• The pool was really small and shallow.

• Good location, we didn't feel unsafe when we went out to dine in the area 3 blocks away.
• The brunch was expensive.

“My family enjoyed the views from the 5th floor. The hotel was really quite. My kids enjoyed the heated pool. The restaurants located near by are great and there are many flavors to choose from. We enjoyed our stay. The kids want to stay there again when we go to Phoenix again. If my kids are happy, then the hotel rates great.”

“There was no room service menu in the room, so I had asked for one. It did not come. The next morning I called again 3x. It never came. I had a 4 hr. drive and could have used breakfast! Is it too much to ask for a room service menu in the room? Should I have had to call for one 4x and still never get one?”

• Convenient, immaculate, friendly and courteous. Awesome.
• Valet prices too high.

“Downtown location is the best for activities in the area. Ability to walk to Arizona Center, Convention Center, America West and Bank One Ballpark, dining and shopping make this the ideal spot. The most courteous staff around and the rooms are very nice. I try to stay here even if I am going to Scottsdale for business or leisure.”

• This is a world class hotel!
• The parking! $23.00 per day for Valet. Thats a little too much!

“I was in this hotel just before the Superbowl week. The room was great, 18th floor, city view, more then I expected for the price. However, I didn't like the parking. Limited on-street, and a self service lot that was over-priced. $23.00 per day for Valet on the weekend is high! I have stayed at other hotels in phx that were almost as nice but had free self parking. Might consider them next time if parking is not included in the rate.”

• Well appointed rooms and easy access lobby.
• Next to symphony hall - arriving Friday night means only valet parking.

“Downtown hotel that has been redone. Rooms are modern and spacious with good amenities including a magnifying mirror (a plus for me). The bed was large and comfortable with many pillows. The TV has some strange interruptions of signal - but I think that was a short term glitch. But don't rely on self-serve parking. There are many public events in the evening that fill up the public lots, just count in the cost of using valet.”

“The hotel was beautiful with a friendly & helpful staff. I thought I was getting a room like anyone else that called the Hyatt but I didn't. It felt like I was in the area of the hotel where they we going to start renovating!”

• This hotel had a nice view of the area and friendly staff.
• The parking garage was not attached to the hotel, we had to go across the street to the parking garage.

“We enjoyed our short stay at the hotel. We would have liked to stay longer, but time didn't permit. We were surprised at the hotel that we received. The hotel was within walking distance of the places we wanted to see. We would use this hotel again in the future if we are back in this area again.”

• The lobby was beautiful. The amenities were a little short. Rooms were not much different than motel 6.
• $60.00 for two burgers. I was very let off by this. Room was not much different than motel 6.

“Overall it is a beautiful place. The lobby was very elegant. They have a restaurant on the 30 floor that spins around for a good view. The view from the room on the 14th floor was lacking in quality though in my opinion. The room would have been better off without windows. We paid $60.00 for two burgers to be delivered to our room, and the food was equivalent to that of McDonalds. Very nice location.”

“The Hyatt Downtown Phoenix was very nice overall. The hotel room was clean and the staff was always courteous. I only have a few minor complaints. One - They do not have their own parking garage so parking is difficult on the weekends. Two - The Terrace restaurant inside is way over-priced for the quality of food they serve. The breakfast I had was just plain gross. The berries were old and the bacon tasted very bad. Finally, I called guest services to request an item and they said they would try to get it. No one ever came with the item or ever called to say they couldn't find it (the item was baby wipes, the maid threw ours away and we were traveling with a toddler). Even with these minor problems our stay was great!”

• The hotel met all the needs of myself and the others that I traveled with. the rooms were spacious and clean.
• The parking was quite expensive and inconvient to have to call for your car.

“The hotel is in a great location and has a lot of attractions around it. The rooms were spacious and clean. The halls were a little noisy due to slamming doors. The parking is expensive and inconvenient at times. overall the stay was great and the staff very helpful.”

• I love this hotel. It's centrally located by the theatres.
• I wish they would put sealed plastic cups for drinking in the rooms. I won't use the glass ones. Have you seen the video on the web re: how clean ?

• Could not access the heat/air - too hot in the rooms most of the time - we're from the Midwest where it is cold and they kept the room at 74 or so -.

