“Stayed in the West Wing and I felt a bit isolated and the walk to the room was very long. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, but the lighting was poor near the closet and desk. Lots of choices for dining and it was nice having the Grand Canyon market next door for sundries. As a non-smoker after a few days, I was tired of the second-hand smoke exposure. The pools were great, but I wish the guests were asked to remove their towels if they were done for the day. I saw many lounge chairs that were empty for hours with just a towel hanging on them and guests looking for someplace to sit. Location was fantastic and after a couple of days the isolation I felt in the West Wing was a nice getaway from all the action. I would stay again at the MGM Grand, but I think two nights of Vegas is plenty.” Mar 9, 2009 by

“They switched us to one marquee suite with two king beds, with a promise to bring two extra rolling beds ASAP. Ashes in the bathrooms, sticky counter tops, stains on beds, etc. Extra beds arrived at 7am (6 hours after checking in). We did not sleep that night. Flooded, shower and tub regurgitated foul smelling water. Water everywhere. Porter arrived after two calls/3 hours. They mopped the floors but forgot to fix problem. Maid service never came. Carpets molding. Room smells like rotting sea turtle corpse. We did not sleep that night. Master suite bathroom tub backs up at 5am. Green/brownish water coming up from drain and not subsiding. Smells like 2 rotting turtle corpses now. Everyone is awoken by the smell.” Oct 27, 2008 by

“Room west wing was too small and dark; long walk no value for money. Got large room but old bed room, must be refurbished TV only 3 channels dirty carpet etc.” Sep 11, 2008 by
Michele from La Mesa, CA
“The hotel room was outdated by 20 years. The room overlooked the lower roof and trash bins so we had no view whatsoever.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Leigh from San Diego, CA
“Very clean, updated and classy hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location on the south strip was full of action. We saw Cirque du Soleil and were very impressed with the production of this show. The restaurants and buffet were good. The pools were nice, fun and clean. My son and I spent an afternoon on the lazy river and had a blast. The thing that impressed me the most was that the rooms were so clean and not a trace of smoke. The beds and pillows were soft enough to get a good night's sleep but could have been a little softer (a little to firm for my liking).” Aug 31, 2008 by

“I will never stay at the MGM Grand! I stayed at the MGM Grand quiet recently. I arrived happy and excited to the check in with my boyfriend, as the whole trip was just starting. They tell us that we have received an upgrade. We are perplexed, and excited to see the new up graded room. We have a great trouble finding this room, but eventually wonder into a dark depressing bar which I would name Gorham City, and finally find elevators that lead to our section of MGM, in infamous, The West Wing. Think of Beauty and the Beast were Bell shouldn't go into the Beast's secret dark quarters. The elevator dings, and we inter the hallway to the second floor with grey walls, carpet, and ceiling were entrapping the entire hallway. There are no decorations or elaborate designs as you would expect most hallways to have in Vegas. It put one in an office feeling as you're going to work. A place, I believe, no one wants to be when they travel to Las Vegas. Finally, my boyfriend opens the door to our room and we enter though a bathroom with no doors! Walking past the bathroom we enter the bedroom with a shoebox space, and wonderful view of the parking lot! We are so tired at this point as it is very late from a delayed flight that we decide not to go and complain as they told us we could change rooms in the morning to the room we should have had. In the morning we are woken to a generator outside our room with people talking, and a closet light facing our room that would not turn off. After taking a shower, and the water leaking everywhere onto the slippery floor, there was no place for a woman to do her daily routine in privacy! Every little nose can be heard from the bed as one is in the bathroom. After getting ready to leave, my boyfriend and I look at the sheets and see some dead insects! There were even feathers from the down comforter scattered about, which my boyfriend is allergic to! Speaking of sheets the room only had one sheet and one blanket in the whole room! This was my worst experience while staying at a place other than my home! I would rather be camping in the Alaskan Tundra. We go and complain at the front desk, and I tell them everything that happened, and all they say is I'm sorry about that and it doesn't matter which one you get when you come, even if you were supposed to get a certain type of room. They also tell us that the room we stayed at did have a different floor plan, but with its new accommodations it was actually more an expensive room on their room listings. So we finally switched back the second night to our room and it was much improved. We had a better view and there was a door to our bathroom. There was much more space and a better style overall. I was still very upset from the whole lies about the so called upgrade from the night before. Though the price may be more expensive, it was not an upgrade in any means! Even though we had the room we should have had the second night, I will still never go back to the MGM grand as they treated us with no respect! Also, another saddening moment at the MGM Grand is when we went to the pool that flows like a river, the lazy river, I believe it's called. The pool was incredibly crowded, and I will never go back. If you have a kid, you would not want them to be here as there are drunken people everywhere holding drinks in their hands, and laving them out in the same place as children! I saw a boy walking away from the pool because he got hurt, and was crying and holding his arm. It's just not the most desirable place to be in my perspective.” Aug 30, 2008 by

