• The hotel was dirty and very dated.

“This hotel is dire need of an upgrade, everywhere. The elevators are slow and overcrowded. Stairs can only be used going down to main level not up or from floor to floor.”

• Filthy carpets throughout, filthy bathtub, cracked/stained vanity, noise, screaming guest in hall at 6 AM.

“Property is a filthy rabbit warren, feels like a disaster waiting to happen. Carpets are filthy, corridor lighting is dim, same food spillage remained on the hall carpet outside my room all three days of my stay. Linens were yellowed, towels were thin! Bathtub is filthy all around edges, room carpets stained and covered in grimy film wear your shoes. Would never stay here again.”

• Constant noise through room walls. Loud outside music or loud voices in hall.

“This Hotel (Westin) was awful. We moved 3x and all they did was knock off 50.00. We feel like we are deserved a refund. We had to pack up four people 3 times and move.”

• Our room was terrible/bugs on floor/entrance to room from outside garage.

“Hotel was nice, but the room was horrible. They put us in a room that looked like we entered from an alley and honestly there were bugs in the room (big ones).”

• Good location on the strip with the monorail closes by.
• Needs renovation, older furniture and bathrooms slightly rundown.

“The Imperial Palace was in a great location on the strip and was one of the hotels on the monorail network. This made it very convenient to get around. It was an older hotel and so the furnishings were older and the bathroom somewhat rundown. The rooms were clean. The pool was beautiful and our room had a balcony that looked right out onto the pool. The elevators were so slow that we ended up taking the stairs down eight flights to get to our car with luggage. It was probably good for us though after a long night out. Parking was a little inconvenient to get into for a Vegas hotel. Weird layout of the hotel and parking.”

• It was old, dirty. It was not what I expected at all and was charged an additional fee when I checked in.

“I will not stay there again. If we could have changed when we arrived without forfeit of the money paid we would have. We had four rooms and since this was many family members. It was extremely embarrassing.”

• This is not a 3-star hotel motel 6 is better.

“The hotels water smelled and black stuff came from the bathroom sink. Next the parking was very far long walking distance from room, the view from window was parking lot and was like a jail cell you can see everyone balcony then at night everyone is screaming from balconies, and putting their shirts up nasty. Terrible bad hotel and smelly. Could not take a bath while staying there for 3 days makes no sense how bad the water is. Had to use babies wipe for my daughter and I to be clean.”

• Everything else was horrible.

“I will not encourage nor recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. As a matter of fact it would have been better to stay at Motel 6. There was a constant horrible unpleasant stench from smoke, and odors.”

• I loved the location, the convenience and the staff.
• Not as many "cool" things that the other hotels have. A great place just to sleep and gamble.

• Mirrors on the ceiling and location and mirrors on the ceiling. Yummy.
• The smell in the hallways.

“Excellent location especially for those with their own ground transportation. Easy access to the parking garage via the back street. Front of the casino right in the center of the strip. Couldn't have been a better location possible. Only one $5 blackjack table though which was always crowded with a line waiting. Great pool and mirrors on the ceiling over the bed and the hot tub in the suite :) Bring a pretty girl like I did and you will never leave the room.”

“Amazing hotel, good for location right in the heart of the strip, food is good and the rooms are comfortable, I really enjoyed my stay.”

• It was walking distance to everything.
• Everything was fine I was only in room/casino 1/4 of the time in Vegas.

“Nothing fancy with room, view was great off balcony. Would have been nice to have small fridge in room to keep drinks cold. Most of all the good places to go were walking distance or a short cab ride away$283 total for 3 days split 4 ways you cant beat it.”

• A little rough around the edges, more like a "nice motel".

“The location can't be beat, right in the middle of the strip! The elevators and some of the other parts of the IP are rough around the edges (worn - carpets a little dirty, etc) but I hear Harrahs purchased and is renovating the IP (e.g. the new front desk area is not luxury by any account but clean and nice enough for a budget hotel in a great location).”

• It was on the strip.
• It was a little confusing and the room was a tad tacky.

“I wouldnt stay in the hotel again, and I wasnt not fond of the fact I wasnt able to get the military discount that I should have gotten from the hotel. But non-the less, I did have fun, but it wasnt because of the likeness of the hotel but of the strip.”

• It was located in the center of the strip with good access of transportation.
• Layout of elevators to restaurants was confusing.

“Dislikes: spa & swimming pool closed. Refund of return deposit slow. Solicitors in hotel trying to coax you into buying into time shares. Likes: Celebrity look alike entrainment at the casino tables. Location of hotel.”

“I would stay there to sleep or rest but not to enjoy a good night sleep. The mattress was old and had a funny odor, the carpet was dirty and the hot water was not running for a couple of hours. We would appreciate some kind of refund or discount on our next stay.”

• The rooms had an awful stench. I was put into a room with mirrors over the bed (which I was alone and did not ask for). Very trashy hotel.

“Only stay here if you are looking for 1970's pornography appeal. The rooms smell like someone has been smoking in them for 30 years. Bed is a rock, Couch was Styrofoam for the price, you could stay at a nice hotel, not here. I woke up super early and showered and moved over to my new hotel (Casears) as I didn't want to catch any bugs in this place. Its just gross.”

• It's location to the strip was great. Parking was good.
• Could smell smoke in my non-smoking room. If I had gone through the hotel, I could have gotten the room cheaper.

