• It's a casino.
• The breakfast buffet.

“The staff was very nice. The check-in lines moved quickly. I was upgraded to a suite. The casino was cool. It was easy to get a taxi. The breakfast buffet was not good. You could tell that many of the items came from a can, especially the fruits and corned beef hash. The breakfast burritos were tiny and formerly frozen. I heard people complaining that there were not enough cups for drinks. The cups were actually set in crates that were deep and stacked on top of each other, which made them hard to see. The condiments were in packets and not bottles. It was just low rent, and they charged $10.95.”

“I had reserved a non-smoking room. This is extortion, in my opinion. The room was awful, the bed was uncomfortable and, of course, smelled of cigarettes. The shower alternated between very hot and very cold water. I hope this hotel is next on the demolition schedule to make room for a more suitable hotel for the Las Vegas Strip.”

• The room they gave us had the best view of the strip with the mountains in the background. It was amazing.
• They did not vacuum our hotel room.

“The concierge was very helpful. The pool area was surprisingly nice. The only really bad thing is that it just looks like an old hotel. Its very dated. The best part of it is the location. It has all the best places to go right near it.”

“I had the worse time in this stinky, dirty and roach infested hotel! I was woken up by security because I left the sliding door open because it stunk. Then the lady gave me poor directions over the phone to hotel, couldn't find it. The buffet was horrible and overpriced.”

• This hotel is very old. Needs major updating.

“This hotel needs some major updating. I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family. It's a great location, but the rooms are in need of major remodeling. The bathrooms are old and the fixtures are broke. The flooring is stained. The rooms are not quiet. The bath towels are old and thin, and the cleaning staff never left enough towels or soap. Check-in was very inefficient, and took some time. This is not an "upscale" star level hotel.”

“The hotel service was horrible, service was non existent. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Valet is a tremendous wait and there were no cars in line. Overall I was disgusted, no one came to clean the room, and I had to call for fresh towels I will tell all my friends and family about this experience so they do not have to go through this.”

• Not over the top and a nice place to go back to sleep which is the most important thing.
• Parking structure a bit cramped hard to maneuver in.

“One of the very few remaining good old school hotel casinos in the hart of the strip giving a real Las Vegas experience the way it used to beef you want an Amusement park go to Disneyland.”

• It was right in the middle of the strip. Perfect location.
• The place was a complete dump with terrible service.

“The rooms are small and shabby. The beds are uncomfortable. Housekeeping never showed up to clean. We had to chase them down for towels. Neither housekeeping nor the front desk would answer the phone when we rang. Service at the restaurants was horrible. The layout of the place made everything hard to get to. It took forever to get an elevator. The casino staff was awesome. The dealers and pit people aimed to please and were fun and entertaining. Cocktail waitresses and bartenders were on the ball. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the fun part of the strip. For a few dollars more, I should have stayed at the flamingo or royal casino. For a few dollars less, I should have stayed at bill's casino and gambling saloon. I will never stay at the imperial palace again.”

• The bed was worn out with one broken leg and tilted.

“The Imperial Palace Hotel is medium to inexpensive and is useful if you just desire a relatively clean and simple room for the night and intend to spend most of your time somewhere else in Las Vegas. Nearly all of the other amenities associated with the hotel (casino, restaurants, entertainment, etc.) can be found at considerably better quality within a half mile walk.”

• The spa accommodations were inexpensive compared to other hotels.
• The hotel did not have very good air circulation. The hotel reeked of smoke. My eyes and throat burned the entire night.

• This was an excellent hotel for our group and nice to stay in convenient to all stores.
• Because it was family friendly it was a little noisy late at night with young children running around.

• The elevators were abysmal. Too many people and only 4 elevators. Time to tear down and start again.

“This hotel is stuck in the 60's. The Rat Pack is dead, so is the decor of this anachronism. I expected better than a Motel 6 (I've stayed in nicer Motel 6's!). The car museum, which used to be a must visit, has turned into the world's most expensive car lot. I expect guys with loud suits and greasy hair to accost me at any moment.”

• It was very central. The staff was very nice.
• The hotel was like a maze. The room service made me sick one night.

“It is ok if you're on a budget, but it should have been even cheaper for what you get. I would not recommend eating in the Hotel because the room service made me sick. It is a little confusing to get around. The shower also does not drain well. This should not be your first choice, but not your exactly your last. It is in a good location. There are also good gambling tables there. So basically, if you don't care about the room, it might be ok to stay here.”

• I asked for two on- smoking rooms. Both rooms were labeled non-smoking. My room reeked with smoke.

