  • Location.
  • Walls too thin. Old feeling to hotel.

“Overall staff was excellent. Hotel needs some upgrades. Had musty old smell, very small elevators, hallways could use better lighting, worst part was hearing cleaning crew about 9 am vacuuming, moving furniture, and hearing voices through the walls. Hard to sleep in. Location was excellent, and within walking distance of everything.”

  • They removed the resort fee when we complained.
  • This place (Westin) was dirty, smelled like dogs, and was absolutely not 4 stars.

“Dirty. The carpet was ripped and stained, the room smelled like dogs. The front desk checked us into a room 3 doors down from an active police incident (we requested and were granted a room change).”

  • Nothing, dumpy, scratch marks everywhere. Unclean.
  • Also, added an extra fee for amenities of hotel on top of priceline quote.

“The only reason to stay at the Westin Casuarian is if it was the last hotel with rooms in Vegas. Rooms at Xcaliber, Flamingo and other low brow hotels on the strip would be a better.”

  • They charged me more fees, the TV in our room didn't turn off, mold in bathroom, hour wait to check in, next to an abandoned lot filled with vagrants!

“This hotel is not the star quality as indicated. We waited almost an hour to check in, very small casino and most games were closed, our room had mold in the bathroom and our TV didn't shut off. Getting to the strip required quite a walk and you had to go past an empty lot (except for vagrants and empty bottles) which made interesting for walking back to the hotel at night. On top of that they charged us a service fee to stay at their hotel that made it pricier per night than to stay at a true 4 star on the strip at regular price. Don't bother! They didn't when we told them our concerns.”

  • Nothing comes to mind.
  • The manager was rude and indifferent to my displeasure.

“This hotel was horrible. There was no soap in the room for the first 2 days. The safe was missing from the room and they could not find a replacement. They also charged a $15/day resort fee for no discernible service. When I told the manager about my unhappiness, he refused to do anything and said he was OK with a bad review because no one reads them. Avoid this place if you can.”

“Door frames off, had to change room due to horrible body odor smell, shower leaking, just poorly maintained property. Stains in hallway carpets will never stay at this hotel.”

“the worst 4 star experience........bathroom was very bad... water in the tub is not soaking... complained twice... no one too see that.... they came when i am checking out....unnecessary fees ......they say that these fees are not included at the time of reservation... they are charged at the time of authorisation of card and check in....now i understand how do u and they do business”

  • Quiet hotel in a good off strip location.
  • The hotel had run down and dirty common areas.

“This is a 3 star hotel in a prime off strip location. The hotel is definitely not 4 stars. It barely has 4 star amenities and a lot of the hotel is run down or unkempt. The pool area is nice but very small for an 800 room hotel. Supposedly the hotel is non-smoking, but the casino does allow smoking and that seems to empower smokers to light up through out the hotel.”

“This hotel is
not on the Vegas strip. If you are looking for the Vegas experience then you may want to pick another hotel. Other than that the hotel was beautiful. Everything was clean. The food was excellent. I have never felt a more comfortable bed in a hotel.”

  • Room service was slow. Service charge.

“They tried to charge me a 16 hotel fee in addition to price line's fees. The man at check in said this fee was optional if we wanted to use the hotel services. We declined but they charged us anyway. The man at checkout said he would reverse the charge but was still charged for it! We ordered breakfast and it was supposed to take 30 minutes. It was so late that we had to cancel the order and eat elsewhere.”

  • Poor location. Ugly on the outside. Bad casino. Too far from the action for the price.

“This hotel is located a huge block from the strip. There´s a lot of construction going on 24/7 in the area and the noise is crazy. We wanted to stay on the strip however, it is a 15 minute walk, through construction. The hotel itself is not anything more than 3 stars. The casino is tiny. There are all those beautiful hotels for the same price or less, on the strip, and paying the same price for the Causarina was terrible! Ugly, poor location, at best 2.5 stars. Never again!”

  • We had an additional charge of $16 per night and breakfast was expensive as well.