“The hotel is in a great location. Ample parking. The bar service was quick and polite. Didn't have to wait long for a drink when playing slot machines.”

“When we arrived at the hotel in a cab, it was not busy at all. No one came over to us to ask if we needed help with our bags. We then entered the hotel, looked around and found the area for check in. Not knowing anything about the hotel, we looked for the bell hop service. I stood there for 3 minutes before someone asked me what I wanted. Keep in mind they were not busy! I asked to have my bags taken to my room. We proceeded to our room. 20 minutes later no bags had been brought to our room! I had to call the front desk to see how long it would be, if it was going to be a while, I would come back down and get the bags myself. They said they were on the way. 10 minutes later they arrived. Not good! The room was not very nice, certainly not 3 stars. One evening neither of the two ice machines on our floor was working. I called the front desk to see if I could have some ice brought to the room. They said that they would send up a bag but would have to charge $6.00. I said that I should not have to pay when the machine weren't working. They said they would have to send someone up to verify that the machines weren't working. I ended up going to another floor to get ice.”

“Although it's not the most upscale place, it has all the needed amenities. Its location is superb, especially for the price. Just sleep at the Imperial Palace, and then walk over to more upscale joints like the Venetian.”

“In the middle of staying in 10 cities, I stayed here. What a mistake. The room was noisy, the internet connect flaky, windows didn't seal properly, the service after check-in was borderline rude and certainly uninterested.”

• I love the character karaoke nightly in the casino/lobby.
• Room service took over 1 hour!

“Overall experience was good. I have stayed here before so I knew what to expect. Was disappointed with room service as it took over 1 hour to get my food and it was cold when it arrived :-(.”

“We've stayed here before and remember it being one of the most horrible experiences we've had in Vegas and swore that we wouldn't stay there again. But this time it was very pleasant. IF it wasn't for the confusing elevator system and parking. It wouldve been an awesome stay.”

• Standing water slow - draining shower.

“The IP was a nice hotel. Tried to fall asleep one night after we came in and there was a "chirp" from a worn out smoke detector that kept me awake (2AM) and I finally called the front desk - security came right up to the 17th floor to search for the culprit. They had to knock on several neighboring rooms until they found the room with the bad detector. I thought that was very attentive. I was not impressed about the size of the TV and lack of channels - they don't want you to hang out in your room - they want you on the casino floor.”

• The location is hard to beat! Mid-strip & it's one of the monorail stops!
• Even the "remodeled" rooms needed some spiffing up, but it was adequate.

“The I.P. is an older hotel that has had some upgrades, but it is definitely not in the same class as hotels like the Bellagio or the Luxor. It's a great hotel for those who are on a tight budget or those who would just rather spend their money on things other than their room. Room was clean and adequately furnished, but no frills. Location can't be beat!”

• It had a monorail stop which made travel convenient.

“I had a horrible experience at the Imperial Palace. When I got there was no nonsmoking room. After a scuffle with the front desk, I was "upgraded to a suite" and told that he would waive the $ 40 a night fee and not charge me for my kid. The room had only one bed but they did give me a fold up bed. But more importantly, it could best be described as the "porn star palace". Mirrors on the ceiling and a huge tub with mirrors above it that could fit 10 people. There was no shower not connected to the tub which meant we had to shower in the middle of the room. Definitely not appropriate for kids, which he knew we had, and could not even be described as romantic. It was really quite 70's porn star. To top it off, our room was right near the edge of the building, and a local nightclub nearby kept us up all night. You may not believe this but the room was definitely haunted. Every time we took pix white orbs of light appeared in the pix, and in one, you can see an image of a mans face in the TV screen that was not visible to the naked eye. I know it sounds crazy but it is true. I have pictures to prove it. Needless to say, it was an adventure that we made the best of, but I will never stay there again.”

“The hotel is located perfectly on the Vegas Strip. It is directly in the middle. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel is older but our room was not too bad. The Buffet was pretty good.”

“Great location, but the rooms and reception areas are old in appearance and smell. Elevators were in poor condition. Reception area is too crowded and not too helpful or friendly staffs. Hotel rooms are located right on top of the noisy carnival tents of Harrah's hotel. Music is too loud and people are rowdy.”

• None of the bars carried Jamison Whiskey.

“Its a great location in the middle of the strip, but the room was dirty and the sliding glass door to the deck didn't work very well. The Dealertainers were fun. Its also a great location for taking the monorail.”

• Casino was stinking with smoke, did not like having to go through casino to register.

• First room was beautiful!
• Noisy neighbors made us move to a less attractive room because of their loud vulgar language and slamming doors.

“The hotel should've been more sensitive to our needing quiet after midnight. Super Bowl joy did not bother us, but the next door neighbor cursing and slamming the door that went to our room was unbearable after midnight, but when we went to complain, the hotel did not instruct the neighbor quiet down or be moved; instead we were given a room with worn out carpeting, cracked vanity bowl and no toilet lid. The management did not handle this fairly in our opinion.”

“Our room was on the 14th floor and it took us a minimum of 15 minutes to get to our room because of the long wait for the elevators. The room was supposed to be an upgrade and recently remodeled but it seemed dated and plain. It contained an in room spa but looked dirty so we did not use.”

• The Hotel restaurants had a nice variety, not too pricey.
• They charge $20.00 to use the gym, no coffee makers in room, slow/packed elevators, beds uncomfortable, tiny balconies.
