• The size of the bathroom was big enough to allow moving about.
• It was a bit complicated to get to from the freeway.

• Bed was at a 90 degree angle to the TV which was a little awkward.

• The linens on the bed were very nice.
• The size of the beds was too small for two people.

“Overall it was good, the pool and hot tub were out of order, and to be able to use these amenities a person would have to walk across the street to the other Marriott. That was not very convenient; also the elevator was broken nearest to our room. Other than the beds being too small, it was comfortable and clean. I would go back as it is extremely close to the airport.”

• The cleanliness of the hotel was great and the staff was friendly.

“The location was perfect for our needs. We were pleased with the overall look and feel of the hotel. When we did not get a four or three star hotel, we just assumed that the hotel would be less desirable. We were very wrong. The place was great, updated and fresh. Thank you very, very much!”

• The front desk people were awesome.
• Our room was right up against the freeway.

“The front desk people were great, had some great advice on restaurants for this stay as well as our next. The kids loved the pool as well as the cookies that were out in the afternoon. Just request a room away from the freeway, that was the only negative.”

“Very comfortable and pleasant. The staff was great and the room was plentiful in comfort and pillows! I would have been nice for there to be some kind of continental breakfast as the other surrounding hotels do. The room was spacious. The highway was close to our room, but we just ran the fan all night. No problem! Great pool & hot tub too. We will stay again. Thanks.”

• It was in a good location staff was friendly.
• No outside restaurants; close by the pool was closed.

“The hotel was nice but the motel shuttle bus hit some cars and my car was one of them, the manager told me they didnt know who did it. The insurance company was the one that told me it was the shuttle van. The damage to my car is estimated at 3500.00 dollars but I will have to pay come out of pocket. This trip cost me a lot more the I had planned.”

• The hot chocolate in the lobby was great. We are not coffee drinkers so it was nice to have a warm drink on a cold day.
• The maid was slow cleaning our room in the morning. I had to go down to the lounge and wait. But the lounge was very comfortable and I had worked to do.

“Nice, comfortable hotel. Convenient to freeway. Loved the extra large towels. The Hot chocolate in the lobby was nice on a cold winter day. Very enjoyable stay.”

• The location is convenient and quiet and the service was excellent.
• The restaurant is only open at certain times and seemed understaffed.

“The courtyard by Marriott is a comfortable and conveniently located hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was a nice size and the beds were very comfortable. There is a cafe available for breakfast and dinner. The dinner we purchased was cold and not terribly tasty and the breakfast was fairly basic but again, the service was excellent.”

• The bed had bugs and I had a number of bits and a rash on my legs and arms.

“This was a honeymoon weekend for us. It was a wonderful stay, but it was upsetting to find out from my doctor after I returned home, that I had been bitten a number of times by bugs, all over my legs and arms.”

• The indoor pool and Jacuzzi were godsends in the middle of winter.
• Rooms with microwaves were available, but only at an additional charge.

“This Courtyard provided a wonderful place to rest in the middle of a long and wearying trip. The indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi were ideal for allowing us to relax and unwind. It was definitely worth it.”

• Toilet installed six inches from wall. Inexcusable.

“Very nice hotel convenient to SLC international airport with friendly shuttle service. It was aggravating to find the toilet installed so close to the wall (I could spread my fingers and touch wall and toilet seat) when there is about 4 feet plus between toilet and bathtub. Even a skinny person I am not a skinny person) would be cramped against the toilet paper holder.”

• Until we found a bug in the bed.

“I would have rated this hotel excellent except for two things: 1) the bug in the bed2) no complimentary breakfast but a breakfast buffet for $9.99 each. Traveling with small children that do not make sense. We showed the bug to the lady at the reception, she said they would go up and change the bed immediately. We were checking out. My daughter did get bitten by the bug and still has a rash my fingers are crossed that it will just go away.”

“This hotel was very nice. We have stayed there before and would stay there again. However, I would have also liked to have done a review on the red lion in downtown which we stayed just two weeks before. Our room was filled with box elder bugs. Definitely not worthy of a 3 star rating status.”

• They "chomped" me a free breakfast after learning that I had some problems with my hotel stay.
• The closet wouldn't open, and the TV remote didn't work.

“This courtyard by Marriott is conveniently located adjacent to the salt lake city airport area, which was perfect for someone who arrived at the late hour that I did. The overnight staff was pleasant although not as responsive as the morning shift in responding to my concerns about my accommodations. the breakfast buffet was adequate and moderately priced, although not as plentiful and diverse in food selection as a courtyard by Marriott hotel in Connecticut that I have used which offers a free buffet to its guests. Nevertheless, the hotel staff's gesture of goodwill in offering a complimentary breakfast was greatly appreciated, and was a thoughtful response to my stated concerns about my accommodations.”

• Cleaning lady tried to steal a beanie for her son.

“Beds were a little hard for sleeping but everything else was fine. My wife forgot her beanie in the room after we checked out and went back to look for it. The cleaning lady was there and my wife spoke to her in Spanish and said she didnt have it. Turns out the manager asked with a translator and found out she did in fact have it. Then we received it via DHL two days later.”
