• Front desk was friendly and helpful and rooms were clean.
• They didn't bring a crib for hours and we had to call again.

“Nice ducks and pond outside. Staff was friendly but slow when we asked for something. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We didn't drink the $4 bottle of water.”

• It is a little out of the way unless you are needing to go to the airport.

• The hotel was fairly easy to find, definitely clean and as a single female, I felt safe.
• It was challenging to have to go outside to access the high rise portion of the hotel.

“From being met at the front desk to asking directions, everything was great. The bed was pretty and comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, but very clean and lots of hot water. I'd definitely stay here again.”

• The rooms smelt like smoking rooms and they were not clean.

“The first room we were put in smelt like smoke so they moved us and that room slept worse. There was a bobby pin on the floor and dirt in the entry way and dark stains in the carpet.”

• It has a famous name. That's about it.
• Although 2 calls were placed earlier in the day to ensure all was ok due to a late check-in, it was to no avail. We were told the calls didn't matter.

“We were treated as though it didn't matter if we stayed or not. After calls earlier in the day to ensure a smooth check-in because of arriving late, our two rooms were not together. One was a smoking room, contrary to previous arrangements and they both were the wrong type of rooms. We were told they were full and we could take those rooms or not. Very disappointing.”

• Everything was easy, convenient, and fast.
• The hotel layout is confusing.

“I had a short night but wanted a decent hotel to overnight in. Shuttle picked up every 20 minutes from the airport. Checked in was quickly and shuttle ready for early departure back to airport. My stay was perfect for what I needed!”

• Needed better wireless internet service. Weak signal.

• Check in agent very nice- when asked gave a great tip for a nearby Japanese/sushi restaurant. Gave us a map, etc.
• There was a wet towel behind the door when we arrived. Maze of hallways to get to our room - far away from the lobby.

“Room service shut down at 11:10 pm - even though the in room menu showed 24 hr service. They told me to come down to the bar to get a glass of wine and some dessert - very nice on the phone - but that's not room service! The beds were awesome - really comfortable. Our eggs benedict breakfast on Monday morning was delicious but they got the order wrong and brought only one plate initially when we had ordered 2. The maid could not speak any English at all when I answered her knock at the door - which was at approx. 8:00 am on Monday 8/11. This is not a romantic type hotel - great for business travel, first exit after you leave the SLC (Salt Lake City) airport - easy to find.”

• The duck pond was fun for the kids.
• The hotel staff was rude and incompetent.

“The facilities were passable but not as nice as I would have expected from a three star hotel. I have never been treated so rudely by staff at the front desk at any hotel and the general manager wasn't much better. I had called ahead that day and confirmed that we had our rooms available and that checking in later wouldn't be a problem and they said everything was in order. When we arrived, we were put in smoking rooms and told they were non-smoking and that we must just be smelling the hall. When pressed on the matter, the front desk attendant simply said her brain wasn't working, as if that should explain the situation. Then when the manager admitted they were smoking rooms, he said that was all he had available and if we didn't want those rooms we could stay elsewhere. It was already 8 PM at this time. After and hour and a half of insisting that they make appropriate accommodations available for us, we finally got rooms that were acceptable, although in different buildings from each other. Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had.”

• The high-rise appeared to be newly-remodeled.
• A bit far from stores and restaurants.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs proximity to the SLC airport. The "high-rise" was exceptionally clean and appeared to be recently renovated. My only complaint is that the beds were too soft. However, some may prefer that. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff was very pleasant. Free Internet access was a plus.”

• Upgraded to suite. Very spacious. Free breakfast.
• Room sparsely furnished.

“Upgraded to suite: spacious but sparsely furnished. Convenient for airport. Free shuttle at 20 min intervals, 24-7. Peaceful location. Because of Hilton Honors status got tokens for free drinks, free snacks and free breakfast. Bar was comfortable but not smoke-free.”

“Room was nice, bed was large and comfy. When we first entered, there was a large spider hanging from the ceiling and some real obvious stains on the floor. The television remote did not work. When I called the front desk they sent both a new remote and some batteries to my room but when neither worked they just said sorry and left.”

• Beautiful room, feather comforters, marble bathroom, etc. Elegant decor.
• Very large - not easy for children to navigate, but kid friendly staff. No complimentary breakfast.

“This is a great location (near airport), beautiful rooms in very tasteful decor. Comfort was excellent (5 pillows per bed and feather comforter). Kid friendly - just not much dining nearby for kids (no complimentary breakfast).”

• The furniture in the room was o.k.
• Very poor customer service at check-in.

“I have never been treated so poorly at a Hilton. The desk clerk seemed to assume that we were not worthy of her time nor effort to even talk to us about our needs, the room location, parking arrangements. Extremely poor service. Wall-paper was pealing off of the wall in the bathroom.”

• No hot water and rooms are badly in need of remodeling.

• The room was not up to par, hot, air conditioner didn't work, no fan in bathroom, had to change rooms, 3 rooms in 2 nights.

• An employee at the front desk had an attitude about my reservation technique.

“The hotel was very nice in general. The only problem was the distance from the front desk to the rooms. After the remodeling, this should improve. I would recommend this motel to anyone flying in or out of Salt Lake City.”