“The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean. However, the room my wife and I had smelled of smoke. The room was a non-smoking room. Also, neither room had a coffee maker or refrigerator.”

“Location great with balcony hotel; and casino old and shabby. Room was clean but tired. Arrived at hotel at 1am. Took one hour to check in due to a few slow staff.”

• The staff was unfriendly, the hotel was not at all like the pictures nor the star level rated. Extremely disappointed.

“Other than the location, this hotel was not worth the money. The elevators were either broken or took at least 15 minutes to arrive; at which time they were usually full to capacity. The staff was unfriendly and did not even provide us with the roll away bed we requested for twice. The walls were pealing and the overall look was not 3 stars. We waited for over 45 minutes to receive our food when we visited one of the hotel restaurants and the staff was rude. The club/bar downstairs had awesome music and good crowd but the bar was tiny and only one girl was working. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you plan on being so drunk, you don't know where you are.”

“The Imperial has many things to offer. The pool was very nice. The location was perfect for shopping, dining, night clubs. Most things were within walking distance.”

• Filthy carpets throughout, filthy bathtub, cracked/stained vanity, noise, screaming guest in hall at 6 AM.

“Property is a filthy rabbit warren, feels like a disaster waiting to happen. Carpets are filthy, corridor lighting is dim, same food spillage remained on the hall carpet outside my room all three days of my stay. Linens were yellowed, towels were thin! Bathtub is filthy all around edges, room carpets stained and covered in grimy film wear your shoes. Would never stay here again.”

“This Hotel (Westin) was awful. We moved 3x and all they did was knock off 50.00. We feel like we are deserved a refund. We had to pack up four people 3 times and move.”

• Good location on the strip with the monorail closes by.
• Needs renovation, older furniture and bathrooms slightly rundown.

“The Imperial Palace was in a great location on the strip and was one of the hotels on the monorail network. This made it very convenient to get around. It was an older hotel and so the furnishings were older and the bathroom somewhat rundown. The rooms were clean. The pool was beautiful and our room had a balcony that looked right out onto the pool. The elevators were so slow that we ended up taking the stairs down eight flights to get to our car with luggage. It was probably good for us though after a long night out. Parking was a little inconvenient to get into for a Vegas hotel. Weird layout of the hotel and parking.”

“I will not stay there again. If we could have changed when we arrived without forfeit of the money paid we would have. We had four rooms and since this was many family members. It was extremely embarrassing.”

• This is not a 3-star hotel motel 6 is better.

“The hotels water smelled and black stuff came from the bathroom sink. Next the parking was very far long walking distance from room, the view from window was parking lot and was like a jail cell you can see everyone balcony then at night everyone is screaming from balconies, and putting their shirts up nasty. Terrible bad hotel and smelly. Could not take a bath while staying there for 3 days makes no sense how bad the water is. Had to use babies wipe for my daughter and I to be clean.”

“I will not encourage nor recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. As a matter of fact it would have been better to stay at Motel 6. There was a constant horrible unpleasant stench from smoke, and odors.”

• Not as many "cool" things that the other hotels have. A great place just to sleep and gamble.

• Mirrors on the ceiling and location and mirrors on the ceiling. Yummy.
• The smell in the hallways.

“Excellent location especially for those with their own ground transportation. Easy access to the parking garage via the back street. Front of the casino right in the center of the strip. Couldn't have been a better location possible. Only one $5 blackjack table though which was always crowded with a line waiting. Great pool and mirrors on the ceiling over the bed and the hot tub in the suite :) Bring a pretty girl like I did and you will never leave the room.”

• It was walking distance to everything.
• Everything was fine I was only in room/casino 1/4 of the time in Vegas.

“Nothing fancy with room, view was great off balcony. Would have been nice to have small fridge in room to keep drinks cold. Most of all the good places to go were walking distance or a short cab ride away$283 total for 3 days split 4 ways you cant beat it.”

• A little rough around the edges, more like a "nice motel".

“The location can't be beat, right in the middle of the strip! The elevators and some of the other parts of the IP are rough around the edges (worn - carpets a little dirty, etc) but I hear Harrahs purchased and is renovating the IP (e.g. the new front desk area is not luxury by any account but clean and nice enough for a budget hotel in a great location).”

• It was on the strip.
• It was a little confusing and the room was a tad tacky.

“I wouldnt stay in the hotel again, and I wasnt not fond of the fact I wasnt able to get the military discount that I should have gotten from the hotel. But non-the less, I did have fun, but it wasnt because of the likeness of the hotel but of the strip.”
