.”

• The operator was terrific to us when we called for the concierge and he/she was out.
• Would like a small refrigerator to keep water bottles cool without having to go get ice.

“This hotel is in a great central location for the Phoenix area tourist. It's very lovely, clean, comfortable--to the point of being ever so soothing after a day of sightseeing, driving and baseball spring training! You don't have to worry about the area when you're out at night, everything is close by and you can feel safe. And definitely we felt pampered!”

• All the areas were clean and very comfortable.
• The restaurant had slow service on the morning.

“This hotel was perfect for our business group. We were a short 30 minutes drive to downtown PHX and close to everything in Scottsdale. The lobby was very comfortable with the fire place burning. The desk staff
was for helpful and quick in getting us in and out. Everything was very clean and in its place. Parking was very close and convenient to the front entry.”

• The water in the shower was never warmer than lukewarm bordering on cold.

“The staff was very accomodating. The pool was nice, clean and had a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. The room was comfortable and had a normal thermostat that kept the temperature just right.”

• Nice hotel, good location. Nice place to take a week off and enjoy.
• My stay was very noisy, people running and screaming well into the wee hours. One couple screaming and arguing at 5 am.

“Nice place to stay, good location, excellent restaurants nearby. Beautiful decor at htoel, and pool. Only issue was that the rooms are not well noise insulated. People we screaming and running up and down halls into the wee hours of the morning. These were not children but young adults. Maybe it was just the guests that were there at the time and is not typical of every night.”

• Requested room near pool due to husband handicapped given room near but door to pool was locked refused to open husband could not us pool very unhappy.
• Staff should have helped unlock door to pool or given us an allowance since we were unable to use pool.

“Hotel is beautiful but the problem with the pool and not helping my husband who needed to use the Jacuzzi for his back was ridiculous. Would give them another chance at a future visit if they would give us a free nights stay. One night and we would pay for the second night and they would give us a room with access to the pool no locked door.”

• Upon arrival, a staff member backed into our automobile. The staff member did not even offer an apology.

“This was not the vacation we expected. Small pool with no poolside waits staff. The bathrooms were also extremely small. Most importantly, the staff was unresponsive/unapologetic after backing into our vehicle.”

• There are hidden charges for everything, so make sure you check your final bill before paying.

“comfy beds with lots of pillows and comforters, beautiful pool area with big cushions on the lounge chairs, buffet breakfast a little expensive but perfect for a light breakfast to start the day. Staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• It's nice and clean. It's a Hilton!
• They automatically charge an additional $15 to every room for services that I did not even use!

“The hotel was nice. But they charged me an additional $15 (which they say is for every room) for services which I did not use nor was I planning on using them. This was very disappointing! I never have had this problem before.”

• Not as romantic as I would have liked for a getaway.

“This stay at the Hilton was horrible. I selected a four star and felt like I was at a 2 star. The pool not only needed tile repair in several locations but was dirty with large amounts of bugs everyday. I want to know how often they sweep the pool for bugs, I do not believe it is more then once a day if even that. We ordered food at the pool, finished and went up stairs came back over 3 hours later the plates remained where we left them. The most shocking thing is our worst experience at this Hilton. That experience came when we opened a bar tab our first evening there and were told they would keep it open until midnight while we enjoyed the pool area, they closed it out before we tried at 11 pm. The best part was not only that they close it out without us approving it but they charged us for a half bottle of wine when we had only 2 glasses and added their choice of gratuity. We were credited back a $6 difference the day of check out but it was not the money it was the principal of the matter. They charged us for a menu item we did not request or receive and then decided what they felt was a proper gratuity. That is horrible, horrible customer service and they should be ashamed of themselves. This is not a 4 star hotel, I would give it no more then a 2 star rating.”

“On my first night at the hotel, I got into bed and found it to be occupied with several red-dark brown beetles. I changed rooms at 2am and got to sleep about 3am. The next day I came back to my room around 8pm and found that my room had not been serviced. The beds were unmade there was no coffee or toiletries replaced. I went to the reception to discuss this and they told me that they had forgot! They said that housekeeping would come up to the room while we were out at dinner. On return to my room only shampoo had been replaced. Still no coffee and beds were still unmade! I gave up after this. I did not have a good experience at this hotel.”

• The pool was nice and warm.
• The shower looked like mold was growing, I asked the maid to clean it which she tried, but it didn't come off.

“The hotel was a beautiful place and the location was nice, but our room was disgusting. The shower was black all over (moldy looking) the maid tried to clean it but she needed more time to do it. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.”

• Nice pool, comfortable bed, nice staff.
• They charge you an extra $15/day for "resort fees" behind your back.

“It's a lovely hotel, the location is really convenient, the bed is incredible, the staff is very polite . They forced charged me an extra $15/day for resort fees!!! For this reason I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.”

• The pool, the pool bar, and he lobby. The room smelt great too.
• The breakfast was a little over priced..

“My wife and I went on a long weekend and picked this hotel because of it's price. We both loved it. Nice, clean pool. Great staff. The bartender at the pool was awesome. He hooked me and my wife up on drinks, and was a cool guy to talk too. The hotel room was simple, but nice.. We have stayed at other 4 stars that DO NOT COMPARE at all to this hotel. We plan on coming back soon. The best thing about Scottsdale is the mall. It is the land of beautiful people. Big fakes all over that place.. :) Happy traveling.”
