• The staff and check in was very accommodating.
• Just slightly too big, my room was not difficult to find, but I could see how some could be.

“Lady at the front desk was very helpful and was diligent in accommodating my request for a room close to the pool and close to parking. Definitely a resort hotel, nice grounds.”

• Needs to upgrade carpets.

“We stayed over Thanksgiving Holiday. Many options were available for Holiday dining. Shopping for the day after Thanksgiving was awesome, Scottsdale mall was minutes away. Nice rooms and excellent design, needed new carpets in rooms, otherwise everything was great.”

• Two swimming pools and the spread out, comfortable layout was wonderful!

“Doubletree was a delight to stay at! It appeared that staff was well trained to be polite and friendly. Layout of the hotel allowed the freedom to roam and stretch out a bit among it's beautiful grounds, catus garden, ring fountain, 2 pools, pretty lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel.”

• The large sliding glass door and patio allowed us to enjoy outdoors easily from the room.
• The room was smaller than expected, and the cost for a bottle of water in the bar was extreme.

• We faced the parking lot - still gorgeous!

“The hotel was extremely clean. The staff in the restaurants, bar and cleaning areas were fantastic! The concierge was quick to help us with getting around as well as obtaining fantastic tickets to a baseball game. The pool was extremely clean and beautiful. I had zero issues with our entire stay.”

“from the time we drove up we noticed the beautiful fountain and well mancured grounds. Inside the decor was serene and lovely to look at.Our room was very spacious with a queen size bed adorned all in white..it turned out to be very comfortable as well. It was our first stay but not our last. Sincerely, Carroline Durbin”

• The staff was very pleasant.
• The rooms were dirty and dated.

“This hotel needs a complete overhaul. We had to switch rooms 2 times because there was mold on the shower walls and stains on the carpet.
It was a 100 + degrees and the bar at the pool never opened. They had one waiter that walked around the pool 1 time in 2 hours.”

• Extremely spacious, luxurious, well-kept and comfortable room.

“The hotel is a great value for the luxury that one receives from all the accommodations. Front desk and bell staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was very large and quiet. Very modern and tranquil accommodations in both the bedroom and bath. Loved the property. A must if staying in Scottsdale.”

• That it is open; you can access the hotel rooms from many different entrances.

• Large pool areas, one for adults and one for kids.
• Poor parking, no towels available in the early morning for swimming.

“Great hotel in the heart of Scottsdale. Close to everything. Nice grounds with two large pool areas, one for adults and one for kids. Rooms were clean and updated, but nothing special. The hotel grounds have lots of mature trees and are very well kept. The staff is friendly and they give you warm cookies on check in. But they're not very quick to provide clean towels for a swim in the morning. Overall this is a very nice hotel one of the best values in the Scottsdale area. You have to pay a lot more to get a significantly higher level of hotel.”

• The restaurant and restaurant staff were great. They have nice amenities with two pools, putting green and playground. Beautiful grounds.
• We forgot our cell phone in the room after we checked out and never got it back. Staff stole it.

“The experience at the hotel was amazing other than the cell phone incident. Also, the parking is not very close or convenient to the rooms. We had a baby and lots of luggage and had to take multiple trips and stairs to get to our room. Just not the most convenient.”

• The room was big and the beds had lots of pillows!
• No free breakfast, had to pay $10/day for internet that wasn't even wireless.

“I was very disappointed to be at a 4 star hotel and 1: not have a free breakfast - we could have stayed at a 2 star and had at least bagels and cereal! 2: They charged $10/day for internet access that wasn't even wireless! During our stay that's almost as much as I would pay for an entire month of internet at home! Again, a 2 star would have provided this for free. I was very disappointed that a higher star would have less benefits.”
