“Perfectly located. I came to Phoenix for the Jamie Foxx concert at the Dodge theater. It was near all the major venues, US Airways, the Baseball stadium and the Dodge Theatre.”

• Nice hotel next to the convention center downtown.
• Carpet was dirty.

“The hotel was very nice, large, and roomy. The rooms were a reasonable size and the bathroom was nice also. The only problem usually with downtown properties is the parking. Valet was 26.00 and guest parking was 19.00 but the valet gave us a great tip, parking on the street during the weekends was free!”

• Service was great, the bagel store makes great sandwiches.
• Pool is only 3 feet deep, rooms need remodeling.

• It would have been nice to have courtesy internet in lobby, refrigerators in roms

“Nice oasis for a summer visit, the rooms were nicely appointed (clean lines). The overall staff experience was very good, the room service staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Very convenient downtown location to Convention Center and sports venues.”

“Overall this a clean and nice hotel. My one complaint is that I called twice before I arrived at the hotel to request double beds and to alert them to my late arrival. When I finally got there, they said they had no record of either one of my calls and I was given a regular bed.”

• This hotel is excellent but they threw away my dietry food and took away my fridge with food in it and they did not inform me what happened .
• My dietary food was taken from my room with my permission along with the mini fridge.

“This hotel is great but was disappointed they took my fridge without my knowledge in which I has stored samples of dietary foods to be evaluated by my friend who was interested in it.”

• The staff, location, patio off the room, overall facilities, and location was excellent.

“This hotel made me feel like my business trip was a vacation. I really enjoyed the sports bar. The revolving restaurant was beautiful. The area of downtown is perfect for walks to entertainment venues or carriage rides to slightly further destinations.”

• Location. Very clean, beautiful lobby, great reception desk, helpful employees.

“The reception desk was very amenable. Gave us our door cards, and said if we needed anything to call. Room large & very clean. TV pulled out for easy viewing for news before going to sleep. The lobby was very American Indian and tastefully done. Open space feeling.

• Great location to US Airways Center and lovely accommodations very satisfied.

“The hotel is centrally located in the downtown PHX area. Close to good restaurants and entertainment facilities. Parking is secure in a covered parking garage. Staff was helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.”

• It was very elegant. The staff was all helpful & friendly.
• The restaurants were a little expensive.

“I enjoyed this hotel very much. The hotel employees were very friendly and helpful. It is located in downtown Phoenix within walking distance of restaurants and bars. The Convention Center is directly across the street. It is very clean and elegant. This is not your run-of-the-mill hotel. It is old-style with marble and soaring open spaces. The statuary and art is modern American-western. There are doormen and bellhops. The revolving restaurant on the 24th floor reveals a lovely view of the downtown Phoenix area, which is especially lovely at night. I would gladly stay here again!”

• Hotel had their hand in my wallet the whole time.

“This is not a family friendly hotel and amenities all cost extra parking and internet all cost more. There is no breakfast and paid for oatmeal bowl! Limited channels on the TV and no way to hook up a video game or DVD player. You are stuck. Do not bother paying for their on TV games, they are a waste. Pool was not very useful either. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall in one place too. If you have an expense account you will find this a very comfortable place smack dab in the middle of town.”

“Great location Downtown, walking distance to Chase field. Minor issues. The TV in the room was in a bad spot, the entertainment center block part of the screen. The pool was only 3ft deep.”

• Pool area is not kid friendly, layout of pool need to redesign.

“Good location for anyone in town for Dback game, Suns, etc. But a lot of people bring the kids out to the game. Although this is a great spot close to the action and good restaurants, the pool design is unsafe for kids.”

• Loved the fitness center with the TV's on the cardio machines and the refrigerated towels.
• The parking is crazy. It cost 16 dollars for in and out privileges. I stayed at the San Carlos and it was 10 and the garage is next to the Hyatt.

“If your looking for a Downtown location this is the hotel of choice. Located minutes from the ballpark and museum. In the heart of Downtown for the business traveler. Clean and friendly staff. Awesome revolving restaurant with amazing views!”

• Great location to local attractions. Beautiful inside. Friendly Staff.
• Room was small, TV was old bed and TV at 90 degree angle from each other.

“Very nice hotel. Pool is on the 3rd floor which is nice for privacy, but local high rise buildings often block the sun for tanning, the blocked sun also makes the temperature lower which is a benefit in 100 degree weather. The room size and TV location within the room was the big downside. Pay per day parking was also inconvenient and added to our overall costs.”

• Not a lot of local amenities--no retail in walking distance.

“Beautiful hotel as you expect from Hyatt--you won't be disappointed. Only downside is this part of Downtown Phoenix does not have a lot of retail within walking distance so if you need to run to a drug store or want to pick up some sodas for your room, there is nowhere to go beyond hotel gift shop which had limited selections. But great room, friendly and courteous staff and good restaurants on property.”

• Parking was horrible, must pay to park (not disclosed), staff was rude.

“Went to Phx for a weekend getaway. Found the hotel with no problem. Pay to park was not disclosed. You must pay additional 10.00 a day for parking for overnight or 16.00 if you want to be able to come and go. There is parking on street but have meters. Weekends are meter free but are still hard to find a space. Valet/doorman was rude when I was trying to unload my luggage in front of hotel; he told I couldnt leave my vehicle in front while I went to room, but that he could park my car for valet price. I told him I just needed to unload my luggage (2 bags) so I didnt have to walk from parking garage to hotel toting my luggage. He allowed my car to stay there for "5 minutes" begrudgingly. Food choices were limited. Restaurant seemed more like a bar. I bought a Microwavable dinner at the store, but front desk clerk told me there were no microwaves I could use to warm it up (no microwave in room, but I knew that when I made arrangements). But I did expect customer service that they would at least have a microwave someone could use, or if it were me in at my job, I would have said - "I can take it to the employee lounge and warm it in there for you" rather than refusing to help.”

• Hotel location is great and the bed and other accommodations were outstanding. Love the glass elevator and the rotating restaurant.
• As soon as they complete the light-rail project, the confusing and rough streets will be easier to Manuever.

“An outstanding hotel. We have stayed here twice and were very pleased both times. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The $23 per day parking charge seems high!”

• Open feeling, clean, goods beds.
• $23 parking/day, no casual eateries anywhere near the hotel, Valets would not bring your car to the front if you called for it from your room.

“Ok if you have an expense account to pay for the $12.29/day internet access and $23/day parking. Otherwise, sneaky way to drive income from hotel guests. Some Valets very cocky. Overall clean hotel. No refrigerator.”
