“The elevator was filthy, the car park made us feel very uncomfortable to walk though and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they were desperate!” Jul 16, 2008 by
N from Tucson, AZ
“Perfect for doing Vegas on the Cheap.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Ailene from Artesia, CA
“Very much to recommend with friends.” Jul 15, 2008 by
Becky from Lynnwood, WA
“The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very nice & had access to the pool. Not much for kids to do there though.” Jul 10, 2008 by
John from Davenport, IA
“I am very displeased. It did not meet my expectations.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Song from San Jose, CA
“We have to go up to second floor, walk to the end go down first floor and walk way back to the room. We have to do this every time we go out off room. And there is no ice or drink in the first floor.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Nina from Tucson, AZ
“The Imperial Palace is in a prime location and is more than what you need for the price. It has great shops, restaurants, bars and casino. The basic room is very plain and ours had a blah view, but it was clean and comfortable. Perhaps it would be worth the little bit extra for the more deluxe room. Overall, I loved every second of my 3 day stay.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Jones from Burbank, CA
“If you want to be close to the strip this is the hotel for you.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Rithy from Bellflower, CA
“It was very easy to get lost in this hotel. Unlike any other that I've personally attended to. The elevator was always too packed and slow. Most of the time, we walked down the stairs from the 10th floor. We made the bad call of walking up from the lobby to our room, only to find out that the door was locked from the inside - we had to go back down and wait for the elevator.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Craig from Scottsdale, AZ
“The only reason you stay at the Imperial Palace is because of its loaction. Other services at the hotel, like the elevators and the restaurants, are mediocre(sp) at best.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Brook from Wheatland, WY
“We recently celebrated our wedding in the Imperial Palace wedding chapel. Our guests stayed a few additional days, as did we. Upon arrival, staff was very accommodating and worked to make sure all of our guests were near each other or at least on the same floor. The wedding itself was absolutely great. As a bride, I pretty much just had to show up and everything else was taken care of. The ceremony was short and meaningful. We didn't feel like just another number for the hotel or wedding chapel. I also had my make-up and hair done in the hotel. Overall, everything was wonderful. The food at the buffet was not excellent, but was good. The Emperor's Buffet had a large variety of food and you definitely got your money's worth. The Teahouse served affordable and good meals. The casino was clean, the staff friendly and as with most gambling resorts- took our money!. I would recommend the Imperial for anyone who is looking for a nice, clean and fun atmosphere. It is not fancy, but well taken care of and is homey! It offers many amenities and is at a great location on the strip for visiting other casinos.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Ericka from Largo, FL
“The hotel is in a great location. There is close access to the monorail and other hotels. The casino is a little outdated. If you need a nice place to sleep and don't plan on doing a lot of gambling. Imperial Palace is a great place to stay!” Jun 27, 2008 by
Donna from Fort Collins,CO
“Have stayed at Imperial several times and am seeing it slowly deteriorate over the years. The staff was so accommodating and really put forth a tremendous effort despite the entire negative they receive about the hotel. We did experience a TV that was way too small for the room, sounded like everyone was in a vat of water and received no satisfaction in viewing even after calling maintenance (who had to call the TV repair man) not sure if he ever came because nothing looked any different, including the TV. Figured that was not a priority, since we didn't come to Vegas to watch TV anyway. The one thing I definitely think needs changed and updated is the Spa and workout room. Get that service out of the 4th floor attic and get it down close to the pool where people know about it! I think it could really be a neat facility if it were exposed to the clientele. Was a very nice service once we got to the area but for heavens sake, get it out where people can enjoy it. The only other thing I can see that is about 20 years behind schedule is your "Buffet, they need to get someone up in that area and brighten that place up, new carpet, paint, colorful booths and chairs, re-organize the presentation for your food, make it more appealing, and for goodness sake, quit serving the left over from your lauas from the night before. I think the Imperial has a great thing going, but somewhere along the way, some one in charge has lost sight of the little things that make a "resort hotel/casino" special. Remember, a lot of your patrons are people who just want to be treated a little special for the short time they are there and I think with a little TLC and strong leadership and management, Imperial could get back in the running with the "big boys." Do recommend the Imperial, but emphasize it is one of the older hotels with very little done to update and beautify so don't go thinking you are at one of the high dollar establishments and you will get along just fine.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 8, 2008 by

