“They charged me a 15X daily service fee on top of my paid price. They didn't tell me about this fee until I was checking out and then rudely refused to do anything about it. The manager was extremely rude. Additionally, there may have been mites in the bed. I got about 30 bites in the two days I stayed here. So did my girlfriend.”

  • $15 daily surcharge for nothing I wanted, homeless people outside front door, unfriendly front desk staff, and dark dingy decor.

“Do not stay here. This is not a 4 star hotel. It is far from everything with empty littered lots on both sides and homeless drunk people loitering in them. The desk staff
was unfriendly. The decor is dark and dingy and unpleasant including the restaurant. The swimming pool is tiny with a view of cement and the smell of cigarette smoke. The worst problem is the $15 surcharge per day, plus tax. This is supposed to be for a bottle of water in your room, a paper delivered daily (except not Saturday / Sunday), printing a boarding pass for guests, use of the Spa (which is not free) and use of the pool. The free wine and beer each night is a nice idea except the surroundings are so depressing I avoided it. I would not stay here at half the price.”

  • The bed was very comfortable and cozy. Made a difference.
  • A flat screen and a stereo to put my ipod would have been sweet.

“I come to expect any Westin property to meet a very high standard in hotel accommodations. This property was right in line with my expectations. The staff was friendly, the facilities were clean and up to date, and the overall experience was very good. I will stay here the next time I go to vegas.”

  • Food and staff at the Suede was great.
  • Blind sided us with a $15 resort fee!

“Front desk service spotty. Only one of the three agents was helpful and friendly. The other two did not help us at all. The hotel blind sided us with a $15 resort fee which was supposed to include a daily paper. No paper delivered on Friday. When I requested it the next day, they said that the daily paper is not available on the weekend. I should have gone down the street and paid less than half the cost of the hotel. And that was a true 4 star hotel.”

  • Unable to sleep because of noise of air conditioning vent.

“The vacant lot between this hotel and the strip had groups of homeless drunks at all hours of the day and night. My wife did not feel safe walking alone from the hotel to the strip. The noise of air conditioning vent (not the air conditioning for the room) was excessive.”

  • Nothing.
  • Bad service, did not keep their promises.

“This is a bad place to stay. I was promised a free breakfast for that, but at the end of my stay I ended up paying for that breakfast. Their are also many hidden charges at check-out time. They wanted to charge me another 15 plus tax for a hotel service fee. I did not use anything there then my bed ans shower at this hotel. I didn't get a paper use the pool or the hotel gym and you had to pay 20 dollars a day for an entire day use of the Internet. I would not recommend this hotel bad service and false promises were made by the management.”

  • That it was a Westin and nice small casino.
  • The staff, security, size of rooms.

“Sink in bathroom was clogged and not working, they refused to change rooms and insisted on having a repairman come to the room. We had to leave and upon returning back to our room the sink was fixed but the repairman left our hotel room door open and didn't latch it all the way. Nothing was missing out of our room but when reporting to hotel staff they shrugged it off and said that we were lucky that nothing was missing.”

  • Comfy bed and friendly front desk staffs.
  • Housekeepers kept knocking at our door and even tried to open the door and get in on the check out date which is unprofessional!

“Even though the hotel and the casino's small and the pool is way too small, but the bed is really comfy for a good rest after a long day of fun in Vegas. But what made me so mad is that one of the housekeepers tried to open up the door three times in the early morning at 8am on the last day of our stay in the hotel even after I told her that we were checking out at 12 noon. That's really unacceptable. But finally the manager promised to talk to the housekeepers and make sure it won't happen again. Afterall, it is not a bad hotel.”

  • The bed, linens, and pillows were so comfortable!
  • The insulation was not good so I was able to hear the neighbors and their kids in the morning.

“The hotel was everything I had hoped it would be. The bed, linens, and pillows were fabulous. I had no problem sleeping on this bed. The casino was small but intimate which meant I could move around wherever I wanted without hassle. The restaurant was disappointing. It was very pricey (my husband and I ended up paying $45 for breakfast) and the food was not that good. The wait staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. I LOVED that the hotel area is smoke-free. Also, this hotel is very pet friendly. I did not travel with my dogs on this trip but if you are going to have pets, I would recommend this hotel. They are very accommodating to pets and owners here. The only problem I had was that the connecting door for the room next to us had no isolation so I was able to hear my neighbors and their children.”

  • They hit us with a $15 per day for parking, newspaper, weight room etc. I complained they did not tell me and would not pay it. They waived the charge.

  • Happy Hour and Managers reception and Super comfortable bed and pool open till 2am plus in room coffee.
  • Dirty carpet.

“The Westin surprised us with most comfortable bed ever. It also had a great happy hour for those that like to gamble and a free food and drink reception to get you started. The employees were very nice and the pool was open till 2 am.”

  • The room was nice.
  • The staff is rude, they fee you to death WITHOUT telling you upfront.

“This hotel is fine for business travel the rooms are attractive. The staff is rude. They put a $15 per day plus tax on the charge card without EVER discussing there was going to be a fee just to breathe the air in the hotel. I complained and got it taken off. The location is fine, the bathroom is fine. I didn't use any other facilities.”

