• Each room was a 2 room suite, layout was wonderful.
• Their was a noticeable stain on the comforter that was never addressed.

“Nice place, I would stay there again. Seems like a great place for families, because of the water features and the day camp for kids. Rooms are updated and clean. I loved the 2 room suite layout. Only complaint was there was a dried stain (food I hope) on the foot of our comforter.”

“I found black hairs in my bed. The room smelled like old cigarettes. And to top it all off, I was woken up at 8 o'clock in the morning to a jack hammer going off in front of our room. Did not turn out to be the romantic get away I was hoping for.”

“We were only in town for two days and found the Hilton very comfortable, clean and well appointed. This hotel would be wonderful for a vacation of 4-6 days with children. For guests without children or for business meetings I would rate this Hilton highly also.”

• A lot of families traveling with children. Loud children.

“It was a pleasant experience for the most part. It was nice to have a Starbucks and AJ's market just down the street. I wasn't expecting all of the families with young children. It was a little loud at night. Couldn't enjoy the pool or hot tub because of children playing. I wouldn't consider staying at this hotel again for that reason. I want more peace and quiet during a vacation.”

• Hotel staff was nice. All suite rooms great water park.
• We found a tick in our room. No we did not go hiking/wilderness area. Mildew in bath area. Fingerprints on walls. Needs updating.

“Pleasant stay. Staff was very friendly. Hotel interior does need some updating. There was mildew all over the bathroom door and fingerprints around light switches, but I find this at every hotel we go to from 4* to 2*. We did find a red tick in our room on the bed, the day we checked out. We didn't go hiking or near shrubbery except on hotel property. The only other place I could think of is maybe it came from the spa locker that I went to the night before we left which was off hotel property.”

“Clean, friendly environment. Great resort for families as well as couples. Food is good service a bit slow. Overall, rating would be 8. Recommended for a get away weekend. A bit pricey for the medium income family or couple.”

• The pool was really fun.
• It started to sprinkle so they closed the pool and when it stopped raining it was only open to the employees only.

“We were really there to relax and hag out by the pool but the closes early so we sat in our room prefer to stay somewhere the pool is open 24 hours or at least 10 p.m. I would think twice about staying here.”

• Everything was extra $$$ - internet/breakfast - closed pool down twice in 2 days.

“Nice hotel - staff was more concerned with the extra work to keep the pool open and closed it early. They did not reopen the pool after the storm passed. Did not have enough staff most of the time at desk and concierge.”

“Hotel was nice. King Casita room was VERY small and they can only put one roll away (for fire safety) in the room at a time which made for tight sleeping quarters for this family of 4 as well as a tight room to hang out in. The grounds and pool area were very nice but quite crowded. The restaurants were over-priced for the food and service. Lots of stuff for the kids!”

• Room price included admission to hotel's swim park. Excellent value for family of 5. Beds & pull-out sofa bed were exceedingly comfortable.
• In-room coffee was terrible.

• Common public areas are beautiful. Water park is a plus!
• We were assigned a handicapped room. Not good for toddlers!

“The Hilton at squaw peak in phoenix is a fine destination resort for a family. Its water park and pools are beautifully kept by friendly and knowledgeable staff members. I would recommend this resort for both family vacations and a romantic getaway for mom and dad!”

• The room was wonderful and we loved the pools.
• The snacks were a little expensive.

“I had a class at another hotel but chose to stay at the squaw peak Hilton due to its water park. I brought my children with me and they had a blast. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be coming back in the future.”

• The smiling staff would bend over backwards for you.
• The lighting in my room was a bit dark.

“Very pleased with this resort! I was there for business but I would definitely come back with my family for a leisure visit. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous, clean and very exotic looking overall. The food in the restaurants was really very good. My hike in the nearby Squaw Peak Nature Preserve was very enjoyable and the map the front desk provided was very helpful. All staff members that I came in contact with were always smiling and extremely helpful. They were able to answer questions with ease.”

• Pool areas too geared for children. Place needs an adults-only pool.