“I really enjoyed my experience at the MGM Grand. It definitely lived up to my expectations of a Vegas hotel. The staff was helpful and courteous, the food was good, the shows were amazing, and the casino was right there.” Aug 28, 2008 by
Greg from Washington, DC
“This hotel was what you expect from a 4-star hotel on the strip. It met expectations but did not exceed them.” Aug 26, 2008 by

“Over all staying in the MGM Grand was a very pleasant experience.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Frank from Norwalk, CA
“Room was big but the furniture was worn and old and the TV's need to be updated to flat panel in a suite. TV station selection was very limited.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Christina from Whitestone, NY
“I went to MGM for my sister's 30th birthday with a group of 25 people. The check-in desk did their best to get all of our rooms close together and were quick acting whenever contacted, i.e.: for extra towels, room service, etc. The fast food places were good for lunches and the restaurants in the hotel were nice too. The pool area has a lazy river, an area for children, and a 21 and over area called Wet Republic. The pool was great, but I never made it into the Wet Republic because it was $175.00 to rent a lounge chair for one person, yes $175.00 for a lounge chair or get this a better deal $750.00 for a table with 2 bottles of liquor. My friends and I thought that was a bit much for a pool, but I hope you have fun if you ever make it in there. Overall, my stay at MGM was great. There's something for everyone to do. Our group ranged in age from 23 to 60 and everyone had something to do throughout the day.” Aug 20, 2008 by

“An amazing hotel, 6,000 rooms approximately like a maze finding your way around therefore not very personal. However very clean and well maintained. Make sure to specify non smoking room if you are a non smoker.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Kathy from Anaheim, CA
“We really loved the hotel. Great location, wonderful beds, and we also really enjoyed the Lazy River pool. Look forward to going again.” Aug 12, 2008 by

“Beautiful and huge! It has everything so it is super convenient. Food/drinks can be pricey, but that is Las Vegas now. Cirque de Soleil show KA is right in hotel and is wonderful. Lots of stuff within walking distance and monorail is under hotel.” Aug 4, 2008 by
Ab from Turlock, CA
“Disappointed, housekeeping did not clean rooms well, even after I left tips. Long lines for everything, from buffet to waiting for elevators. Bath tub did not drain well, no fan in bath room, air circulation was very poor in the room.” Aug 4, 2008 by
Marcio from Long Beach, CA
“The hotel is great - my overall experience was good and very pleasant. Hotel is clean, huge and with several options for entertainment. I just think they lacked common sense at one time, when they woke me up to switch the phone device in the room. The whole hotel had to switch the phone, but I believe they could have waited for a better time.” Jul 28, 2008 by
Selvan from Markham, ON CA
“Overall MGM is a luxury hotel.” Jul 28, 2008 by

“Convenient parking, Professional helpful staff, clean spacious and upscale suites. Multitude of shopping, dining and leisure. Renovated and well kept. Signature towers are a couple of blocks from the main south strip.” Jul 17, 2008 by
Cassandra from Las Vegas, NV
“We had so many problems with this hotel. We stayed at hotels all the time and never had it this bad. This was a special surprise for my fiance. I arrived and figured out that there had already been someone assigned to our room and then moved because of the air conditioning. We came back at 1 am and the hallway was like an oven. We called down to guest services. They offered to move us, which they did. The new room was no better because it had been turned up to 80 degrees, literally. While waiting for the room to cool off, we went to the casino and returned at around 5 am. We pulled back the sheets and found about 7-9 old stains. We called down and they finally sent someone up to change the sheets. It wasn't until close to 6am that we were able to go to bed. We called down for a late check out because of the situation, and they actually gave us a hassle, when I thought surely they'd at least offer an extra night on them. We won't ever go back to the MGM and we certainly won't recommend it to any of our friends or family who come to visit.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jul 16, 2008 by

