• It was clean, quiet and
  close to restaurant.
• I would have liked a pool.

“The room was large, quiet. There was a kitchen area, which we didn't use, but under different circumstances, more family members, that would have been great. Staff was very nice, willing to help us out with directions etc.”

• Loved the kitchen facilities, it saved me a lot of money.
• I was a bit off the strip without transportation and the only way to travel was by cab. A bit expensive, but knew that going in.

“The hotel was clean, in a safe place and provided excellent service, calling for a taxi when I needed one and provided a discount at the local Denny's next door for breakfast. I would stay here again.”

• The location was pretty good, the hotel had low-priced internet access.
• The bedding was a bit worn out.

“It's located about 2 miles off the strip. If there is a weekend that prevents you from using your usual hotels (on this weekend, there was a NASCAR race and the Country Music Awards), this simple suite is adequate to give you a place to rest when you aren't playing in Las Vegas. The rooms are inexpensive and practical (refrigerator, internet, stove, microwave, and utensils), so you can stay in, if that's your thing.”

• The hotel was near the strip (3 miles) and relatively cheap. Yet, I still felt taken.
• The hotel reminded me of Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang.

“This hotel is only for the strong of heart and those who take a bath as the shower did not even work! Be prepared to sweat away the night in a run down version of the Bates Motel. What did I expect for sixty-six bucks a night? I expected a clean room.”

“The rooms at the Homestead were clean and well-lit. For someone who just needs a quiet place to stay in Vegas, this is an excellent choice. The staff was friendly and helpful. You have to do your own housekeeping, as this is an extended-stay motel.”

• The young lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
• It stunk like cigarettes, it was filthy dirty, and there was no soap.

“This hotel is in a very hard to find location, it is smelly and dirty, the maids do not clean the rooms very well, there is no soap or shampoo. Overall, it looks like the hotel is falling apart. The only positive thing was the front desk managers are friendly and helpful.”

• Nice, clean, convenient, nice kitchen.
• This is an extended stay hotel with kitchen. As such, did not have some of the amenities of an overnight hotel, such as breakfast.

“At the time we stayed, there apparently was a shortage of desk staff. The desk was unstaffed late at night- luckily we checked in earlier in the day- if we had arrived late, we could not have gotten in as the door was locked and no staff present.”

• Great bed! Wonderful support and softness.
• The bathtub would not drain! It was really gross because we had just returned from hiking.

“I was very disappointed that the room was not properly maintained. The bathtub did not drain when we were showering. We ended up standing in ankle deep water in our own filth. We had just returned from camping at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and had completed a very challenging hike. We were very dusty and ready for a shower. This was a disappointment. I called the front desk and there was no maintenance until the next morning. All I needed was some Drano!”

• The room was huge and the bed was awesome!
• They were remodeling and front entrance was closed.

“We were pleasantly surprised the room was awesome had a big TV that could be viewed from the bed and the living area they were remodeling but heard no construction noise the 3 days we were there.”

• The room was fully equipped with fridge cook top etc and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The room itself was not very clean - bathroom in need of repair.

“For a king size bed and a full kitchen, this hotel, in Vegas, was fine for the price. Cleanliness is the most important thing to me and in this regard, our room was not what I would consider clean. The towels smelt like smoke, even though I think the hotel is supposed to be smoke-free, and you could tell it hadn't been cleaned well after the last people left. Maybe it was just the room we got, because the main areas of the hotel were pretty good, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay more than we did. That being said, the front-desk staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the stay better, but I probably wouldn't go back.”

• I like the security of the hallway inside and the card swipe to get into the hotel after hours.
• The alarm panel in the lobby was in alarm and would not stop.

“The room has everything you need for a short stay. It's clean and the furniture is in good shape. It's close enough to the strip, but far enough away that you don't get all the traffic.”

• Clean, convenient, adequate parking, ease of use, full kitchen, no complaints.
• I have nothing to complain about with this hotel.

“A nice clean place to stay for the business person; convenient to Sunrise Hospital and surrounding medical facilities. Also convenient to UNLV, just a few blocks away. Not a good tourist location except for those with their own transportation and no alternatives. Cost effective and reasonably quiet.”

• Having a pantry vs. a vending machine was nice.
• Lack of shampoo in the room.

“This property is about as comfortable as home. I had forgotten my wireless card, and sure enough, for a small fee (less than a cup of coffee) I could rent a wireless bridge for accessing the internet. The space was always clean, the elevators were quick, and everything worked as expected. Highly recommend for a longer trip as there is a kitchenette in each room.”

“The staff when we arrived was pleasant but didn't inform us of the rules of the hotel, i.e., they don't CLEAN THE ROOM. When we asked for our room to be freshened the staff was rude and dismissing. No hairdryer in the room, squeaks and other noises all night. Wouldn't refill coffee packs... unpleasant experience.”

• Hallway was noisy in the middle of the night.

“The hotel was close to the strip but far enough away from it that you didn't have the congestion of the traffic. It had a stove and a refrigerator and good parking facility. It's close to the hospital and major stores. In all, it was a very convenient place. Also, good price for the money. It was well worth it.”