“It is an old hotel undergoing renovation. They try to make all the money they can during this process. They do not care about customers benefits.” Jun 7, 2008 by
Shantieperkash from Miami, FL
“We arrived at 1.45pm, waited 45 minutes in line for check in, only to find out that our room was not available until 4.30pm. Room was large and clean, but decor was very eighties. Bed was ok. Hotel elevators are terribly slow and generally there was a 10-15 minute wait to go either up or down. The pizza place on the 5th floor had a good lunch special. This hotel is not more worth than 2 stars.” Jun 3, 2008 by
Krista from Canal Winchester, OH
“The hotel was what I expected. You could tell that it was older than a lot of the other hotels, but the rooms were comfortable, and there were a lot of dining choices. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is definitely not for you. If you are just looking to have a good time and save some money, this hotel is a good hotel.” May 31, 2008 by
Edgar from Santa Ana, CA
“Disappointed with service, tried to get help with bags and ignored, great location but rooms are small with little amenities. No fridge or coffee machine. Hallways are stuffy and smell and overall hotel is old. Best service I got was from cleaning lady when she checked in on us each day.” May 28, 2008 by
Doreen from Woodland Hills, CA
“Great experience overall. Was upgraded to the penthouse so that was a nice surprise!” May 28, 2008 by
Steve. from Salt Lake City, UT
“Great location, great service.” May 27, 2008 by
Al from Calgary, AB CA
“If you like the low end motel feel this might be place for you.” May 24, 2008 by
Richard from Vista, CA
“Overall experience is good! Hotel staff (maids) very slow in making up rooms.” May 23, 2008 by
Mike from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
“Imperial palace is located in the heart of the Las Vegas strip across from Caesar's Palace. It has a fun oriental theme with a Polynesian dinner show and oriental theme bars. The restaurants are not very good, but there is a good buffet.” May 23, 2008 by
Sara from Fort Collins, CO
“Overall, the hotel was exactly what I was expecting. It was a good place to stay in Vegas because it is located centrally on the strip.” May 18, 2008 by
Stephanie from Corning, CA
“Rooms looked like they were out dated and ready to fall apart, given wrong room number and keys and not anything done to make that better, we had to carry our stuff all over until we found right room took us about 45 minutes not offered any compensation.” May 16, 2008 by
John from Chicago, IL
“Aging casino, only good for the budget traveler.” May 15, 2008 by
Bobby from Santa Clarita, CA
“Nice room, great location. But noisy and Smokey.” May 12, 2008 by
Tara from River Vale, NJ
“Pros: Location, location, location. Friendly staff. Always felt safe. A/C was great after a hot day. Good view of the mountains. Casino had very friendly staff. Good value for the price. Did I mention location? Cons: A poor casino and mediocre hotel. Room was very loud during the day due to outdoor club/bar. Rooms were not made up after we left the room if it was after 10 AM (even if we had the "Make-up Room Please" sign on the door. The sheets were not fitted which is a little pet peeve of mine especially in hotels. You would wake up and the bottom sheet would be skewed and you'd be partially lying on bare mattress! Yuck!” May 11, 2008 by
Rodney from Saginaw, MI
“The rooms that I had was not clean. The rooms were not ready at 3 p.m. check in. Never got to check in until 5 p.m. I ask for non smoking room and got a smoking. The hotel needs to be update.” May 10, 2008 by
Patti from Gig Harbor, WA
“I would not recommend to anyone. At least, we were only there for one night of our trip, the remainder of our stay was at the Monte Carlo. Our non-smoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes. The trip from the parking area to the hotel lobby did not feel safe and some of the areas we had to walk through smelled of human waste! The drains in the bathroom were very slow to almost not working at all and we did not have a shower curtain!” May 9, 2008 by
David from Rochester, MI
“Good value for budget seekers.” May 8, 2008 by
Yazmin from Escondido, CA
“The front desk was very friendly and even gave us a better room than what we were put down for. However, I did not like the parking lot. It is very confusing to get around to the hotel and it takes a while. Convenient casino location because it is on the strip and right across from Caesar's Palace, but horrible parking and hotel location!” May 8, 2008 by
Hayes from Atlanta, GA