“The hotel was great. I had tremendous luck at the roulette table. I went to a few of the shows. The Wet Republic ultra pool lounge was super fun with some of the best looking people in Vegas dancing and sun bathing. There was plenty to do inside MGM. Studio 54 is a must for people who like the night scene.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Lisa from La Puente, CA
“For the price it wasn't what it should have been. At check in time of 3:00 pm the rooms were not ready and we had to wait, we had 2 rooms one for me, my 2 daughters. The other for my husband and 2 sons, their room was left in disarray, you could smell smoke, alcohol was left in there etc.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 10, 2008 by

“This hotel is centrally located which is great to go around the city. The rooms need some upgrades, especially the drainage. Staff was friendly.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Nicholas from Lynnwood, WA
“Late check in. Hotel tried to make us pay for a upgrade. Not good and will not go back on my dollar ever again.” Jul 7, 2008 by
Mary from Lancaster, CA
“The hotel was clean and well run. The staff was friendly and accommodated some of our specific needs very quickly. The bed was also very comfortable. Be aware if you have allergies that the pillows and bedding are all stuffed with feathers. However, the shower head had too much water pressure and was somewhat painful. Overall, a positive experience and I would stay again.” Jun 29, 2008 by
Jackie from El Cajon, CA
“We had a great time, staff was great, location great, so many pools! Right on the monorail and close to bus stops for those who like to avoid cabs. Also gave us a great room upgrade to a celebrity spa suite. The breakfast at the hotel cafe was less than great - hash browns tasted like plastic. That's my only critique.” Jun 9, 2008 by
Anne from Westlake, OH
“The hotel met my expectations and is a great place for Las Vegas strip!” Jun 5, 2008 by
Matt from Glenside, PA

Dena from Bishop, CA
“The bed and pillow was amazing. I love the black body pillow.” May 29, 2008 by
Joyce from Apple Valley, CA
“All was good except the check in. When we bought dinner and show tickets, the restaurant did not have confirmation of our reservations either. After dinner and the show which was exceptional I had gotten sick in the middle of the night thought the next morning till check out. Thought I might have gotten food poisoning at the Seablue restaurant as that was our only meal for the evening.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 29, 2008 by

Diana from San Antonio, TX
“Over all it was nice people were friendly (employees).” May 25, 2008 by

“Oh, I did find it unusual not to have a coffee pot in the room. Hate to call for room service just for coffee or tea. They did provide a hair blower which was more important.” May 13, 2008 by
Pip from Victoria, BC
“Fabulous value for money, upgrade to Celebrity Spa suite which was awesome, huge room, lovely views.” Apr 28, 2008 by
Wendy from Gresham, OR
“You would barely have to leave the hotel to get all of the Vegas experience. From the lions on display, to the great restaurants to shopping and gambling. The hotel had every amenity other than coffee makers or refrigerators in the room.” Apr 22, 2008 by
Paola from Arleta, CA
“Had a great honeymoon!” Apr 18, 2008 by
Nicholas from Chicago
“The lady who checked us in was very rude in the beginning. Her temper changed after a few minutes and she gave us a very nice strip view 18th floor room. I don't know why she behaved like that but it is a pretty bad first experience wit the MGM staff. Rooms are very nice and clean. We stayed there for two nights which was way to short. It is a long walk to the pool area. Expensive restaurants (even the buffets).” Apr 4, 2008 by
Ailien from Downey, CA
“Can't complain. Everything was good.” Apr 4, 2008 by
Dave from Kansas City, MO
“It was Vegas. Everything was perfect the dining the casinos. We had a blast and will be back. I have worked in the hotel industry for eleven years and they by far exceeded my expectations. Loved the pool are.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Brian from Troy, NY
“The MGM is a busy hotel but a big step up in many way's from other hotels on the strip such as Bailey's.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Milo from Cleveland, OH
“It was an okay place to stay but, I was very unimpressed with the level of service that I would expect from a 3 or 4 star hotel. I had a few instances where I felt like I was simply staying at their hotel and not a guest.” Mar 27, 2008 by
Mike from Omaha, NE
“MGM is a good hotel. Everything about it was great. I like how they have the elevators set up so that there is not a wait to reach the higher level floors. Being on Tropicana Blvd it has nice access to the strip as well as Interstates.” Mar 22, 2008 by
Bill from Calgary, AB CA
“Great hotel rooms and public areas. Experience was overall very good; the only drawback was that there always seemed to be a line-up at the front desk.”
