“Trapped in the elevator, due to the staff not explaining the need to use the plastic key to make it move.”

• Excellent breakfast buffet and comfortable beds.
• Limited handicapped parking.

• Easy access to freeway, hotel and elevator. Buffet was great and so was the indoor bowling alley.
• No fan in bathroom. No venilation at all in the room, very stuffy, claustrophobic, and hot, even when it was only 64 degrees outside.

“Apparently sunset station hotel takes on an amenities charge of $10.95 a night, plus $4.25 for taxes.”

• The Starbucks in the hotel was great. The food was all good.
• The shower was bad news.

“This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. We upgraded to a suite. The shower was horrible. Very low water pressure the first day. The second day halfway through my shower. no water at all. Just air coming out of the pipes. Shampoo still in my hair. Had to just wipe it off with a towel. The wife did not get a shower at all. The hotel has 4 elevators to the rooms. 3 of the 4 weren't working part of the time. The refrigerator in the room had a bad oder when I opened it. To put a few bottles of water in it. We probably will not us this hotel again.”

• The elegance and serenity.
• The rates doubled on the next night (Thanksgiving).

“I am looking forward to my next visit there; whether in December or in the summer when we can go in the pool. It looks so inviting! The employees were all extra nice; they all had happy attitudes and a twinkle in their eyes. This is a very professionally run establishment!”

• Easy check in, away from the strip, everything in one place.

“Hotel was very clean, staff very helpful. Have a movie theatre, bowling alley, gambling, and a Starbucks everything needed for a quick or long trip to Vegas.”

• This room would be closer to 1,000 a night anywhere else, 3 times the room at 1/3 the price, can't be beat.
• If you want to be on the strip, this is not for you.

“When I booked the room I had a picture in my mind, something like a courtyard etc. Not the case, this is a fairly big railroad themed casino hotel, the we only stayed one night and went on to stay with relatives, so I can't comment much on the casino or other amenities. But my wife commented that after seeing the room, we wished we were going to be staying there longer. This room is an executive suite, 360 sqft, 2 bathrooms (the master bath is huge), wet bar, big screen plasma TV, dinning table lots of big chairs and a couch. I can safely say this was one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in and I have been in some very nice places.”

• The hotel remodeled rooms are attractive and comfortable beds. Buffet dinner was excellent great improvement.
• I wish the hotel offered more entertainment other than gambling and restaurants.

“I stayed at sunset station about 5 years ago and requested non smoking room. When I got there the room was full of smoke and the decor was cheap. My experience October 2007 was wonderful! The non smoking room was non smoking and a clean fresh scent. Ac worked perfect and bedding was adequate. We will stay again!”

• Helpful staff, great bed, good restaurant.
• They could not find the reservation and worked for an hour to try to see that I would not get charged twice.

“But it appeared that I might be charged twice. They did give me the rate and I was very grateful to learn of the hotel.”

• Convenient to the strip but not located in the congestion of the strip.
• No free internet access.

“Great off the strip Hotel/Casino. The rates are very affordable and the rooms are nice and clean. It is located convenient to all the attractions Las Vegas has to offer.”

• Relaxed friendly.
• Pool closed.

“We've stayed in this hotel before and really enjoyed ourselves. The one problem I had was that the pool was closed for construction during our stay, which was Monday through Wednesday. Our room had a nice view of the pool and no one was working there. Nobody told us about this and apparently nobody told the other guests. Families were trying to use the pool, only to be turned back by a locked door. Ive spoken to other people who have been closed out of the pool during their stay. Also, from Monday to Wednesday, are we not being told something. Who wants to go to Vegas and not be able to use the pool?”

• The Oyster Bar was fabulous!
• The smoking in the common areas.

“The Sunset Station is a great. Hotel is away from the LV Strip. It has plenty of activities to make your stay eventful and fun. They also cater to children with special activities for them while mom and dad are gambling. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the hotel staffs are very accommodating.”

• Convent parking with good security was very helpful.
• The staff at the hooters (located in the hotel) was not very friendly.

• Location (close to foods and shopping and attractions), restaurants in hotel.
• Price was high for a non strip casino.

“Hotel was great! They upgraded us to a mini-suite with out asking and the staff was very attentive. We used to live a few miles away and went there often to dine and gamble. I always win there!”

• Everything we needed was there.
• We did not get the adjacent room we requested because we had a handicap person with us.

“The staff at this hotel is incredibly friendly and accommodating! When we could not get the adjacent room we requested. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs the best they could. I would absolutely stay there again!”

• It was even nicer than we expected, a very pleasant surprise! We will most definitely stay there again!

• Clean, quiet, safe, good amenities Close freeway access.
• Sheets could be better quality. No microwave etc.

“When we checked in 2 queen beds were not available. When I called to get two roll outs. I was able to talk to the manager who moved us to a room with 2 queens. Don't know if the desk clerk was looking for some cash or what. Other than that the staff was very friendly and attentive. Lesson learned , always ask for the manager.”
