• The toilets had the power flush feature. That was the best thing in this hotel.
• No wireless access in the room, could not work from the couch in the room, needed updating.

“This was my 2nd visit to this location. The first time I stayed I was not impressed. I felt like everyone that wanted to help me was more interested in the tip versus actually helping a hotel guest. This 2nd visit was worse. The bed and pillows where uncomfortable and I did not get my request for a king size. The couch was stained that grossed me out. I just couldn't get anyone at the front desk to try and accommodate me or make me feel like I wasn't bothering them. I felt the prices for the amenities was highway robbery. The water pipes in the walls where banging once hot water began to flow for the shower or sink. Starbuck coffee filter in the room was $6.50. A small bag of choc chip cookies was $4.50. A bottle of water was $6.50. I will not stay at this hotel ever again.”

• Overall an expansive of the resort.
• The traffic/speed cameras on Lincoln and thru Scottsdale/paradise valley.

“The camelback inn is a very large, spread out resort with one and two story buildings spread out across the property. Due to the renovation we didn't get to see the lobby or many of the restaurants, which explains why we got the low price we did. The rooms are very roomy and have a refrigerator separate from the mini bar fridge. Some rooms have glass inserts in the showers allowing the sun to filter in a nice touch. Again we didn't get the full resort experience due to the construction, but from what I saw, I would like to return once the renovation is complete.”

“I go to Arizona a lot and this was my first time at this Marriott. I really liked it. The views were great and they gave us a room with a 1000sq. Ft. Sun deck! That really made my day.”

• Fabulous Scottsdale feeling with gorgeous scenery, great pool, fabulous location and pool. Loved it.
• I don't have a complaint.

“The camelback Marriott is an exceptional experience. Located on the north side of the camelback mountains. It is in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood with lush, natural landscape. The rooms are extraordinarily comfortable. We will be back. What a treat!”

• Great location with excellent buffet breakfast. Pool was wonderful. I had a maternal massage which was excellent.
• One of the staff at the concierge was not very friendly when I asked advice about local drives. However all other staff was great.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and had nice decor. We liked that there was a dock for our i-pods/i-phones so we were able to charge them and listen to music in the room. We do recommend hiring a car if staying in the area more than 3 days as you can try out the local restaurants instead of being limited to just the jack rabbit restaurant for dinner. The pool was great and my 2 year old learnt how to swim on her own for the first time there. We had the buffet breakfast every morning which was wonderful. We ate dinner at a great Japanese restaurant nearby. It's in the shopping/restaurant village area opposite the Hilton on Scottsdale rd. We did drive to the cave creek area but found it pretty boring and touristy. The playground is very average and could do with a few swings and other equipment. I had a maternal massage at the spa which was fabulous and the spa itself was very luxurious.”

“Overall this hotel is very nice. Really spread out and well laid out. There was some construction going on but it didn't really disturb us much. Also, if you don't like to walk make sure you get a room close to the pool or lobby. Each room has a balcony.”

• Best hotel fitness center Ive ever visited. Rooms, staff, pool, restaurant were also excellent.
• Downtown Scottsdale and camelback golf course are not within walking distance.

• Hotel is under renovation. Our room was an older room with no renovations that were much needed.

“This is a great hotel however it is going through massive renovations and will be nice once it is done. Our room was charming and wonderful however it was sadly in need of new carpeting and updates. I would definitely stay here again but was disappointed in the quality of the room.”

• Gorgeous place, despite the construction of the new lobby.
• Expensive internet access, no cell phone reception in the room.

“This resort is gorgeous, with a great pool and friendly staff. The only downside is the 'business' amenities. Maybe because the lobby was under construction, but the 'business room' was a single computer with no seating. Then a bigger problem is lack of cell phone reception in the rooms. We had a mobile and a singular phone with us and neither worked, but if you stepped out it was ok.”

• Rooms where below grade for a JW Marriott.

“This is a JW Marriott in name only. The rooms where dark with low ceilings. Corian counter tops, Formica cabinets and Moen faucets are not the stuff a JW Marriott is made of. The food was also not up to the JW standards. If you go, lower your expectations to a Hilton garden inn that was built 60 years ago.”

• The hotel was beautifully decorated in southwestern theme. Very clean!
• Things are very spaced out on property. We were able to use our car to get around.

“The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Very roomy and nice spacious bathroom. Very relaxing area. The only thing, it is really not in walking distance of downtown Scottsdale, but it was very easy to get there with our car and didn't have to worry about parking issues.”

• It was private and located in beautiful surroundings.
• This resort was not as luxurious as one would expect a resort to be.

“It was nice, clean and quaint, but not at all the level one would expect of a resort. The rooms were great for sound - not hearing everyone else around you (in- or outdoors). The theme of the resort was southwestern, if you like that kind of décor'.”

• Layout of rooms, super friendly staff, comfortable beds and great bathtubs, nice heavy robes, wonderful food.
• I'm pretty picky and I was fully satisfied with this hotel.

“I travel a lot! I was very happy with this hotel. It's been remodeled and it's very clean. The food was delicious and the layout of the rooms was very private. I would recommend this hotel as a 3 star plus almost a 4 star location. I really appreciated that the beds were so comfortable and the rooms really quiet.”

• The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms were beautiful and very clean, and the pool was beautiful.
• There is nothing I can say that I did not like about this hotel.

• Friendly, helpful service. Felt treated like royalty.
• The room was not what we expected. We were under the belief we had a suite with a king-sized bed and living room, not a single hotel room.

• Beautiful surroundings, close to downtown Scottsdale.
• They gave us two double beds for a romantic weekend.

“The room was very nice, even though we were given two double beds for a romantic getaway. Great quick service at the pool. Drains at the pool were 8-10 each. Room service banged on our door at 7am and woke us up the first morning of our stay and we had not ordered anything. We told a bellman, and he arranged for breakfast on them the next morning. Overall well worth what we paid.”

“What a pleasure! From the moment we drove onto the property, it was paradise. Even with the construction, you were never disturbed. The room was always clean and turn down service was wonderful. • This resort was very private-each casita has a patio and the pool was awesome (also 24 hours/day!).
• I didn't really dislike anything-they had construction going on, but they covered it up well.

“I gave 10's for everything, except the room got a nine. The only reason is because it wasn't the "nicest most elaborate" room Ive ever stayed in, but the room was really cute and had a lot of character-very southwest themed. The smallest room they have is 550 sq ft-which is pretty big. It had a kitchenette and a great patio with a view of Camelback Mountain. The bathroom itself was a great size but the tub was a little small (no romantic baths for two, but with the remodel, maybe they will update those). The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were the quality thread count you'd expect from a resort. We ordered room service and they said it would be 30 minutes and it was at our room in 15. Food was excellent and they threw in some big warm cookies for free. The pool though was our favorite part. We liked it by day, but it was a little crowded. We loved it at night! It's a 24 hour pool, it's lit very nicely and people weren't checking on you every 30 minutes. Also, this hotel is about 10 minutes away from Old town Scottsdale-with their many bars and restaurants, so there is a ton to do at your fingertips. We were very sad to leave.”

• Excellent service from staff, beautiful pool area, nice clean private rooms.
• Only negative was the restaurant (hopping jack's) was overpriced for the quality of the meal (evening dinner).