  • Pretty laid back if you come with kids, beds are comfortable.
  • This is not a 4 star hotel, not even close. Dirty carper in the corridors and rooms, outdated TVs, small room and bathroom.

“I got this hotel at Priceline. I thought I got a good deal, 4 star on the strip. Well, the hotel is definitely not a 4 star, not anywhere near, and not on the strip, although it is only couple of blocks away. I came with my kids, it would have been perfect as hotel is really quiet and not smoky. Room was small, as was the bathroom. Furniture was ugly, carpet stained. Pool was really tiny. Restaurant did not look nice at all. The only thing was a really short walk from parking to the room, unlike other places we stayed at in Vegas.”

  • Not as chaotic as other Vegas hotels, free drinks at happy hour.
  • That it wasn't like other Vegas hotels. There was no Vegas/resort feel.

  • Close to strip and monorail.
  • Tried to charge me an extra for nothing extra, I received.

“Clean, but not fancy by Vegas standards. Probably good for business travelers, not so much for families. Staff was not the best. Tried to charge me extra. Won't seek this hotel out on next trip,but it was close to the monorail stop at the Flamingo once we found it. Would not consider it a 4 star hotel.”

  • Pool was very unclean. Hotel smelled like dogs and cats as it is a pet friendly hotel.

“I checked in at the front desk on Friday and got the key and left just so they couldn't rent the room to someone else. I ended up staying at the Luxor instead on Friday night. Saturday night we decided to actually stay at the Westin and we wanted to go for a swim, bad idea. I refused to get in the pool. The towels were dirty. There was garbage laying all around the pool. In the pool was toilet paper. It just reined the night for me. The staff were friendly, the casino was quiet and the restaurant was nice. The elevators smelled like pets. The halls smelled like pets. The cleaning ladies were cleaning all day/night long and were loud.”

  • I really liked the bed, very comfortable.
  • It was to far away from the strip, also the room next to us had two small dogs that kept barking all night.

“Beware this is a dog friendly hotel, my wife and I had to listen to barking dogs all night. Other then that the room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. I was disappointed that the strip was a long walk, especially in the Vegas heat 105 degrees when we were there.”

“Off the strip, nice rooms. All public areas smelled of smoke. Zero Vegas energy as the hotel seemed more like a ghost town than a casino. Additionally, this is the first time ever that a hotel hit me with a per-night service fee that was not included in the room fee.”

  • The Spa is wonderful.
  • Hallway carpeting on our floor was dirty.

“Beautiful ski in, ski out lodging. Year-round outdoor pool and hot tub were terrific. Outdoor Grills were easy to use. The kids had a blast. The staff was friendly but slow when given a request. The best part of our stay was this location right on the mountain and in the center of the action. Plan to go again!”

  • Room obviously had a cat in it at some point. Had an extreme allergic reaction.

“This hotel should not allow pets end of story. Many people have severe allergies like myself. I will not stay at this establishment again and may never use priceline again simply because of this experience. It was horryfying and I almost ended up in the hospital with an athsma attach.”

  • I enjoyed the proximity to the strip while not being right on.
  • The cleanliness. A 4* property should have clean hallways and clean showers at least. This had neither.

“The Westin Casuarina Las Vegas is nicely decorated, has a decent small casino, and has a fairly good location right off the Strip. However, the room wasn't very clean and the shower EXTREMELY moldy. The hallways had stains and debris. For as much as I paid for this 4* property, I expected much more. I was definitely disappointed.”

  • The bed was very comfortable and the location was OK.
  • They charged for everything! Even if you did not use the service. There were cobwebs on the ceiling.

“Our room had a popcorn ceiling with cobwebs stuck in it. It does not have a mini fridge that you can use. There is one in the room, but if you pop the seal, even to put leftovers in it and not take their things, you get charged. We checked in an hour after check in was allowed and there were only 2 people at the desk - long lines! It was an OK place to stay, the bed was very comfortable.”

  • this was a 2.5 star hotel in vegas. i should have negotiated for a 4 start through some other site.

“The hotel was next to a bar and convenience store off of the main strip. Not such a good neighborhood. The room was small and nothing special. Hotel staff were helpful. The room was clean. A 2.5 star rating for Vegas.”

  • Shower and Thermostat didn't work. Not as nice as website looked.

“From the beginning this trip was a disaster. Room would not reach a temperature over 67 degrees even with space heaters brought into the room. Shower didn't work. Was relocated into another room that somebody already occupied. Hotel tried charging for space heaters. Hotel charged a daily room service fee which I'm not sure why. Pool was small and didn't have an outside bar.”

  • The hotel staff was very nice, professional and accommodating.
  • The pool area was way too small for the amount of people that wanted to use it.

“The hotel staff was wonderful. Pool & Jacuzzi too small. Spa facility was nice, had no Jacuzzi. Small casino in lobby so it's not too busy and easy to get to elevators to rooms without going through a mile of the hotel when you're tired. Not a lot of great views from the rooms. Overall OK hotel.”

“Overall staff was excellent. Hotel needs some upgrades. Had musty old smell, very small elevators, hallways could use better lighting, worst part was hearing cleaning crew about 9 am vacuuming, moving furniture, and hearing voices through the walls. Hard to sleep in. Location was excellent, and within walking distance of everything.”
