• They represent their slogan in every way-an award should be given to everyone who is employed at this homestead Hilton.
• The yucky flat round eggs at breakfast! No-one likes them!

“This Hilton makes me very fond of Paris! The manager and staff is the very finest I have ever been around before, even in my travels around the World! I got the flu very bad and the front desk saw to my needs and they truly cared how I was doing-they would bring me breakfast and light dinner when they served. Wow! Even the maintenance mans wife made me something at home for my stomach! Wow! Fix the gas fireplace in dining room! That disappointed many residents ~that were staying there-iT for feel, not warmth! I love this place.”

• The price, the breakfast was decent.
• Heavy smoke and the gentleman working the front desk werent very helpful.

“I wouldn't have minded except the odor was so strong it was hard to even stay in the room. I asked for the manager and someone that said she was the night manager did send in an atomizer or ozone machine to clear the smell from the room. This did help after being set the 2nd time on the last day of our stay. Overall not a terrible experience, just not what we expected from our previous stay.”

• We phoned and asked for 2 beds. Only had a sofa bed as the second -nothing else available.

“When we arrived at the hotel we were disappointed that they did not have the room with 2 beds.”

• Cigarette smoke should be aired out of room.

• Loved having more than just a bedroom and bath. Loved breakfasts.
• AC didn't work, other things in the room needed work.

“Our requests for fixes were ignored. A handle on a dresser drawer was broken, the VCR wasn't hooked up; so, it could be used, the pool was unheated (despite asking), and the AC compressor in our room was on its last legs and made horrible noise all night. Two days it didn't work at all in Phoenix. We were too hot. We loved the comfort of the room and the way it was cared for by the maids. I'd love to stay there again.”

“What a pleasant surprise! When I selected a 2.5 star hotel, versus a three or better where I would normally stay, I had my doubts. However, every contact that I had with hotel staff and every one of my experiences in this hotel was truly phenomenal. Public spaces and room were modern and spotless. Included breakfast buffet was varied and had many offerings. Laundry facilities were clean, spacious, and equipment efficient. Sun and shade pool area just off lobby was the perfect setting for breakfast al fresco. Front desk staff was cheery, professional and very helpful. Honestly, I could go on and on. I've stayed at several 4 star hotels in phoenix and the environs that I liked so much less than this one. You won't be disappointed!”

• Was charged $5.30 for phone call even when it did not connect?

“Over all was comfortable and convenient for what I needed on this trip. Did not like the fact that I was charged $11.69 for two phone calls that were never connected. The hotel clerk stated that patrons are charged for just picking up the phone.”

“Homewood suites by Hilton, in the phoenix metro center complex, are centrally located in the greater phoenix area, with easy access to the entire valley of the sun. Moreover, the hotel itself was clean, quiet, and professionally run. Our suite was spacious and offered a full kitchen. Needless to say, Homewood suites by Hilton exceeded our expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone vacationing in the phoenix area. We plan on staying at Homewood suites by Hilton again on our next visit to phoenix.”

• They need to remember who the customer is and how they can best accommodate them!

“Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the hotel. When reserving the rooms, I selected the "non-smoking" rooms, fully expecting to have non-smoking rooms when we arrived. However, we were reserved rooms on the smoking floor, and the desk clerk would do nothing to correct that error. There were (3) adults and (2) children with extreme allergies to cigarette smoke, but they didn't seem to care. We managed to air the rooms out and they let us burn candles and use sprays to clear the air as best as possible. ”

• Cleanliness, general appearance, some of the staff, outside seating option for eating, suite very nice.
• Breakfast unbelievably disorganized, afternoon food offering poor, no Jacuzzi/whirlpool.

“Nice property overall, general appearance clean and most staff friendly, responsive and helpful. Night desk staff somewhat rude. Difficult to reach front desk personnel after eleven. Language barrier with some staff. Beer and wine provided during evening food offering with no supervision. Very young people helping themselves and going to pool. Accident waiting to happen.”

• I was given a smoking room and the employee was extremely helpful in getting me another room.
• I stayed one night and ended up with bed bug bites. I had to go to a local clinic for ointment.

“I called the motel to tell them I had bed bug bites, considering they are in the hospitality business I thought they should know. I did not ask for anything free or compensation for the Dr. visit. They manager was not too happy to hear from me until I said I'm not asking for anything free.”

“Conveniently located near I-17 & Peoria - close to Metro center - this hotel offers a good amount of amenities for the price. The bedroom of the two room suite contains a king size bed, TV, large closet, and bathroom. The sitting room contains a pull out sofa bed, and a mini-kitchen that includes a full size refrigerator, microwave, stove, and pots/pans/dishes/etc. 7 mornings a week the hotel offers a complimentary breakfast bar that includes eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, toast, and coffee/tea/milk/juice. Mon-Thurs the hotel hosts a complimentary evening social meal at the same bar that includes beer/wine/soda and 2 light dishes (spaghetti, pizza, macaroni & cheese, etc). The hotel amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, but not a spa. The building layout requires traveling through the buffet bar area to use the swimming pool, which can be a nuisance during the evening "social hour".”

• Very friendly atmosphere for families.
• No daily room cleaning, trash too small., not taken out.

“I was booked in North Phoenix, the wrong area 50 miles away from my seminar. Homewood Suites had a sister hotel in Mesa but would not transfer my reservations. I ended up having to miss my seminar because the traffic was so bad you could not get across town in less than 2 hours. But the Hotel was nice!”
