• Loved that it was located by dozen or eateries and shopping, very close to everything-great location!
• Room could have been cleaner and needed to ask for pillows, etc.

• The breakfast buffet for the price.

“I would say the hotel was very nice, staff very friendly, but I was very disappointed in the breakfast buffet. The price they show on the stand in front, shows the price for the continental portion of the buffet, but does not say that. It is very deceiving. Overall, $25 for two little breakfast buffets was a bit much! I will not use their restaurant again. I will stay with Marriott, just not utilize breakfast.”

• It was in a very nice, up-scale area of Chandler.
• Airconditioner did not work well.

“The hotel was great except for the fact that the air conditioner didn't work (77 degrees in the room) and I called the front desk after midnight to see if they would give us another room and they wouldn't. They insisted on having a maintenance person come and fix it. I complained in the morning to a manager and she gave us free breakfasts. A small prize for a horrible night of sleep. Otherwise, the place is in a great place. Lots of great places to eat.”

• I liked the location to the freeway, shopping and restaurants. The main thing for me was that it was clean.
• For the first time there was a lot of activity above our room which was a bit noisy.

“I stayed last year at this same time and will probably be here next year. I could probably get a room closer to Mesa, which is where we go each year, however I prefer this hotel and will hope for it each time. The hotel is very friendly and clean and has large rooms with very comfortable beds.”

• The room was very spacious and clean.
• Did not like that I had to purchase aspirin from the market. Was hoping they could just give it to me at the front desk.

• Everyone was friendly. When the air conditioner did not work, a service person that was also very friendly came right away and fixed it.
• I found that some of the hotel staff was not as knowledgeable as I would have liked.

“The staff was friendly and helpful. Even though it was not an Elete hotel, you felt that you were staying in one. It was Elete on a small scale. The rooms and all corridors where very clean. The pool and Jacuzzi was clean and the courtyard was beautiful. The location was very convenient with great restaurants in walking distance. I will look to stay in another courtyard Marriott on my next trip.”

“This is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at! Everyone was so friendly and we were within walking distance of 30 restaurants and upscale shopping! I was so impressed with the rooms and the beds that I actually called Marriott and purchased one of their beds for my homes will definitely stay here again!”

• Location was good.
• I did not get the room I reserved. Had to sleep on uncomfortable rollaway bed.

“Arrive early to ensure you get the type of room you reserved. They have an overbooking policy, so late arrivals get whatever is left. I had to sleep on a very uncomfortable rollaway bed. Calling ahead doesn't help. The location is good for traveling through phoenix. Not at all noisy, even though it is close to interstate.”

• The hotel was quiet and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
• I was not informed about any dining. I saw a dining room but was not sure who or what it was for.

• The hotel was conveniently located, easy to find, close to the fwy, clean.
• The buffet breakfast was nice, but a bit overpriced for modest "eaters."

• No refrigerator.

“Clean, easy to find, great showers. Within walking distance to Sam's Club, Borders Bookstore, Tyros, a barber shop, a lamp store, a furniture store, and several other small stores.”

• The beds are heavenly.
• No refrigerator in room.

“The grounds were very well kept and the staff was very courteous. There was some loud activity at the pool, but after 11:00 it quieted down. Great location.”

• Heated swimming pool.
• The Jacuzzi was broke the whole time we were there.

“The hotel was clean and nice and friendly. They were doing some remodeling which was a little annoying, but not too bad. The Jacuzzi was broke the whole 3 days we were there. That was very disappointing. The main reason we went to Chandler was to swim and use the Jacuzzi, so part of our plan was ruined.”

• Easy freeway access, rich looking furniture, friendly staff, complimentary fresh water, fruit and cookies in lobby.
• We were told continental breakfast was complimentary. When we learned it wasn't, they didn't charge us, although we'd already eaten.

• They have a beautiful pool area surrounded by a lovely garden, and the jacuzzi was very nice.
• I would have liked a soap dish by the sink.

• It was clean and it had a great location
• I asked for a non-smoking room and they gave me a smoking room.

“Well before arrival I asked if I was to be given a non-smoking room (due to my terrible asthma and allergies) and they said yes I would get a non-smoking room. As soon as I got off the elevator a noticed an odor, but assumed that it was from the cleaning of the carpet. After I had unpacked, showered and got settled in, I started to smell cigarette smoke from the room next door. I called downstairs to ask if I was given a non-smoking room and the gentleman said that I was given a non-smoking room but it was on a smoking floor. Since I was ready to leave for my prior engagement I did not switch rooms. When returning back to the hotel (with the elevator broken) I ended up walking the entire hallway from the other side of the facility; meanwhile, noticing that certain doors of the hotel had an actual non-smoking label on the outside. When I approached my room, I noticed that my door did NOT have a non-smoking label on the door. At this point I felt mislead and cheated of what could have been a great experience.”

• Mattress and pillows were poor quality. Coffee cup was not clean.

“Room was comfortable but had problems with the shower and sink drain that were corrected by staff. Some of the free services (high speed internet access) impressed us for the price of the hotel. Overall a great value.”