“The staff was very nice. The check-in lines moved quickly. I was upgraded to a suite. The casino was cool. It was easy to get a taxi. The breakfast buffet was not good. You could tell that many of the items came from a can, especially the fruits and corned beef hash. The breakfast burritos were tiny and formerly frozen. I heard people complaining that there were not enough cups for drinks. The cups were actually set in crates that were deep and stacked on top of each other, which made them hard to see. The condiments were in packets and not bottles. It was just low rent, and they charged $10.95.” May 8, 2008 by
Celina L. from Norman, OK
“The Imperial Palace is not a 3 star hotel, it was a dump!” May 7, 2008 by
Ronald from Reseda, CA
“If you are looking for a bed and a shower the Imperial Palace is your place.” May 3, 2008 by
David from El Paso, TX
“I had reserved a non-smoking room. This is extortion, in my opinion. The room was awful, the bed was uncomfortable and, of course, smelled of cigarettes. The shower alternated between very hot and very cold water. I hope this hotel is next on the demolition schedule to make room for a more suitable hotel for the Las Vegas Strip.” May 1, 2008 by
Russ from Austin, TX
“Location was great, but the hotel is showing its age, and the cost was not much less then the high priced hotels.” Apr 29, 2008 by
Stephanie M. from Deer Park, NY
“The concierge was very helpful. The pool area was surprisingly nice. The only really bad thing is that it just looks like an old hotel. Its very dated. The best part of it is the location. It has all the best places to go right near it.” Apr 29, 2008 by
Phyllis from Colton, CA
“I had the worse time in this stinky, dirty and roach infested hotel! I was woken up by security because I left the sliding door open because it stunk. Then the lady gave me poor directions over the phone to hotel, couldn't find it. The buffet was horrible and overpriced.” Apr 29, 2008 by
Beverley from Lynchburg, VA
“Very noisy with no coffee pot and broken door.” Apr 28, 2008 by
Les from Pagosa Springs, CO
“Great Location on the strip. Lots of helpful staff around to help.” Apr 24, 2008 by
Christie from Mars, PA
“This hotel needs some major updating. I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family. It's a great location, but the rooms are in need of major remodeling. The bathrooms are old and the fixtures are broke. The flooring is stained. The rooms are not quiet. The bath towels are old and thin, and the cleaning staff never left enough towels or soap. Check-in was very inefficient, and took some time. This is not an "upscale" star level hotel.” Apr 24, 2008 by
Julia from Chino Hills, CA
“The hotel service was horrible, service was non existent. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Valet is a tremendous wait and there were no cars in line. Overall I was disgusted, no one came to clean the room, and I had to call for fresh towels I will tell all my friends and family about this experience so they do not have to go through this.” Apr 20, 2008 by
Jeff from Apopka, FL
“Though I called in advance to confirm a non-smoking room, they were resistant to giving me this room upon arrival.” Apr 18, 2008 by
Trevor from Los Angeles, CA
“One of the very few remaining good old school hotel casinos in the hart of the strip giving a real Las Vegas experience the way it used to beef you want an Amusement park go to Disneyland.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Louie from Saluda, NC
“Standard room Vegas hotel that could use some upgrades for the value.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Percy from Pomona, CA
“It is in a great location. The rooms are in need of a makeover. Good staff and o.k. Parking.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Todd from Torrance, CA
“The rooms are small and shabby. The beds are uncomfortable. Housekeeping never showed up to clean. We had to chase them down for towels. Neither housekeeping nor the front desk would answer the phone when we rang. Service at the restaurants was horrible. The layout of the place made everything hard to get to. It took forever to get an elevator. The casino staff was awesome. The dealers and pit people aimed to please and were fun and entertaining. Cocktail waitresses and bartenders were on the ball. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the fun part of the strip. For a few dollars more, I should have stayed at the flamingo or royal casino. For a few dollars less, I should have stayed at bill's casino and gambling saloon. I will never stay at the imperial palace again.” Apr 16, 2008 by
James from San Diego, CA
“The Imperial Palace Hotel is medium to inexpensive and is useful if you just desire a relatively clean and simple room for the night and intend to spend most of your time somewhere else in Las Vegas. Nearly all of the other amenities associated with the hotel (casino, restaurants, entertainment, etc.) can be found at considerably better quality within a half mile walk.” Apr 15, 2008 by
Bob from Cincinnati, OH
“Overall ok hotel. Restaurants was not the best. Few free amenities.” Apr 15, 2008 by
Lucy from Santa Ana, CA