“It was a very nice hotel. The workout room was clean. The bedding was comfortable and very clean (I almost always remove any comforter in hotels, but I actually slept under it here). The bathroom had plenty of towels, but there was no key to the mini bar in the room. Negatives would be the $16/night charge assessed at check in. Overall it was very nice for a two night vacation.”

  • I loved the bed and the comforters.

“I had a wonderful stay at the Westin. The room was given had an awesome view of The Strip. It was clean and comfortable and the shower was awesome. The bed was so comfortable my husband and I both wanted to take the bed home with us! We slept so well, we almost didn't want to get out of bed. I would definitely staying there again.”

  • It had a Starbucks in the lobby (even though it was way overpriced).
  • The location, the staff, the pool was terrible (one look and I didn't go in). Worst experience in a long time.

“This way by far one of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. The only other one worse was a motel that the shower head fell out of the wall and the toilet wouldn't flush. The bed was comfortable and that was the only thing going for it. The road work was loud all night long, they had the entrance blocked and lanes shut down making it nearly impossible to get in and out. The pool was disgusting. The staff was rude. I have never felt this way all the times I stayed at the New York, the Marriott, or even a La Quinta Inn or Holiday Express. I would have had a much more pleasant stay at a Holiday Express.”

  • Dogs allowed, barking in next room. Dirty bathtub, thin walls.

“The hotel in itself is not bad, however it is definitely not a four star hotel. There were signs of wear and tear everywhere, from the elevators to the bathrooms. Also, the room was small and the bathroom was tiny. The beds and pillows were comfortable though. My main gripe was the $15/day resort fee which was tacked on at the end. It would have been nice to have been informed of this fee beforehand.”

“This hotel was a perfect place to stay while visiting Las Vegas. The room was very relaxing. There was an honor bar in the room as well as an in room safe. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.”

  • Friendly front desk staff.
  • Bathroom was
    dirty and sink backed up.

“The front desk staff was very courteous and friendly. There were 4 inch holes in the hotel room floor that were covered with a thin carpet only- felt like drain holes. Also the sink backed up whenever anyone in an adjoining room showered or flushed the toilet and left nasty brown residue in the sink.”

  • Bathrooms were nice beds were comfortable valet staff outside were terrific.
  • Too far from the strip, hard to get a cab because of this and to far to walk anywhere if wearing high heels.

  • Off the Las Vegas Strip a bit, felt safe with my kids.
  • Overcharged for free parking at $16.11/day.

“The pool was closed, the hot tub did not have a functioning motor so the bubbles were not there, and the shower in our room had to be fixed for an hour at midnight on our third night to attempt to have hot water. The shower was not repaired & we had no hot water on night #3.”

“The hotel staff was friendly and professional. Having a Starbucks inside the hotel was a HUGE plus. We will not recommend anyone to use it due to their lack of customer service when I called to complain.”

  • Not sure how it ended up in group of hotels on the strip.

“The heater wasn't working at first, it was blowing cold air but the next day we turned on the air conditioner and left the room and when we came back it was over 80 degrees in the room because it was blowing hot air. Apparently you can't use both the heater and air conditioner.”

  • Suede restaurant overpriced food not that great.

“Overall an excellent alternative to the higher priced strip hotels. Great location, good service classy lobby, nicely designed. Comfortable, well appointed rooms. Comfortable beds. Excellent staff and service. A bit disappointed with the Suede Restaurant. Had breakfast there. Ala carte eggs and OJ. Had to send the eggs and the toast back, they were cold, a bit slow on the service and a bit pricey. I know they feature the buffet and I can't comment on that as we decided on just the ala carte menu, but I was disappointed with the food. Oh well, maybe we just got a bad day. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone, besides the one disappointment (which could happen anywhere), we had a great time and were treated with class. Thanks.”

  • Convenient to all meetings scheduled for this trip.
  • Charged an additional $16.50 per day for hotel amenities which I could not take advantage of.

“This hotel was wonderful but the last day I found a charge for over $80.00 extra for hotel amenities. I was upset and had them take this off my bill as I was not aware of this extra charge.”