• Excellent! Meet/Exceed my expectation for Hyatt.
• Fee parking.

“The Hyatt, although grand and professional in everyway, is still very family friendly. The rooms are clean and neat. TV is a bit old but it works well with all the channels. My only concern was the parking fee they charge. When I got there the day before New Years Eve and asked the front desk about parking, the young lady at the desk offered me all the options, including free street parking until next Monday. I ended up not paying anything for parking. The gentleman at the Concierge also offered excellent tips on getting back to the airport. I can't be more satisfied.”

• A descent upscale quality hotel that makes one comfortable.
• Parking fees ($22 per day) was too high and Downtown street parking can not park more than 1 hour.

“The hotel itself is very nice for the price I bid. The room was very decent and full of amenities like feather pillows and comforter. However, the parking fees ($22 for valet parking and $12 for self parking) could easily offset any saving. There is only one or 2 restaurants opened during public holiday in the Downtown area where this hotel is located beside the more expensive ones inside the hotel itself.”

• My son loved the elevators because you can see out of them as you travel up and down! :).
• It needs to charge less for parking and valet!

• Great view.
• Had to pay extra for parking, this was a huge turn off.

“Good hotel, great food, nice view, friendly staff, location is convent to all the sports fields and other Downtown attractions. The hotel has no parking lot, you must park in metered parking, or at a parking deck across the street that is ten dollars each time you enter and exit. The hotel offers a 16 dollar per day card that does not work as an in out pass even though that is what it is advertised as.”

“We stayed there on the weekend, so we thought all the business travelers would be home for the weekend. I guess there was some kind of show going on or some kind of large gathering, because the streets were crowded and parking was impossible to find. The only available parking cost $10 and there was no overnight parking! We would have had to move our car to the street parking by 4 am or we would have been charged another $10 for the remainder of that day. Only after much complaining did the desk staff offer us complimentary parking in their "full" parking lot.”

• Totally disgusted with parking situation.

“This hotel owns zero parking places. Valet is $23 per night. I have a handicap. Complained to staff about no accessible parking. They said, "take your chances with the parking meters out on the side of the building where the homeless people loiter or pay us the valet fees." if I had the time I would pursue recourse against them for his terrible treatment.”

• Connecting rooms and very loud neighbors. Odd sounds in the drain.

“We had a fantastic experience. The room was furnished beautifully with great linens. Other reviews mentioned issues with parking, but we found it easy to park on the street for free and within a very short walking distance. Internet access would be nice.”

• I liked staying on the 17th floor w/an amazing view of PHX.
• Renting movies on the TV was too expensive.

“Great service from the moment you pulled in. Plenty of staff members ready to help you w/your bags and anything else you need. Even though the hotel was busy, check in was fast and efficient (10min from 1st entering the building to having keys to the room in my hand).”

• Location awkward with all the construction in phoenix.

“Nice hotel in good neighborhood except that the construction in the downtown area makes for getting around with out GPS nearly impossible. You need to be aware of the road construction when planning the trip. Otherwise the hotel was excellent. Beds comfy and sheets super soft.”

• The location is great. The whimsical design in the lobby was fun.
• Bathroom was small.

“The staff is very helpful. They arranged for us to have a room with a balcony. The rooms are not very large, but are nicely furnished. The only slight disappointment was the small size of the bathroom.”

• Lack of affordable parking lack of parking period!

“The hotel is well located close to, if not in, copper square. Shopping and decent restaurants are nearby as are chase field, united airways center, theaters, AZ science museum, etc. The staff is very helpful. The beds are totally comfortable and every hotel should use the black out draperies Hyatt uses: at 9 am it seemed like the middle of the night. Negatives: the parking situation is bad. They have valet parking at $23 per night. Highway robbery for hotel guests. Otherwise, you are on your own and your choices are few. Except for the parking problem, we love the Hyatt!”

“Beautiful Hotel in prime location for business. Quality control for housekeeping is suspect. If you do stay there take it upon your own responsibility to thoroughly inspect your room (especially bed itself) as soon as you get there. Don't let you be surprised right at bedtime. I personally thinks there are many similar hotels and feel more comfortable with a competitor after my experience.”
