“If looking for a clean, low cost room at a hotel on the strip this was a good deal.” Sep 5, 2009 by

“Run down.” Sep 2, 2009 by
Mike from Phoenix,AZ
“Our room had not been cleaned up after the prior occupant. We were given an upgraded suite as a result, but the suite was a disappointment as well. It was right by the parking garage which made it hard to sleep, and the TV did not work. On our second night we attempted to eat at the Pizza Palace, but ran into several issues. After placing our order (3 salads, a wrap, and two appetizers), we watched for the next 40 minutes as other people were seated and had their orders taken and food delivered. Finally, one of the members of our party (a restaurant manager) went to the back to find out what the problem was. The ticket for our order had fallen behind the printer, and so our order never made it in. This was questionable as the restaurant was not that busy, so you would have hoped the waitress would have been following up on the orders for each of her tables. On top of that, after taking our order and bringing our drinks, the waitress never returned to fill our glasses until much later in the evening after the food situation was rectified. Fortunately our party member took action, otherwise there's no telling how long we would have sat there waiting for the food. 15 minutes later, everything arrived... except for the house salad one of the party members ordered. A couple of minutes later and that was out. After all of that, you would have thought that some measures would have been taken to compensate our party for the long wait and the order mishap. Not the case. The same party member who took action before, once again stepped up to say that this was unacceptable. The waitress took it to the manager, who waived two beers off of the check (about 10% of the value). We told her that it was not good enough, and had her bring over the manager. He proceeded to blame us rather than listen to the situation, but finally agreed to go back and remove one more item. When he came back with the check, he told us $32 had been taken off the bill and left. Lo and behold, i” May 15, 2009 by

“Excellent location on the strip and friendly staff.” May 7, 2009 by
Jacqueline from Grandview,MO
“Very nice and the shows were free in the casino area. We didn't spend much time in our casino, because we didn't know all they offered. Plus there is better across the way. They music was great and the employees were very helpful. I would stay there again.” May 4, 2009 by
Chandra from Tulsa,OK
“Hotel was right in middle of the strip and was at a good rate. Was also next to the Monorail that would take you up and down the strip. Staff was fun and friendly. They had impersonator black jack dealers dressed up like Michael Jackson and other famous people. Hotel was also near plenty of cheap dinning and nice dinning as well.” Apr 27, 2009 by
Ryder from Sterling,CO
“Be prepared to wait 30 minutes or more to get checked in. I checked in on a Wednesday at 10pm and it took that long, can't imagine when they are busy! Front desk did not answer phone for 20 + rings every time I called. I was over charged on my room service by $2-$3 an item. Came back to the room the second night and my key did not work so I had to wait another 30 minutes at the front desk for somebody to reset it. No apologies from anybody about the wait or the faulty key. The room was clean and the maid service was good.” Apr 22, 2009 by
Denise from Cumming,GA
“Rooms are very plain, but pretty clean, no frills. Non-smoking rooms were as advertised no smoky smell.” Apr 4, 2009 by
Amy from Portland
“The casino was dirty and unimpressive, the rooms were worse! We were told that our room was in the Capri building. Turns out, we weren't even in the hotel building! Our room was dirty and old, and the area felt unsafe and sleazy. If you have any self-respect, don't stay here.” Mar 8, 2009 by
Michael from Winnipeg,Canada
“Great for the money.” Dec 29, 2008 by
Darryl from Ridgeland,MS
“The only negative was that you had to go through casino to get to the elevator to go to your room. this may not be a problem for some but with children it could pose some problems. Other than that I loved the room and the restaurants.” Nov 13, 2008 by
Marion from Indio,CA
“Did not use valet parking because it was backed up. Self parking was a long walk to check-in. on the way to check-in we were attacked by several employees selling time shares. The water was very slow to drain in our sink and tub. The location of the hotel was great (center of strip).” Nov 6, 2008 by
“The check in process was really friendly and the hotel room was what i had asked for. My room though was a bit dingy, it looked like nothing had been kept up in years. The shower did not drain and there was no fan in the bathroom to circulate the air. Tha air condition unit also was not that clean (air filter).” Nov 5, 2008 by

