• Location was good.
• This hotel was a complete dump!

“If you're looking for a hotel that has dirt in every place possible, then this is the hotel for you! The room was absolutely nasty. We didn't even want to walk on the floor without our shoes on. The bed was so uncomfortable and the sheet didn't even cover the bed. There was hair on the mattress pad that was showing through where the sheet did not reach. If you value your health, please stay somewhere else! The only good thing about the room was that the air conditioner worked really well. This is the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in.”

• Almost nothing. The location was good and they kept the worn out carpet clean. Staff was friendly.
• TV didn't work, room was tiny, pillows were a joke, carpet was worn out, AC was poor, elevators were a nightmare etc.

“Totally in need of renovation or replacement. They try hard to work with what they have but it's a joke. It's a flop house at best.”

• The bell desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful.
• Smoking room; two fresh towels were stained.

“While not updated like most modern Strip hotels, the staff is friendly and the rooms are neat and moderately spacious. The mid-Strip location is hard to beat -- but I could beat the slow elevators up the stairs!”

• Great location, spacious rooms, overall cleanliness.
• WiFi internet was not working much of the time, limited cable TV channels.

“The Imperial Plaza is ideally located right in the center of the Las Vegas strip with monorail access right out the back door, regular cab availability and walking distance to multiple attractions. Rooms were clean and spacious although slightly dated in decor. Only problems we ran into was that the WiFi did not work much of the time and I depend on internet for my business. We would have liked more cable TV choices as well (nothing but news, sports, & networks - would have liked maybe HBO, E!, MTV, Bravo, Oxygen, etc). But then again, we didn't really come to Vegas to watch TV & as for being close walking distance to great shows, shopping, & dining it was perfect.”

“Except for not accommodating me for a nonsmoking room the hotel was a very nice place to stay. The staff was always very informative of what was available around the hotel and if they didn't know would take the time to find out the information and inform me of it. The price for the food at the restaurants was lower in cost than some of the other restaurants in the area but food choice was a little limited. The casino area wasn't what I would consider a full casino but if you like playing the slots they had an ample numbers of different machines to play.”

• The location was great, also the balcony was a great addition.
• The room and bathroom could have been updated.

“The man at the desk was great, offering my choice of strip view or back side. The room had a balcony which directly viewed over the strip toward Caesars Palace. For the price of a central strip hotel this was incredible. Overall the room was clean, but could use a renovation. Overall bang for the buck, this is unbeatable.”

“This hotel is very dated. The furniture and mattresses in the room were old, cheap, and in mediocre quality. The carpet in the hallways and elevators were filthy! The Imperial Palace is not a three star property.”

• Hotel is extremely out dated. Staff was very rude. Hope I never have to stay there again!

“This place is disgusting! The rooms were nasty! Not only was this place horrible but it had the staff to match! We tried eating in the Pizza Palace, the staff seated us and then kept walking by looking at us but never helped us! We left and went to another eatery in the hotel. The food was horrible. Overall it was the worst experience I ever had! Would not recommend this place to anyone!”

“Check-in clerk wasn't very courteous, but housekeepers, security, and check-out clerk were very helpful. Room was clean and neat, except for carpet which was stained and had gum stuck on one spot. Needs more or faster elevators, they constantly at capacity. Casino definitely need updating or made to look more oriental. Same with the restaurants and shops.”

“For the price, it wasn't bad for being right on the Strip but getting to and from our room seemed to take forever. We had to walk all the way through the large Casino area to get to an Elevator. Then it seemed like another half mile walk through a confusing maze of hallways and we weren't even drinking!”

• Dirty, rude staff, difficult to check in and out, housekeeping rummaged through luggage, missing items from my room, maid walked in unannounced 3 times.

“This Hotel is old, they tried to remodel and update and failed, (it's now polished dirt but still dirty, sticky, nasty, closer to a strip bar than an upscale hotel) it's expensive and inefficient. The staff is rude and difficult and the experience overall was not close to on par with rating. The sense of value added to the customer is not even close to their thought process. Wont stay again.”

• Hotel lobby filled with cigarette smoke. Ugh!

“We were pleasantly impressed with most aspects of the Imperial Palace and our stay there, with the unfortunate but severe downside that the lobby/casino absolutely stunk and was blue with cigarette smoke. This meant we literally had to hold our breaths while we dashed from front door to elevator. On the plus side, we asked for a non-smoking room/floor and the floor and room smelled decent and were not smoky. They put us in a handicapped room which meant we had a big bathroom which was a bonus and the room itself was large and clean. Air conditioning worked well and the maid service was fine. No mini-fridge in the room which meant turning the sink into an ice tub, but you make do. Also disappointed that the WiFi access was pay per use and no free access could be found from our room. Minor complaint I suppose. Overall we enjoyed our stay, it was fairly cheap and who goes to Vegas to spend time in your hotel room anyway? Would recommend.”

“Also, they both were able to check in early and had availability for King beds. We checked in right at 6, and there were no more King beds left. They also had a gigantic tub and their room looked more updated.”

• Pool was closed early on Sat and Thursday due to Laui. I don't think it was a 3 star, more like a 1.5-2.

“Hotel was decent for a quick rest. The check in is at 4:00pm and check out 11:00 am that's less than 24 hrs and the general appearance of the hotel is out-dated and aged.”

“I was here with a friend of my. The trip was pretty good. But we left one night earlier because they woke us up every day. I went gambling al night and than I like to sleep through the day with the no disturb sign at the door. But still they opened the door and screamed room service. Then she saw us laying on our bed and left again. But then I am awake and can not sleep again. So that was pretty bad.”

“The hotel is centrally located, which is great, and it also has access to the Las Vegas Monorail. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, however, the rest of the hotel is old, outdated, and very unattractive. I hated going back and forth from my room to the strip because I had to walk through what felt like a dirty casino.”

• The parking facility is incredibly inconvenient to get to and from.

“Room was clean, but getting to it was a joke. There weren't enough employees at the check-in desk; I waited in line for half an hour just to check in. Also, the elevators were slow and too crowded. If you are going here, I would recommend checking in as early as you can in order to avoid long lines. Also, the parking garage is very out of the way. We had to go from the third floor parking down to the ground level, out the garage, around the maintenance office, through the ground level of the hotel, up the elevator, and through the shops and casino to get to the front desk.”

• The price and location were the only good parts of this hotel.
• The hotel was very outdated, the clientele was very lower-class, and there were few amenities.

“This property likely has not been updated since it was built. Conveniently located on the strip near other higher-end hotels, the hotel provides a haven to value-driven travelers, looking for a bare-bones room and few amenities. While there was nothing wrong with the room and whether it was ok to sleep in. It also houses one of the weirdest casinos on the strip, complete with entertainer/dealers. On my visit, I saw Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, and Billy Idol perform in front of some of the tables (very odd, indeed). I personally would not go back (as an young professional in his late 20's), but if you are a senior citizen, or just looking for a cheap place to squat for the night, this may be your destination.”

• Rooms were new and modern did not expect that from a hotel that has been around for awhile. Very impressed.
• The maze we had to go through to get to our room was confusing. Wish it was more convenient to the parking garage.

“Staff was very friendly. Cable TV did not work and they moved us right away. Very nice and when I played table games (shift boss?) was friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay.”

• Very plain and staff was a mix of friendly and not. Expected a little more out of the rooms.

“It is a great location on the strip and the celebrity look alike, dealers were great. The restaurants were okay. Great location for the money though, that was my main concern and it paid off in that aspect!”