“This hotel exceeded my expectations, though; I must admit my expectations were not extremely high. While this property cannot be ranked with the more luxurious resorts in the phoenix/Scottsdale area, it is definitely a step up from the average 3-star accommodation. The suites, most of which have been recently renovated, are comfortable and nicely decorated and the new Hilton tranquility beds are truly wonderful. This property is primarily geared for families with smaller children, as the main feature of the resort is a wonderful water park along with a full mini-golf course. The restaurants are more casual, again, to accommodate family dining. There are, however, a couple of excellent restaurants in the neighborhood (tutti santi and aunt chiladas), only a short walk from the resort. Finally, I can't say enough about the great staff at the Pointe Hilton squaw peak. They were extremely friendly and helpful and just made us feel very welcome to their resort.”

“This is an excellent resort for a great family vacation or a romantic getaway. The suites are nicely appointed and comfortable. The sofa-bed was the most comfortable I have ever seen. The River Ranch is a great experience for the kids, although the personnel running the kid's games need more training. We have been numerous times over the years and plan to return.”

“This is a very nice hotel. It is not really a resort - unless swimming with small children who yell a lot is your activity of choice. Taxation is better as a resort but no better as a hotel. The restaurants are limited and my experiences led me to go others in nearby areas instead. It is actually very convenient to the airport and adjoins a "city park" that is a beautiful desert wilderness area with great trails, real mountains and excellent maintenance. You can walk from the hotel through a tunnel under the highway but it is better to drive to squaw peak drive get right into it. I'd love to go to this hotel as much as I can. Members of Hilton honors gold have breakfast at no charge.”

• Exterior floors, elevators were a bit run down looking in the north building.

“While I was there alone, it seemed like a great place to vacation with your family. Very kid-friendly pool with a lazy river and hourly activities/games. The other pools located throughout the resorts seemed to be quitter locales for adults to relax. Pool towels could be larger. King room was nicely decorated with separate, large sitting area. Accommodated a late check out. Fitness facilities were extra.”

“We arrived about midnight due to travel problems. We were put into a smoking suite (as non-smokers) and the air conditioner didn't work. We called in the morning and it was fixed. The grounds were ok, not spectacular. The location was not the best for us. However, the rooms and service were quite good.”

• The children's programs were wonderful and affordable.
• The hotel nickel and dimmed you for every little thing. We were very disappointed in that.

“The property was a bit older, but still nice. With the property being so large courtesy transportation was available from one destination to another at no charge. The childcare program was wonderful and our 9 year old truly learned valuable history through art work and music. However we were disappointed in the fact that the resort had a fee for everything, you felt like you were being nickel and dimmed on every front. There are some nice places to eat off the property. Overall it was a nice experience and it is a place we would visit again.”

• External concrete hallway noise is an irritant.

“This is a high density "resort" that is family oriented. The breakfast facility is located in a separate building from the resort. Although reasonably priced it is a long walk from the quiet backside rooms. For business travelers it is a stretch because the ambience can become noisy when people are conversing in the outside corridors. The news stand does not have the wall street journal. Printed business news sources are unfortunately very minimal.”

• I loved the layout of the hotel and the home-like feeling of the rooms.
• The housekeeping service needs a lot of work. The fact that they can not speak English may contribute to the problem.

“Overall the hotel is very nice and the layout if beautiful. Like all hotels, they have their flaws. I wouldn't say that the customer service and front desk were helpful. In addition, the housekeeping was not that great but I believe that's more on an individual basis more than anything. I would recommend the resort to someone who is just looking for some fun for the kids and they are not looking for much.”

• This is not a place to go for romance by the pool. Very family oriented lots of kids.

“This hotel is great for families. I will come back with my kids next time. The shuttle service to the Hilton tuition resort and back was great. We were able to find more romantic dining over there.”

• Excellent for the short notice and price. The offer to extend my stay for another night, probably would have allowed us to enjoy the facilities more.
• I expected a kitchen area for this level of room.