“Check in was a long and difficult, room are terribly outdated, noise is a problem, and parking garage is very distant and filthy.” Oct 5, 2008 by

“I would say this hotel has seen its day. It had a worn out feeling to it.” Sep 22, 2008 by
G from Phoenix
“The room was old and smelled like smoke. It was a non-smoking room. The water in the tub would not go down slow drain is what they told me. The wall paper was pilling off the wall the elevator was slow staff was nice.” Sep 17, 2008 by
Chris
“Mini suite had mirrors on the ceilings and the shower was ridiculously large, cumbersome. I was just crashing for the night - took a late eve flight and needed to get up early so had just a few hours to sleep. I found the room inappropriate for my needs. I was not a leisure traveler - There was a family emergency I was trying to get to.” Sep 13, 2008 by
Hung from Pace, DE
“It was pretty loud all night, the set up of the hotel is confusing, and hotel has a funny smell through out.” Sep 12, 2008 by
Derek from Billings, MT
“The hotel is in an awesome location for inexpensive travel to Vegas, seriously how much time do you really spend in your room?.” Sep 11, 2008 by
Steve from Chicago, IL
“This hotel is in a perfect location. A bit run down. Staff was very friendly.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Debra from Sandy, UT
“If you're looking for a hotel that has dirt in every place possible, then this is the hotel for you! The room was absolutely nasty. We didn't even want to walk on the floor without our shoes on. The bed was so uncomfortable and the sheet didn't even cover the bed. There was hair on the mattress pad that was showing through where the sheet did not reach. If you value your health, please stay somewhere else! The only good thing about the room was that the air conditioner worked really well. This is the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in.” Sep 10, 2008 by
D'Arcy from Vancouver, BC CA
“Totally in need of renovation or replacement. They try hard to work with what they have but it's a joke. It's a flop house at best.” Sep 8, 2008 by
Craig from New Plymouth AU
“Just a comment. One of the concierge staff was not all that helpful.” Sep 8, 2008 by
Rasel from Manassas, VA
“Check bathroom and shower. Provide pen and paper to write.” Sep 7, 2008 by
Fernando from Vancouver, BC CA
“Good price for central strip and location is very convenient to go to other places in the strip.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Joe from Stamford, CT
“While not updated like most modern Strip hotels, the staff is friendly and the rooms are neat and moderately spacious. The mid-Strip location is hard to beat -- but I could beat the slow elevators up the stairs!” Sep 5, 2008 by
Karen from Rockford, IL
“Good location on the strip, the room was large and comfortable. The bed spread had burn holes but overall it was a nice experience.” Sep 3, 2008 by
William from Rancho Cucamonga, CA
“The elevators are too slow. It is a bit on the run down side.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Larry from Mahomet, IL
“If I wanted a star level of 1 or 2, I would expect a hotel like this. But a star level of 2.5 or above, this hotel did not meet my expectations.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Ann from Virginia Beach, VA
“The Imperial Plaza is ideally located right in the center of the Las Vegas strip with monorail access right out the back door, regular cab availability and walking distance to multiple attractions. Rooms were clean and spacious although slightly dated in decor. Only problems we ran into was that the WiFi did not work much of the time and I depend on internet for my business. We would have liked more cable TV choices as well (nothing but news, sports, & networks - would have liked maybe HBO, E!, MTV, Bravo, Oxygen, etc). But then again, we didn't really come to Vegas to watch TV & as for being close walking distance to great shows, shopping, & dining it was perfect.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Gamaliel from San Antonio, TX
“Except for not accommodating me for a nonsmoking room the hotel was a very nice place to stay. The staff was always very informative of what was available around the hotel and if they didn't know would take the time to find out the information and inform me of it. The price for the food at the restaurants was lower in cost than some of the other restaurants in the area but food choice was a little limited. The casino area wasn't what I would consider a full casino but if you like playing the slots they had an ample numbers of different machines to play.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Sam from Frederick, MD
“The man at the desk was great, offering my choice of strip view or back side. The room had a balcony which directly viewed over the strip toward Caesars Palace. For the price of a central strip hotel this was incredible. Overall the room was clean, but could use a renovation. Overall bang for the buck, this is unbeatable.” Sep 1, 2008 by
