• Very nicely decorated room. Cherry furniture. Very comfortable. Shuttle driver was excellent.
• Bit of a walk to get to room.

“We stayed near airport to catch an early flight. We were very surprised at the quality of the hotel. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the breakfast and the room.”

• Bathroom fixtures are rather aged.

“This hotel (with trademark doubletree chocolate chip cookies on arrival) is located conveniently for airport commutes. The shuttle to the airport is prompt and courteous, the hot breakfast buffet included in the price of the room is excellent, and the rooms are equipped with microwaves and small refrigerators. All hallways are exterior, and the pool is outdoors also.”

“We totally enjoyed our stay. The hotel allowed us to leave our vehicle at the hotel while we went on vacation and provided transportation to and from the airport. We would highly recommend!”

• The room was a suite. The blanket was down. Towels luxurious.
• Furnishings in room were "older" but nice.

“The doubletree, phoenix airport is attractive and well located. The atrium and pool are lovely and inviting. The elevators are glass for a great view. Many rooms are suites. The bed and bedding are excellent. The towels are luxurious. Room service great. Food medium-high in taste and service. We would willingly return and recommend.”

• No rooms with 2 queen sized beds only pull out sofa.

“I loved this hotel! The suites are wonderful, but they only have king size beds in the bedroom and a pull out sofa for the 2nd bed.”

• The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. It was a much secured facility with a very safe atmosphere.
• I was very much pleased with everything. However they could add more to their breakfast buffet.

• I loved the service and attention from fresh cookies to a spotless room. I felt pampered.
• Charged for internet (although business center was free!).

“I highly, highly recommend this hotel. The separate bedroom suite was incredible. The room was spotless, linens were nice, and it even had a kitchenette. This would be perfect for families. I wish I hadn't been traveling alone, just to get more use out of it! Plus, they have a free warm buffet breakfast. Wow> I can't remember the last time I got that. And warm cookies when you check in. The pool and Jacuzzi were nice, and of course, for the airport location it can't be beat! A++++.”

• The free shuttle service to the airport and free full breakfast buffet was greatly appreciated.
• Could hear plumbing from all of our neighbors.

“The service provided by the front desk was very friendly and professional. They were very willing to help and offer whatever they could. The hotel is beautifully designed and the breakfast that is provided every morning was incredible. We were also very thankful for the airport shuttle service. We were able to ride the shuttle to the airport to see my brother off and then return to the hotel on the shuttle without worrying about directions and parking.”

• I did not like the size of the bathroom door (although it was a handicapped room).

“I thought the hotel was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was neat and accommodating, and we even received a complimentary buffet breakfast. I thought the hotel was great!”

• Hotel staff was very helpful in getting us directions around town, and finding dining that met our limited dietary requirements.
• Although it was close to the airport, it was not really close to most of the places we were visiting.

“Overall our experience of the doubletree was very pleasant. The staff was quite friendly and my children loved having their own room and TV. The amenities were great, too!”

“This doubletree is in a very convenient location, close to major highways and phoenix sky harbor airport. However, my husband and I were surprised by how quiet the room was, as we never heard the jets or any traffic noise. The room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. I only wish we had been staying longer than the one night we were there!”

• Endlessly friendly staff, warm pool for winter swimming, comfy rooms, free full breakfast.
• Humid rooms that could only be ventilated by opening door.

“Family-friendly hotel with an endlessly friendly staff. The suites are very comfortable for a family of four. Full breakfast was an excellent way to start the day. The kids loved the pool, which wasn't the least bit cold in late December. This was our second stay at this hotel and it has remained our favorite because of the roomy suites and the great staff.”

“I had to stay in the valley for a business meeting the next day. This hotel's daily rack rate was 4 times what I paid and would have been worth it at full price. Spent 2 hrs in pool area talking to visitors to the valley of the sun and had a blast. Rooms very nice, beds outstanding and morning breakfast great! Only one bad experience in 15 uses and this hotel 5 out of 5!”

• That it was a suite and the bed was comfortable.
• Staff not that knowledgeable about area and not a lot of dining options.

“Hotel was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly but not overly knowledgeable of area and what to do around there. We wanted a taxi the first night to take us to dinner in Scottsdale and they ordered us a town car taxi which ended up costing us a bit more...felt they just pushed that on us without a choice.”

• The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was wonderful & always my favorite thing at Doubletree is the warm cookies at check-in.
• The only thing I did not care for was the location of the hotel. It did not look like the nicest part of town.

“The location may not be great, but when you are inside the hotel, you cannot believe that it is in that particular part of town. It is a very nice hotel and we have always had a good experience whenever we stay at a Doubletree. Everything was great!”

• They changed our room after we found several problems with the original room.
• Old, needs renovating. strange design, lots of outside walkways up to and including the 6th floor.

“Friendly staff but they gave us one of the worst rooms. We complained and were given better accommodations. It is convenient to the airport with free shuttle. This place needs a serious redo. We didn't think it came close to our other experiences with Doubletree. Restaurant was mediocre but the staff was friendly and helpful as was the front desk.”

• The service was good, and the location was convenient.
• The overall aesthetic was rather industrial.

“The room met our needs, and we took advantage of the free breakfast -- I'm picky about my coffee, and the hotel's was decent. We enjoyed the happy hour appetizers, the pool, and the business center. Internet service was free, which was quite helpful. The service was good. The one thing I didn't like was the architectural design of the building -- it was rather industrial and sterile.”

• Included a breakfast buffet, and the room was quiet.
• I was in the very back and was surrounded by the cleaning staff - I had to work my way through them each time I left the room.

“They did not have a non-smoking room available for me except for in the very back. It was a handicap accessible room, and although very comfortable, it was a long way from the front of the hotel, and not very accessible. I had to weave my way through all of the cleaning carts each time I left my room. There was no ice available in any of the machines close by, but a very helpful maintenance man went to get some for me. The beds were good as were the pillows, but I did not feel safe to leave this facility at night by my self, even to go to the front of the hotel, and not be in my car. Just not a three star hotel in my mind, Thanks.”

“It was a very nice stay, very friendly staff. As an out of Towner I was not to sure how to get around town. A map and good directions were given when ever needed. My experience with the Double Tree Hotel was a great one and made my trip all that much better.”

• The rooms were well appointed Suites that were very convenient for families with children.
• We probably had the noisiest room in the hotel, directly above the heater for the pool.

• Good transportation to airport with excellent service by drivers.
• Desk clerk was unclear about directions to room. She gave a quick gesture with her hand indicating the general direction.

“Very nice suite. Bed was comfortable. Restaurant was convenient with friendly service. The hot breakfast buffet was good also. The only negative was that we had to work past a large number of the maid carts to get to our room.”

• The suite concept is my preferred type of room.
• The elevators were not working and we had to walk to others or use the stairs.

“This was a very nice hotel, they had a very loud party going on Saturday night. We were there for the Sunday Marathon and had trouble sleeping due to noise. Outdoor smoking, drinking and very loud.”