Richard from Miami, FL
“This hotel is very dated. The furniture and mattresses in the room were old, cheap, and in mediocre quality. The carpet in the hallways and elevators were filthy! The Imperial Palace is not a three star property.” Sep 1, 2008 by
Rebekah from Bishop, TX
“This place is disgusting! The rooms were nasty! Not only was this place horrible but it had the staff to match! We tried eating in the Pizza Palace, the staff seated us and then kept walking by looking at us but never helped us! We left and went to another eatery in the hotel. The food was horrible. Overall it was the worst experience I ever had! Would not recommend this place to anyone!” Sep 1, 2008 by
John from San Diego, CA
“I would not stay in this hotel again.” Sep 1, 2008 by
Kevin from Austin, TX
“Do not stay here. It was so bad, we spent our last two nights at the Mirage. The casino floor smells like smoke and carpet was stained. The rooms stink, the sheets stink. I will never stay here again.” Aug 31, 2008 by
Virginia from Toronto, ON CA
“Excellent location, clean, fresh rooms, dirty lobby - very bad introduction to the hotel.” Aug 30, 2008 by
Daniel from El Paso, TX
“This is a very old dirty and smelly motel. Would not recommend this hotel for my worst enemy. Should not even be a 1.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 28, 2008 by
Clint from Tooele, UT
“Check-in clerk wasn't very courteous, but housekeepers, security, and check-out clerk were very helpful. Room was clean and neat, except for carpet which was stained and had gum stuck on one spot. Needs more or faster elevators, they constantly at capacity. Casino definitely need updating or made to look more oriental. Same with the restaurants and shops.” Aug 28, 2008 by
Mindy from Houston, TX
“Every room gets it's own balcony which is great, just be sure to ask for one with a good view. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the tea house is great for any time of day! I highly recommend it for those on a small budget.” Aug 25, 2008 by
John from El Paso, TX
“Such a bad hotel that we only stayed 1 night out of our trip.” Aug 25, 2008 by
Debbie from Scottsdale, AZ
“It was very loud and it was hard to sleep. The music did not stop until early in the morning.” Aug 24, 2008 by
Keith from Ocala, FL
“For the price, it wasn't bad for being right on the Strip but getting to and from our room seemed to take forever. We had to walk all the way through the large Casino area to get to an Elevator. Then it seemed like another half mile walk through a confusing maze of hallways and we weren't even drinking!” Aug 23, 2008 by
Susan from West Burlington, IA
“NA.” Aug 22, 2008 by
Angela from Provo, UT
“If you are just looking for a room to sleep in and have the patience to wait in line to check in, you will be fine.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Karen from Colton, CA
“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is not people friendly and the only people who help you are the housekeepers.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Michael from San Diego, CA
“Not upper crust, good price, great location.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Cameron B. from Boise, ID
“A maze to get through. Fairly run down. No AC in the lobby/casino. Again, a total pain to get around in.” Aug 18, 2008 by
John from Parker, CO
“This Hotel is old, they tried to remodel and update and failed, (it's now polished dirt but still dirty, sticky, nasty, closer to a strip bar than an upscale hotel) it's expensive and inefficient. The staff is rude and difficult and the experience overall was not close to on par with rating. The sense of value added to the customer is not even close to their thought process. Wont stay again.” Aug 16, 2008 by
Andrew from Burnaby, BC CA
“We were pleasantly impressed with most aspects of the Imperial Palace and our stay there, with the unfortunate but severe downside that the lobby/casino absolutely stunk and was blue with cigarette smoke. This meant we literally had to hold our breaths while we dashed from front door to elevator. On the plus side, we asked for a non-smoking room/floor and the floor and room smelled decent and were not smoky. They put us in a handicapped room which meant we had a big bathroom which was a bonus and the room itself was large and clean. Air conditioning worked well and the maid service was fine. No mini-fridge in the room which meant turning the sink into an ice tub, but you make do. Also disappointed that the WiFi access was pay per use and no free access could be found from our room. Minor complaint I suppose. Overall we enjoyed our stay, it was fairly cheap and who goes to Vegas to spend time in your hotel room anyway? Would recommend.”
